• Americans Hate Tingle: Well, the US looks at the show as a strange thing, compared to their TV Shows at the same time, it's so different and due to the subjects presented many times the presenters have said that such a show couldn't work in the States. A view of the Google comments and it's clear who is British and who is American.
• And You Thought It Would Fail: The show was never promoted before it's airing on 3 October 1988 as everyone felt it would end by Christmas and within a week it had 2 million
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Alexandra Knaggs, who is never seen on-screen, but listed in the end credits and has never spoken on-screen either.
  • Claire Nye, who also falls into this category.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Freddie the Seal, who provided a funny when he urinated live on-air on 15th March 2021, was tragically mauled to death by a dog only six days later, with the news being broken on the next day's episode.
• Iconic Character, Forgotten Title: People tended to call this show Richard And Judy to the point they were given a show of that name on Channel 4 when they left This Morning. When in the original couple were replaced, it was common enough to hear the show called Philip And Fern.
• Nightmare Fuel: For a daytime show, they will occasionally put this in.
• The Scrappy: When Richard and Judy left for Channel 4 in 2001, their replacements were... Loose Woman star Colleen Nolan and Twiggy. Needless to say, viewers weren't that thrilled. Twiggy only lasted three weeks before being axed, while Colleen Nolan stayed until the end of the year.
