Funny / Toontown: Corporate Clash

Go To

Much like the source material, being a video game where one must defeat the fun-hating villains with silliness and jokes, Toontown: Corporate Clash has its fair share of funny scenes and moments.

As a moments page, all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

The Game

  • The level 1 Zap gag is an Electric Joybuzzer. Your Toon uses the gag by approaching the Cog with it, and the Cog holds its hand out to touch it… only to get electrocuted.note  And it's freaking hilarious to watch.
  • If you attempt to fire or sue a manager, they will dodge the attack. Some managers have unique phrases for this.
    • Attempting to sue Duck Shufflernote , Bellringernote , or Pacesetter has them state that they already have multiple lawsuits (or in Pacesetter's case, speeding tickets) standing against them.
    • Attempting to fire Firestarter has him point out that he's already on fire.
    • Attempting to sue Charon or Kerberos has them bluntly state how they wouldn't show up to court.
  • The 1.3. ARG sources a lot of funny moments from the Cogs.INK profiles. Some highlights include:
  • Before fighting Derrick Man, you're treated to a cutscene where Rain tells him a joke. This not only causes the toons to laugh, but it also deals 10 damage to Derrick Man himself. Even when the fight starts proper, he still has that 10 damage to his HP from earlier!
  • After defeating the Land Acquisition Architect, he stomps on the floor in a fit of rage, and subsequently learns that Gravity Is a Harsh Mistress.
L.A.A.: Now tell me mighty quick, is it me or is this situation very much up in the air?
(He looks down and sees a massive hole beneath him)
    L.A.A.: Oh.
  • Upon defeating The Directors, the C.E.O. will re-enter the room, and will immediately back out after seeing that they've been destroyed.
C.E.O.: Well, it's been nice seeing you Toons, but uh, I gotta go! The banquet, it uh, might be in jeopardy!
  • Most of the Managers have unique dialogue for friend request denials, some of which are pretty funny:
Derrick Man: Not exactly the kind of message I was hoping to send.
L.A.A.: I DON'T CARE WHO THE TOON COUNCIL SENDS, I'M NOT PAYING MY PROPERTY TAX!
Multislacker: You're just trying to mooch off of my cable package.
Mouthpiece: Sorry sweetie, my knitting club is already full.
Pacesetter: I am begging you, pleading, even— to stop wasting my time.
  • The Multislacker manages to squeeze in a lunch break into their fight, forcing two Factory Foremen and some other lackeys to step in during said break. They can even offer the Toons some snark once they finish their sandwich:
Multislacker: Sigh... lunch break over... Did you enjoy your break as well?
  • One of Treekiller's death quotes is just him writhing in pain before flying off.
Treekiller: AGGGH! Ogh noooo, ACKACKAGH... oooooough....
  • In a moment of schadenfreude towards other Toons, the Pacesetter has unique dialogue for defeating an Uber if one is foolish enough to attempt his fight.
Pacesetter: I have no RE-SPEC for you.
  • Speaking of which, the Pacesetter doing the Family Guy death pose upon defeat will never not be funny.
  • For another moment from Pacesetter: His Phase 2 status effect has a description that outright tells you that reading it does not seem like the best use of your time. Considering you have around 6 seconds to pick a gag, this is more than accurate.
  • The Fools' Brass kudos task presents the fairly funny NPC of Sal, who speaks in an interesting way, to say the least.
Sal: Make brass with copper need zinc for copper to make copper with zinc brass brass for music played with brass from zinc and copper.
    • And at the end of the task, once you go back to a resistance ranger, they reveal how there's a blacklist for Toons making reports to HQ and how Sal is the newest name being added to it.
  • Do you want to know what the name of the song is in the first round of High Roller's fight? Too bad. Die.
  • After the credits were done rolling in the High Roller fight, the High Roller himself ends up winning his own free cruise. How? By getting it dropped on him, of course!

The Comics

  • The three April Toons comics, by nature, are quite comedic. Drastically changing style between every panel (going from extremely detailed drawings to panels made up of clip art you would find on google) as well as showing the repeated plights of the focus character (Redd in "Peanut: The Game: The Movie: The Comic", Rocky in the other two comics) to hilarious effect.
  • The CJ looks absolutely hilarious donning his vacation gear. It's so easy to get used to the Cogs wearing suits that the prospect of a Cog wearing an aloha shirt is enough to induce a bit of comedic whiplash. Doubly so with the Chairman screaming his name with explosive rage.
  • Whilst Scout and Rocky talk about the aftermath of Break the Law in "Hired Help", another HQ Officer is seen choking on a marshmallow.
