Headscratchers / Amphibia

Go To

Headscratchers are questions that remain after you've watched Amphibia, so all spoilers are unmarked!

Kindly refrain from writing in first person, natter, and going off-topic and/or rambling, please. This is a wiki page, not a forum.

    open/close all folders

    Stuff in Hair

  • So, Anne's hair. She got leaves and twigs due to crashing in a swamp, but why don't they wash out of her hair when she goes swimming?
    • Matt Braly has said that Anne more than likely removes them every night, but they always somehow end up back in her hair.
    • "True Colors" implies that the twigs are tied to the powers she received from the Calamity Box. They grow into full branches when she attacks Andrias.
      • She doesn’t have them when returning to Amphibia for the first few seconds until after that montage in “Commander Anne”.

    Anne's Phone

  • Besides the fact that Anne clearly lost her cell phone in the lake in "Best Fronds", yet it looks fine in later episodes - how does she charge it?
    • When Anne and Sprig were outswimming the incapacitated snake Sprig likely dove down and rescued her phone. "Taking Charge" shows that zappapedes, centipedes with electricity, can charge your phone in this world, and that you wouldn't even need a charger - just jump into a pile of them and utilise body's conductivity as Hop Hop did.

    Clothing and laundry

  • Anne doesn't seem to have any clothes besides the ones she was wearing when transported to Amphibia. So where did those piles of dirty laundry in "Flood, Sweat, and Tears" come from?
    • They mention briefly that she had other shirts, and there's a joke about Sprig wearing one of them.
    • But if she has other clothes, why does she only ever wear her school uniform?
    • She doesn't? We saw her in different clothes in Best Fronds when they went swimming. Anne tends to default to her school uniform because it was what she spent the majority of her time in Amphibia wearing before meeting the Plantars. The uniform is pretty ragged and damaged already so it makes sense Anne would stick with it for how dangerous the world is, to avoid ruining more clothes.
    • Anne also being in an unfamiliar location and wanting a semblance of normality might have pushed her to keep her appearance as 'earth-like' as possible, hence donning school clothes. Notably, whereas Sasha and Marcy upgraded their looks, Anne sticks to her uniform even when she's got the chance to try out a different set of clothing in several episodes.
    • "Bessie and Microangelo" also revealed that Anne had something of an aversion to drastically changing her appearance thanks to some of Marcy's horrendous attempts at giving her a makeover back on Earth.

    Stealing the music box

  • What did Anne's friends even want with the music box that started this whole mess?
    • As of "True Colors", Marcy found out that the Calamity Box would let one travel the Multiverse, on the day she found out that her parents were moving, which was Anne's birthday. She asked Sasha to convince Anne to steal the box as the "perfect" gift.

    Anne missing her parents

  • So Anne misses her friends, her cat and her "stuff". What about her parents?
    • Just because she doesn't say it doesn't mean she doesn't miss them. Maybe she's even intentionally doing so so she doesn't have to think about it and get emotional.

    Anne's looks and genetics

  • Why is Anne dark skinned if her parents are Asian?
    • Asians can be dark-skinned and she was most likely born and raised in the US, with her mom mentioning her "California stomach". Also, to dispel the Interchangeable Asian Cultures, Southeast Asians (Thai, Malay, Burmese, Vietnamese) have darker skin than East Asians (Chinese, Korean, Japanese).

    Tomato Pelting

  • In "Civil Wart", the Produce Pelting fight between the two sides includes plenty of tomatoes, which have been shown in "Hop Luck" to be extremely rare and dangerous (since tomato plants are giant frog-eating monsters). How did they get so many of them, and why would they throw them at their enemies instead of eating them?
    • Most likely from young tomato plants that couldn't be as dangerous, since the thrown tomatoes were normal whereas the tomatoes shown on the adult plant were giant.
    • In that case, why didn't they get these smaller, safer tomatoes in "Hop Luck" instead of fighting a giant one?
    • The guess is that Anne accidentally started a trend by putting slices of tomato on Hop Pop's dish; even if the dish was totally terrible, tomatoes were delicious enough that frogs decided in a Death World that tomatoes were worth the risk. Cue a once valuable dangerous commodity that eventually grew too plentiful. In the season finale Sasha managed to introduce ketchup at Grime's castle, and its main ingredient is tomatoes.
    • At that point Anne had been in Amphibia for three months. Is it realistic for a crop to go from "extremely rare delicacy" to "so common, people throw them at each other to express displeasure" in that short of a time span?
    • Perhaps the tomato-like fruits in the Produce Pelting scenes aren't actual tomatoes but similar-looking, less dangerous species like tamarillo or persimmon, and weren't a good choice for pizza because they taste nothing like tomatoes.

    Election voting

  • In "Hop Popular" why is it that Wartwood's mayoral election is voted upon by everyone in the valley and not just, well...the actual citizens of the town of Wartwood?
    • Politics doesn't make sense. Elections aren't made to be fair but to serve the ruling party. The system in Wartwood seems to be the equivalent streams.
    • It's possible that Toads are an oppressive majority on the valley, with the mayor being an elected pawn for their control. So the election might've been a sham election, and even if Hopidiah managed to get everyone in the valley rallying with him they would've found some excuse to deny him the position.
    • Toadstool did seem to think there was a real possibility he could lose, though. It might be one of those racist laws designed to look like it's not racist. Sure, anyone can run for mayor, and frogs are even the majority, so they have an advantage, right? Except the frogs aren't taught anything about how the electoral system works and don't have the money to campaign through the entire valley anyway, leaving the toads as the only real candidates.
    • Maybe the election was supposed to be internal, and Toadstool made up the bit about the rest of the valley having a say. He did manage to convince them he was allowed to pardon himself for embezzlement and attempted child murder.

    Weasel targeting Polly

  • In "Snow Day", the weasel kidnaps one frog every Hiber-day to feed its babies. So why did it target Polly, the smallest citizen of Wartwood (and therefore the one with the least meat) instead of someone bigger that could make for multiple meals?
    • Seeing how an omelet was sufficient to feed itself and its young, Polly would been enough. Perhaps the weasel was also nicer than depicted and picked someone who they (thought) had a low chance of survival, anyway.

    Maddie's dad

  • So, Maddie is cool with her and Sprig breaking up. But what about her father, who made the Arranged Marriage deal with the Plantars in the first place in exchange for pizza dough? Doesn't he feel cheated out of the deal and try to do something about it?
    • Given he mostly cares about his daughter's happiness, if she tells him she's fine with Sprig breaking them up and that she's okay with him not loving her, settling for just being friends, then it might be okay. Besides, she could probably conjure a "chill pill" potion or something to soothe her father down in case he gets too mad.
    • Also, Arranged Marriage is not the same as breakup. You can marry someone for diplomatic reasons and agree to be Just Friends. Sprig may not love Maddie, but her father may want to press on the issue when the two get older and cite agreements. For now, let him get the Puppy Love with Ivy out of his system.

    Why did Sasha wait?

  • Sasha apparently knew for two whole months where Anne was, since Bog went to Toad Tower and informed her and Grime about the uprising in Wartwood. (This comes from Bog saying they're telling the captain everything.) Why didn't she convince Grime to go and "rescue" Anne earlier, while quelling potential rebellion?
    • Grime might've stalled her from leaving and given her stuff to work with, people to manipulate for his benefit and her comfort, anything to make sure his army would be useful when he needs it. Maybe also train Sasha into fighting the same way Anne was training with Tritonio so she doesn't die because of anything this Death World has to offer. Sasha was definitely more busy working for Grime than Anne bonding with the Plantars.
    • It's quite possible that Sasha was lying when she told Anne that she came down the second she heard where she was. She had a whole tower full of minions and was out of her cell for the first time, and she did say she wanted to have some fun first.
    • Grime keeping Sasha in the dark about Anne would make sense. Anne had already demonstrated being morally opposed to the Tower. Sasha's amoral, but could easily have switched sides out of loyalty to her friend and fellow human.

    Sasha's escape

  • In Prison Break, we see that Sasha's foot is chained to the floor, yet she immediately runs out of her cell after Grime pulls open the bars, and we don't see the chain anywhere. What happened to it?
    • Sasha manipulated one of the toads into getting rid of it.

    The Usual
  • In "Reunion", Sasha brings Anne to her chambers and orders her "usual" meal, which is a fattening fare of pizza, hot dogs, tacos, fries, fried chicken, ice cream, etc. How was she able to keep her thin, athletic frame if this was her regular diet?
    • It could be a weekly or monthly meal, rather than daily.
    • Sasha could be bluffing, preemptively telling the chef to cook up a feast, so she could manipulate Anne.
    • Some people just don't get fat regardless of their diet. That's not unlikely.
    • She's very physically active. Keeping her combat skills honed requires a lot of exercise and training, which means she needs a lot of food to fuel herself. Compared to Marcy who uses a small crossbow and Anne who frequently handles a tennis racket, she uses a much heavier sword (later two) which requires a lot of strength to swing efficiently, burning through her calories even more.

     Hiding the Calamity Box

  • What exactly was Hop Pop's line of reasoning for getting rid of the Calamity Box? He read in a book that it's supposed to be dangerous and he brings up how Sprig and Polly's parents were killed by the herons. Except, those two things don't necessarily correlate. Yes, the box is likely dangerous, but stands to reason that Anne will need to get back home, so trying to bury it makes little sense, even if it was to protect Anne from potential danger. In fact, they were carrying it around in the open for a while and now it's dug up again, with no serious repercussions, which only furthers invalidates Hop Pop's decision.
    • Remember it was earlier in the timeline, and Hop Pop used to be (and to an extent, still is) really paranoid when it came to safety, like when he tried to lock Anne in the house in fear of the unknown (which ended up being legitimate since a lake serpent nearly killed her and Sprig). And paranoid people rarely act rationally.

    Marcy moving

  • If Marcy's family DID move away, why couldn't Marcy just text or call Sasha and Anne? She has their phone numbers. This could have avoided all the trouble.
    • The answer is simple: Marcy Didn't Think This Through, worried that the long distance friendship wouldn't work out and wanted to pull her friends into a fantasy adventure without considering the ramifications. She herself acknowledges that she was being dumb in "Olivia and Yunan" when the hallucinations of Anne and Sasha call her out for her selfish behavior.
      • "The Beginning of the End" expands on this a bit more with the flashback showing that Anne and Sasha never really paid attention to her in an emotional sense and tended to disregard her hobbies meaning there is a chance Marcy thought Anne and Sasha would've possibly forgotten about her and drifted away from her if she had moved given how things were when she was in person with them.

    Marcy not moving

  • Why didn't Marcy jump into the portal with Anne and the Planters at the end of "True Colors"? If she was waiting for Sasha, the portal seems to be a safer place to do that.
    • If she entered the portal, the Calamity Box might have returned them to Earth without Sasha. Either way, she was clearly very nervous trying to get the portal working for Anne, and seeing that she was responsible for the mess they're in, was willing to risk her life to let Sasha escape.

    Andrias not moving

  • After kebabing Marcy, why didn't Andrias push his sword through or pull his sword out of Marcy to attack Anne and the Planters? He instead freezes in place for 12 seconds and scolds Marcy for forcing his hand.
    • "Turning Point" demonstrated that Andrias didn't want Marcy dead because she still had a use for his plans. So even though he stabbed Marcy, he wasn't lying when he said that they forced his hand, as from his point of view it was the quickest and easiest way to prevent Marcy going back to Earth via the portal. However, it's clear that he did it knowing Marcy could be saved, and needed to subdue her without fully killing her. He has no need for Anne and the Plantars, so he allows them to escape. Finally, when events are shown from Sasha's perspective in "Turning Point" the whole event occurs in less than a few seconds, indicating that very little time actually passed from Marcy getting stabbed to the portal activating.

    Andrias's Plan
  • Andrias plans to lead an invasion against the human world... with robots that can be taken down with swords and arrows by barely teenage girls. Does he not know anything about their weapons or armies? Even the display of the box's power isn't all that impressive in comparison.
    • An individual robot might not be that powerful, but Andrias might be going for the "overwhelm with numbers" method.
    • "The New Normal" shows that Andrias can build and design machines with advanced stealth camouflage and adaptability on the field, light-years ahead of what human technology can produce. Andrias's Mecha-Mooks getting easily shredded in battle with Anne and the others is because they're outdated models, and even then they're not built up to par.
    • If things go south for him, he can always retreat, learn from the experience and improve the robots even more for the next attempt; it's not like anyone on Earth can follow him. Andrias basically can afford to take his time working on his ground troops to make sure every attempt he makes to conquer earth is better than the last.

    Saving Sprig

  • For all of her talk about "Give Him Back", why did Anne just watch after Sprig fell to his death instead of wasting time beating up Andrias?
    • She did not know whether she could fly long and fast enough to reach Sprig in time, or if he hadn't hit the ground already. Even though she said "Give him back", what she really meant was "You are going to pay for killing Sprig!"
    • Andrias outright says that Anne wasn't in control of her powers. That was basically her version of the Avatar State, activated by being angry or in danger without any thought or logic. If Anne had better control, she could have focused on saving Sprig.

No one cares that Sasha and Marcy vanished?

  • So far, "Hop 'Til You Drop", "Thai Feud" and "Temple Frogs" all involve people asking Anne where she's been, even the school newspaper trying to get an exclusive on Anne. But no one seems to ask her about Sasha and Marcy. What gives? In fact, why didn't the Boonchuys get a visit from the authorites, spurred by Sasha's and Marcy's parents asking what they knew about their daughters?
    • The simple answer to this is there is no explanation. There's no way and it makes no sense that the police - and by extension Marcy and Sasha's parents- wouldn't know one of three missing children has been found if a school newspaper knows and wouldn't seek her out to ask about the two other children who are still missing (since she would now be their only lead), let alone why everyone else isn't asking about them. The most probable reason is that Disney didn't want such serious and emotional subject matter to be addressed in a TVY 7 show, even though they had greenlit and aired True Colors.

    Newtopia's arcade

  • How does Newtopia have an arcade? Before season 3 Amphibia didn't even have electricity. How does Sprig know what an arcade is?
    • This is not Earth where everything has to rely on electricity. They probably make the games working with critters or complex mechanisms and things like that.
    • They have zapadees and such in the Amphibian wilds, so it makes sense a learned culture like Newtopia would be able to create some form of electrical entertainment with the surrounding wildlife, especially since Newtopia itself used to, and in places still does, operate under Magitech

Plantars not freezing in Second Temple

  • How come the Plantars don't end up freezing in The Second Temple in cold temperatures? Given how other episodes like Snow Day and The New Normal show them freezing into ice cubes in cold weather, it's confusing why it didn't happen there.
    • They're prepared with cold-weather gear this time specifically to help them keep their body temperature regulated, whereas both times before they were exposed to a sudden extreme drop in temperature and caught unawares, preventing them from being able to avoid freezing
Why does Anne go back to the school uniform?

  • How come in the end of "Escape to Amphibia", Anne goes back to her old school uniform? If it was for the chestplate, what stopped her from just putting the chestplate over her casual clothes she was wearing in the first half of season 3?
    • It seems Anne has come to think of the look as her 'adventurer' getup, given how she stated she was comfortable in her own look during 'Bessie and Microangelo'. The breastplate makes sense as she's going into a fight, but perhaps for Anne, an additional factor was that she didn't want any of her clothes to get destroyed? Part of the reason she was fine wearing other normal clothes on Earth was that she wasn't expecting to be in danger at any point, but in Amphibia, she knows that she's going to get ruffed up dealing with Andrias and his forces, so wearing some 'disposable' clothing like a school uniform prevents her from losing any clothes she cares about keeping.

    Marcy on handshakes

  • How come Anne claims both Sasha and Marcy found her handshakes silly in "Wally and Anne" even though Marcy had no issue doing one with Maddie in Maddie & Marcy?
Sprig, Sasha, and Marcy breathing in space
  • How are Sprig and Sasha & Marcy (after being depowered) able to breath in outer space in "The Hardest Thing"? Anne likely survived due to her powers, but Sasha and Marcy spent time in space depowered for a bit and Sprig also went up to space with no powers without consequence?
    • Narrative convenience and maybe a rushed production.
Marcy going back to her Chief Ranger Outfit at the end of All In
  • How was Marcy able to even obtain a nondamaged version of her season 2 Newtopian chief ranger outfit after being freed from the Core in All In and change into it so fast? Given how her shirt, chestplate, and cloak would have a big hole in the center from being stabbed, it does feel confusing how she was able to find a nondamaged version of said outfit let alone change from the black Core suit to the Newtopian chief ranger outfit that quick.
    • Given her clumsiness and knack for somehow catching on fire at random they might have had multiple copies of her outfit made and kept in her room in the castle.
Sasha's reaction to seeing Anne again in "Commander Anne"
  • When Sasha sees Anne again, she's overjoyed and gives her a hug. But, doesn't Sasha's reaction seem a bit...unrealistic and unexpected? Last time they saw each other, Anne called Sasha out on her BS, and telling her what a horrible friend she is. And in "Turning Point", even if they did set aside their differences fighting Andrias, Sasha is feels a lot of guilt that a part of her believes Anne still hates her. If Sasha thinks Anne hates her, don't you think she'd question why Anne would care to come back for her? If a person hurt their friend really badly and then regretted it, they would understandably feel they're the last person that friend wants to see again. Anyone who's been in that position (i.e. Catra) would attest to that.
    • Looking at the episode, Anne is shown to be the one initiating the hug when they reunite, not Sasha.
    • Anne may have initiated the hug, but the fact remains Sasha didn't question why Anne would care to come back for her.
    • Even if Anne was still angry at Sasha, Sasha knows Anne obviously wouldn't leave Wartwood to suffer Andrias' invasion and given she was in Wartwood when Anne came back, it explains why Sasha isn't too surprised Anne came back. At any rate, Sasha does say, "I don't believe it, you're back" when first speaking to Anne in the episode.
     Anne's Gem
Did Anne's gem/the heart gem not fully charging ever end up figuring into the plot? It seems like a strange detail to emphasize and then not do anything with.
  • It is the reason why Anne is still connected to her gem and still has her gem powers in True Colors and season 3 while Sasha and Marcy don't.
Why trust Sasha faster than Marcy?
  • Considering how New Wartwood shows Wartwood being hostile to Marcy despite her doing nothing wrong to them at that point while Turning Point shows Wartwood instantly trust Sasha despite her having lied and nearly killed Hop Pop back in season 1? It does feel odd that they're more open to trust and accept Sasha than Marcy.
    Why stab Marcy?
  • If Andrias really wanted to stop Marcy from using the box in True Colors, why didn't he just knock her out or just have his Frobots render her unconscious rather than stab her to near death? Considering she was needed as a host for the Core, stabbing her and nearly killing her seems counterintuitive.
Why does Andrias not send them home immediately?
  • Given at that point Anne trusted Andrias over her own childhood friend Sasha, why couldn't Andrias just send the girls home now and do the invasion later? The only ones who sorta knew his true nature were Sasha and Grime, but it's not as though anyone would've believed them due to the toad rebellion proving they were untrustworthy so why show his true nature to them now.
Why does Sasha not wear something nice in The Dinner
  • Considering everyone else in The Dinner wore something nice, even Grime with his suit, it is confusing why Sasha didn't bother putting anything nice on and just went with her usual armor at the time. And it's not like she'd have much trouble finding a dress/suit since she was able to get a punk rock outfit in Battle of the Bands and a cheerleader outfit in Grime's Pupil so there were sources for her to get a nice outfit. So, why does Sasha not bother putting on something nice for the dinner and only goes in her normal armor?

    Gifts from Newtopia
  • When shopping for souvenirs in Newtopia, how does Sprig think to get a gift for Ivy, but not remember the matching gem she wanted?

    Anne’s extra shoe pair
  • If Anne lost her shoe again thanks to quicksand, why didn’t she put on the extra pair her parents packed her. Did she put the pair on when they returned? Couldn’t the Toads have returned Anne’s old one?
    • After the Rain shows Anne's other old shoe was taken by magpie beetles after Toad Tower collapsed so that addresses the last one.
      • As for why Anne didn’t put on her extra shoe pair? Was it because because she was recognized with only one shoe?
      • Maybe she did try to put on her extra shoes, but lost them by other means off screen between Commander Anne and Sprivy considering she has a thing for losing shoes.
      • Maybe she never put on the extra pair because of her habit.

Extra clothes for Sasha and Marcy
  • Why didn’t Anne’s (or even Sasha and Marcy’s) parents give Anne some extra school attires for Sash and Marcy?
    • Anne didn't know if Marcy was alive at the time.
      • What about Sasha? Why didn’t Mae and Bee or even Sasha’s parents pack an extra school uniform for Anne to give her?
      • Marcy's Journal did explain they never told Sasha's parents about the situation until after the events of All In. And what use would Sasha even have for her school uniform at this point considering she is fighting in a war with armor being preferred? If it's extra clothes, either they'd get more armor or simply whatever casual clothing Sasha wears outside her school uniform.

    COVID in the series
  • Despite the ending of the show being set in March 2020, we don’t see anyone being quarantined (which is good). Sprig did have a face mask. Does the Amphibia and Owl House universe never have COVID because no one expected it to happen?
    • That's the most likely explanation: no one predicted a pandemic happening, so to maintain narrative cohesion (and to not remind the audience of current/recent events - there's a reason the Twin Towers were CGI'ed out of one of the Spiderman movies in the early 2000s), the creators left it out.

    Marcy's injury
  • In the Marcy take over theme song, she is in hospital P Js and she hurt stuff aside from her leg (which is short size is signed). In the series, she is wearing her school uniform and just her leg is broken (much longer size and not signed). Is it mixed non-canon?
    • Marcy's Journal shows she still had her school uniform until she got her Chief Ranger outfit so perhaps she was given a different cast when she met Andrias.
      • But Andrias is revealed to have signed the first cast. And Marcy still has just her leg broken when meeting Andrias. So probably it was sort of a reenactment?

    Marcy and Sasha's school uniforms
  • What happens to Marcy and Sasha's school uniforms after they put on their new gear?
    • From an AMA of Braly's, they tossed out their school uniforms when they got too ratty.
Why school uniform in the Core?
  • Why did Marcy automatically revert to her school uniform specifically when the Core removes the illusion of fantasy after rejecting it in All In? Considering she was wearing her Chief Ranger outfit when stabbed and had it on when solving the puzzles in the room (before Aldrich came in and gave the illusion), why wasn't she in that one? Or if it was supposed to be her inner self without Amphibia, why not whatever casual outfit she wears outside her school uniform?
Why no armor for the Plantars?
  • Why did the Plantars not bother putting on armor at any point in season 3B? Given everyone else in Wartwood was wearing new armor and Resistance outfits with even Anne having her chestplate and the fact they're fighting in a war, it's weird the Plantars never get new armor too, fighting in their normal clothes instead. Polly's likely too small to even wear any form of clothing, let alone armor but what's Sprig and Hop Pop's excuse.
     That's a big bathroom...
  • Why is the Plantars toilet so big? It appears to about the same size as or slightly larger than an average human toilet, despite the house having been built by and for someone the size of Sprig. The only real explanation that comes to mind is that it could be to allow for Toilet Teleportation.
    • OP here, but the idea that Amphibian bathrooms are designed to allow for Toilet Teleportation would make the climax of "Trip to the Archives" a bit more logical, as Sprig and Hop Pop instantly expecting the pipes to be big enough for them to swim through after realizing the place used to have a bathroom is a bit odd otherwise.

How on Earth did they cover up the invasion?
  • In the very last episode, we find out that people on Earth consider Andrias's invasion of Los Angeles to have been nothing more than a hoax. This, despite the fact that thousands of people were obviously killed and the extreme damage caused to the city. How would something like that have been covered up, especially considering the invasion itself was broadcast around the world on TV and the internet. Any attempt to cover it up by taking all that information down would simply clue the public into the fact there was a coverup.

     Why 2019?
  • Why does Matt Braly want to say the show is in 2019? Was it because it premiered in 2019?
    • Probably for that exact reason.
      • But there is no year given in the show. We know it make sense for media to be set in the modern time for the year it’s released or in production. For example, The Simpsons. They may have their cars but they have stuff set post-1987-89.

    Gravity Falls connection
  • Word of God has apparently confirmed that Amphibian versions of Dipper and Mabel exist. Given how these characters seem to mirror Gravity Falls, in a show where the plot hinges around a bunch of girls from another world desiring to return home, does the "Ponds" family, like the Pines family they're based on, also have a broken world-traversing portal in their basement?
    • Possibly not. Assuming there is only one Bill Cipher and not a "Bull Frogger", there would probably be no need — nor the resources — for Frog Ford to be able to build a portal as scientifically advanced as the one on Earth. That is, assuming he just didn't create a portal out of magic. Plus, what would Bill want with Frog Ford?

    The Calamity Guardian's true form
  • Of course Anne freaked out when she saw it, it was just blasted into her face without warning! If they(?) had given her a heads up, and did a slow, trackable transformation, couldn't she have tolerated it?
Sasha showing evidence of evil Andrias mural
  • Considering Sasha still had her phone at the time of "True Colors", why didn't she use it to try and take a picture of the mural showing Andrias' true colors to Anne? Did she seriously belief Anne would believe her with zero evidence after she betrayed her? At least a picture would have been some evidence to plant seeds of doubt in Anne.
How was Marcy planning to execute the world travelling plan if Andrias didn't betray her?
  • How would Marcy have pulled off her plan to take her, Anne, and Sasha on more adventures for the rest of their lives? Like it's not as though she was planning to confess the truth, so how would she have even convinced them to go along with going on more world traveling adventures without telling them why she wanted to do so?
    • A week after the girls got back to Earth, she would have hit up her friends and asked "Hi, Anne, Sash, want to go on more adventures? I've still got the box!"

How is Marcy dealing with the fact she destroyed half of Los Angeles?
  • Marcy had her body taken over by an evil supercomputer and, while in that state, was used by it as a vessel to destroy a major city. That's traumatizing enough on its own, but consider the following. Marcy lived in Los Angeles. Plenty of the people who died in the invasion might very well have been people she knew. Even after Andrias and the Core are defeated, how is she going to deal with her role in the disaster, especially considering there's no one she can talk to about it?
