• Holly Willoughby and Ruth have these.
• Richard and Judy dragging up as each other.
• Holly makes a weird snorting noise when laughing at something. Three minutes later, she and Philip are still cracking up at the noise Holly made as every time it's played back - first the clip, then just the weird snorting noise - they end up laughing harder and harder until eventually they can't take anymore and Holly is in pain.
• Philip screws up a line:
  Philip: Get ready to dick out — oh ho ho!
  Holly: (barely able to speak through laughing!) That might be your best yet! What were you saying?
  Philip: Get ready. To dig out. Your ducktape. Oh, man - it's a Monday!
  Holly: I was so happy it's not me!
  Philip: It's twenty five to eleven. Already I don't do many of those!
  Holly: That was fantastic!
• The show had a wine tasting very early on with Lily Savage (Paul O'Grady), she gets a little too drunk and throws the glasses into the river (at the time the show was in Albert Docks).
• Richard getting hit in the face with a book.
• There's a clip when they had Gene Pitney singing to close the show out but he's waiting there as the prerecording started and he realises that he's on camera and starts 'singing'.
  • For the 25th Anniversary they re-showed the clip and Holly broke out in a cold sweat watching it back.
• The cooking segment is always funny things can and do go wrong.
  • There was a early episode where they made Garlic Ice Cream, Richard spat it out and Judy was sick afterwards.
  • Sometimes things fail or if you're Sherrie Hewson, you drop the tray.
  • Phil and Holly were forced to cook for themselves as Gino D'Acampo was home sick, well they did their best but Gino called in angry that they weren't doing it right and Holly showed off a trick to test the pasta only to find out the Windows were TV Screens.
  • John Torode has two famous mishaps, the first had him cooking on location when a helicopter landed close to him resulting in the contents of the table flying everywhere. The second was during Lock-down had him focusing on the food that he left a tea-towel to catch alight on a lit stove, as Phil and Holly alert him to it and he had the alarms going off.
  • James Martin made a Cauliflower Soup however the blender wasn't attracted correctly and it went everywhere.
• There used to be a segment where they had a map of the UK on the docks where the presenter would announce the weather, during the moment a naked man ran on them and jumped in the river.
• Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton, only had to sneeze and they would start laughing.
• Phillip in one piece about Biscuits revealed that he doesn't like dunking biscuits in tea, however later on they had slices of Roast Beef which he added some sauce to, Fern then said this line that left them in tears from laughing.

  Fern: See you don't mind dunking a bit of beef do you?

• Alison Hammond could pretty much take up an entire page, as hinted by these examples:
  • She has been on roller coasters screaming herself silly.
  • During a promotion for a competition, Alison was in a mobile home and got her dress caught on a door.
  • She went to surprise an old lady called Jill for Mother's Day who's three children were aboard but while she was happy later on Jill was in complete shock which made it accidentally funny.
  • She was in Italy to promote the competition when, she was nearly arrested due to not having a permit to film the Leaning Tower of Pisa, after the promo it cuts back to Alison getting the cameraman to move to show the police and the last footage is her running away.
    • She then did the second promo in a hotel room where she asks the winner to help bail her out of jail if it happens.
    • However the next day she gets the permit where she happily pretends to hold up the leaning tower and she tells them she's going to Genoa next on her cruise only to say ""Geneva"" by accident.
  • She interviews all the Hollywood Celebrities being all flirty with the guys and they don't mind.
    • She married Dwayne Johnson and when she went to hug Pierce Brosnan but in the end launches herself at him which he takes in his stride.
    • She interviewed Dame Edna Everage who told her how great she is by telling her that the BBC don't pay her enough afterwhich she reminds Edna that she works for ITV which they kept in.
    • One of the best is her interview with Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling for the film Blade Runner 2049 where it's basically Alison admitting she hasn't watched the original and Harrison is delighted by her natural humour.
  • On the show's 30th Anniversary (3 October 2018), the show's famous floating weather map, which had appeared during Richard and Judy's stint on the show from 1988-2001, made a return for one day only with Hammond manning it. As you'd expect, what went wrong did go wrong. She managed to lose her balance when she jumped to Ireland and ended up pushing one of the assistants into the water by accident.
  • During the first Lockdown Alison was home and she tried the then-trending Pancake Cereal, while waiting for it to cook she was dancing and the frying pan went flying.
  • Alison did a tour of her newly done garden where she showed that all the plants are fake, she's using her neighbours tree with lights and hasn't bothered to cement a wall around the plants.
  • Alison has also cooked on the show, she forgot to put her wet ingredients in her Brownie mixture and she made her family's Saturday Soup which uses a packet Chicken Soup which is called Cock Soup Mix which left them in stitches.
  • Alison did a Halloween Episode where she thought Trick or Treat was Treacle Treat instead.
  • They did a segment on Moisturiser all throughout Alison is covering her chest in the different products regardless of where they were meant to be on her body by the end of it she has made her chest reflective.
  • On April Fool's Day 2024, she and Dermot were presenting. The show began with a segment regarding a vase valued at £30,000 found by a woman named Joanna on Antiques Roadshow the previous day. Then, it all goes wrong when Dermot bumps into it.
  Dermot: The thing is now- (Alison and Joanna gasp and give out a yelp as Dermot knocks over and smashes the vase)
  Alison: Oh my god... I'm so- (walks to Joanna, who is blindsighted at the vase in pieces) Are you joking, Dermie?
  Dermot: So-
  Alison: So Sorry... (Joanna responds with only a squeak, Alison comforts her)
  Dermot: I'll pay for it, I'll promise I'll pay for it, I'm so sorry. (Joanna tries to speak, but is still speechless)
  Alison: I don't even know what to say (Joanna squeaks again) I'm actually gonna get upset. I'm so so sorry! Joanna, I'm so so sorry!
  Joanna: (crying) This shouldn't have happened! (Dermot continues to apologise) No no no no! Listen! Just-
  Dermot: I'm so sorry, I'll pay for it. I'm so sorry everybody. Well I've only got one thing to say which is APRIL FOOLS! (laughs loudly, jumps excitedly and points to her as the screens display an orange "April Fools!" banner) WELCOME BACK, ALISON!!! (canned applause and cheering)

  • So, the whole thing ended up being a prank from the let go, planned out by Dermot and Joanna. Alison's reaction was priceless:
  Alison: Are you joking? (canned cheering continues) Ah, that is SO NOT FUNNY! THAT IS SO NOT FUNNY! I was-
  Dermot: Ahhh, I can- ALL weekend I've been going "If I turn round like that... then maybe" (acts out what he just did, then points to Joanna) You are —> sensational, by the way! (Joanna hides her face, crying in laughter)
  Alison: Do you know what? I was- I actually felt sit- I was actually going to start crying and- I didn't know what to even say. (Dermot and Joanna continue laughing) That was so NOT funny.

  • On the good side, the actual vase was in a glass case, fully protected well.
• Also added to the team is Josie Gibson, who like Alison, is accidentally comical:
  • She's been on Roller Coasters and during one Halloween Week, she did a Ghost Maze, screaming herself silly.
  • She fell off a Surfboard, went on the UK's longest Zip Line, and afterwards she could hardly stand.
  • She and Alison went to the Alps which clearly was a mistake with Josie showing that she is unable to ski and Alison while doing some wine tasting leaned on a table causing it to collapse.
  • When she went Ghost Hunting, Phil and Holly notice that her Ghostbusting Jumpsuit has ripped on the crotch, asking her about it she admits she ripped it at the petrol station meaning she wore it since dawn.
• When Holly was pregnant they did a piece of alleged Ghost Photographs and Holly became completely terrified, so she ran off the set crying. While she explained that normally things like that don't affect her it was still great TV.
• 19/01/16 - Phillip and Holly tell the viewers that they are going to have a messy night at the NTAs the following evening. Proceed to the following day, the show wins "Most Popular Live TV Programme" once again. The twosome end up doing just so by throwing a massive late-night party at Ant's house and well... let's explain what happened "The Morning after".
  • So, it's 20 January. Phil and Holly show up to work drunk and are still wearing their formal clothes, telling the viewers they never came back home after the party finished. The show The show proceeds to show embarrassing images and clips of them partying the night away with Ant and Dec, playing Pie Face, and getting into total havoc.
  • After the first advert break, they change into casual-formal clothes. The cast of Loose Women brings them a celebratory cake to celebrate their NTA win. What does Holly do? Take several bites of it using a serving spoon! It's all seen right here.
  • Then, Phil Vickery decides to take advantage of the situation making Fish and Chips with Pickled Eggs, Peas, and Mayonaise, making Phillip and Holly eat it.
• 2018 had Brenda Blethyn on the show to promote Vera, with her pet dog Jack, the dog had been quiet for most of the interview, however near the end he jumps on Brenda then as she goes to leave it cuts to her trying to leave with Jack still trying to hump her leg.
• 01/04/19 - It's April Fool's Day, but Holly completely forgets about it. Don't worry, the production team knows what to do!
  • It just seemed like it was a regular fashion segment... But what goes wrong does go wrong for the woman.
  • The lady was given a treat and was dressed by the team - to terrible results. She starts getting upset while Holly tries to keep a straight face.
  • So, the team decide to give the lady the rest of her prize; a drive to a fancy restaurant. However, the car crashes right onto the set and Holly almost blurts out a Precision F-Strike. She then finds out the whole thing was done just to prank her, and that the woman was just an actor. Holly's face says it all when Phil tells her what day it was.
• Animals have appeared on the show and they don't behave:
  • Snakes are a great example of humour.
  • There was a crow on the show and Holly was freaked out when it flew across.
    • The Crow returned on 23/01/23, where Holly was still nervous of it.
  • They had a woman who claimed that she weaned her Dog on a Vegetarian Diet to the boast that it would go straight for Vegetables, however they put the two bowls down, the dog went straight for the meat leaving the owner red in embarrassment.
  • They've had Horses as well, and as you'd expect, they urinated on live TV.
• Gino D'Acampo is one of the regular chefs the show has, he has a thick Italian accent that gets mistaken for something else and is known for laughs as well.
  • When the show was up for a NTA, Gino vowed to cook naked if the show won, they did and he kept his word, Comedy Gold, Holly assistants him but never does she look at him thought out and Phillip tries to be serious.
• Phillip decided to try the World's Hottest Chip, he had to wear gloves, there was Ice Cream and Milk ready for him as well. Well they choose to put it at the end of the show in case he needed Medical Care. However they kept filming, he starts sweating and his eyes were about to pop, but he kept going to 10 minutes. The best moment is when Holly admits she's concern when he needs to use the toilet. However he came in the next day.
• Even the show's "Spin to Win" phone-in competition that's run since 2020 has seen funny moments. Basically, the rules are the person needs to be at home and say a password, however 'This Morning' is live and it's rare to get the first caller, either the person's not in or they say hello, fail:
  • Also to make it fair they can't receive pauses and will go straight on.
  • Sometimes nobody has gotten through so either they go to it later on if they have time or they will add it to the next day's amount.
  • They used to do surprise holidays, but this eventually backfired after the very first caller on this respective moment won a holiday to their hometown.
  • One time, the Wheel failed to come down and so Holly quickly ripped up an old script and wrote numbers on it to still play the game, since then they have included the tombola in case there is a problem.
  • One time Rochelle Humes was in place of Holly, she got the tombola but then was in the wrong place, to her credit the next day Philip pointed to the tiny clear sticker that she was meant to find.
  • On one of the earlier Spin to Win installments (from 19 March 2020), Phillip proceeds to almost call the "Bag of Shizzle" (the merchandise that Phillip and Holly commonly call as such) a "Bag of Shit" before stopping himself.
    • Then, on the 8 November 2021 episode, the £1,000 winner of that day proceeds to say the abovementioned quote loud and clear not once, but twice! Phil and Holly try to censor her remark very badly, but it fails anyway. From the look of Phil and Holly after hearing that, it appears that they agree with the caller... in a sarcastic way.
• Poor Rochelle suffered during her time replacing Holly, her Bangle flew off when they did the medical segment.
  • Then one episode started with both Phil and Rochelle on the floor looking under the window explaining that just as they were ready to start Rochelle’s earpiece fell out of her ear and bounced under the skirting.
• Miriam Margolyes and her Precision F-Strike every time she appears. Needless to say, Ofcom fears for their life when this happens and the presenters always apologise.
  • And when she's not turning heads with her pre-watershed swearing, the show normally has her appear as the Agony Aunt which takes the cake in comedy.
• Gyles Brandreth appears frequently to discuss stories, but he has become part of the humor of the show as well with his natural wit and unique jumpers.
  • In a 2021 Garden Party episode, Gyles nearly squirted Holly with a Ketchup Bottle filled with Water. However, he simply decides to squirt everyone anyway.
  • Then, comes the segment that occasionally happens on Friday episodes - Can You Beat Brandreth. You bet your bottom pound what ends up happening.
• February 2020: Pete the Llama spitting in Phil's face.
• Bradley Walsh and his son Barney pranked the show during a phone-in.
• During the show's first Christmas Special in 2020, Holly gets presents and reacts in comical shock as it's a pair of slippers that look that Bluebell, her Ragdoll Cat, made by Cuddle Clones. She does try them on and jokes that later on Christmas Day when she's had a few drinks she will have to check the slippers before putting her foot in them.
• 15 March 2021: Freddie the Seal urinating live on-air.
• 25 March 2021: Stephen Mulhern spontaneously bursting onto the set in the middle of the show to present Phil & Holly with a tiny trophy for winning "On Air Dares"^note Context was provided on the following Saturday Night Takeaway, leaving a Confetti Drop behind him.
• Halloween is a day for dressing up of the team, however in 2022 everything went crazy, maybe a bit more crazy than before:
  • The team are dressed up as the Addams Family. Phil is Fester, and Holly is Wednesday, and Alison is Mortica. During the round up they started corpsing when Gok Wan forgetting his lines. Even Alison starts off as well.
  • They were speaking to a woman who was going to marry her Ghost Fiance, she then sneezes and has a fit which results in Holly being terrified as she has been told the Fiance is there.
  • Gyles Brandreth talking about the time he played was in a Radio Play and his one line came out wrong as you can imagine Phil and Holly started laughing.
    Gyles: That was the chair Schlitz sat in when he was shot.
  • During Guess the Gadget, Holly utters a Precision F-Strike. The best part of all? Even Holly was shocked about how she automatically blurted that out!
• Holly and Philip couldn’t stop the laughter (even with Philip giving his best wheeze to date) as Holly was giving a close out statement, only to state “If you don’t know how to… shit-” - though in fairness she meant Shiitake Mushrooms.
