Funny / THE TECHNO QUEEN!

Go To

  • In the second chapter, Dennis meets THE TECHNO QUEENnote :
"She actually said harrumph. Who did that? Who actually said harrumph? THE TECHNO QUEEN. THE TECHNO QUEEN said harrumph. Dennis honestly wondered if he was in love."
"Witness, as I turn every single piece of chocolate in this town into broccoli."
  • In Chapter 1.8, THE TECHNO QUEENnote  has Grue and Bitch kidnap Clockblocker, and she sends a message to the Wards telling them what she has done, to bring them in for a fight. Hours pass, no one comes, and finally Grue realizes what's wrong: TTQ forgot to tell the Wards where she was keeping Clockblocker. Cue the Stunned Silence and Clockblocker then being released in the most undignified manner possible.
    • It is also worth noting that in this chapter, TTQ gets into a heated arguement with Lisa/Tattletale since the latter is utterly refusing to wear the “sexy minion” clothes TTQ got for her and Alec/Regent.
  • In an Omake, after THE TECHNO QUEENnote  kidnaps Dinah:
“NO! HOW COULD THIS BE?! How could I possibly lose to you?” The Techno Queen cried out in despair as she pounded her hands on the ground in fury.
“I'm a teenager; I like video games,” Dinah explained in a deadpan.
The Techno Queen drew herself up, the very picture of wounded pride. “No matter, for you shall still feel the Arctic chill and icy fury of...” She pulled a bowl out from behind her back as she dramatically declared, “brain freeze.”
    Dinah smiled.
    Best. Kidnapping. Ever.
  • The Gender Bender gun. The Techies' reactions to TTQ's bots shooting everyone in the city with it go from total befuddlement to laughing so hard they start to cry. Then, during the subsequent battle with the heroes (the Wards, the Protectorate and New Wave) everyone gets hit by the gun at least once (Aegis, who was the one that triggered this reaction by stating TTQ was harmless, more than once). Of course, Clockblocker milks the hilarity for all that it's worth.
Female!Clockblocker: Damn I’m hot, and by hot, I mean sexy.
    Female!Gallant: Shut up, Clockblocker.
Female!Armsmaster: We have to do something about this.
    Female!Clockblocker: Right you are, Armsmistress.
    Female!Aegis: Shut up, Clockblocker.
Male!Ms. Militia: We’ll have to hunt down The Techno Queen. She’s the only one I can think of who can undo the city-wide transformation.
    Female!Clockblocker: Agreed, Mr. Militia.
Male!Shadow Stalker: Clockblocker, I will murder you, I swear to god.
Female!Clockblocker: That's Time of the Month, to you. My new cape name. You like?
Shadow Stalker tackled Time of the Month with an enraged roar. It took three of his teammates to force him off of her.
  • During the "Freaky Friday" Flip arc, both Clockblocker and TTQ try to take off their respective helmets (they've switched with each other). While Clockblocker not being able to get TTQ's helmet off is understandable (she literally glues it together and needs solvent to take it off), TTQ somehow couldn't get off Clockblocker's mask, going through an angle grinder, knife, and a blow torch. What kept it on? Velcro.
    • Also, in the "Freaky Friday" Flip arc, Panacea winds up in Gallant's body on a date with Glory Girl. Amy quickly realizes that Victoria's hyperactivity would drive her insane if she ever did get into a relationship with her, and only manages to keep Vicky from getting touchy-feely (which thanks to some hefty Character Development she finds appropriately Squicky) on their date by distracting her with expensive items as they visit the mall. Even better, it's later shown that Dean has either since adopted or was already using the same technique.
Victoria: Amy is acting odd. Every time I go to hug her, she shouts out a random fashion name and runs away.
Dean: That would explain the bill.
      Victoria: What does that mean?
Dean: Look, a Tiffany bracelet I bought for you!
      Victoria: It's so shiny!
    • This story arc also features Rachel in Kid Win's body, whose closed-off and distant loner attitude transforms Chris overnight into a Chick Magnet (much to poor Chris' confusion and terror after everyone is switched back and he's nearly chased down through his high school by a horde of admirers).
    • invoked Additionally, Sheriff Lung ends up in Aegis' body... and literally the first thing he does upon ending up at PRT HQ is to sit in a La-Z-Boy.
  • Worm fanfiction has had many ways of dealing with the bullies, ranging from ignoring them, to using tape recorders to get proof of their actions, to using superpowers on them. This one probably has the most unique way possible, as it involves a fugitive, formerly Birdcage-bound Master body-swapped into that of Shadow Stalker beating up Emma and Madison, making them confess to their actions, and then leaving once the deed is done.
    • Speaking of which, thanks to Canary airing her proverbial dirty laundry, Shadow Stalker is now Princess Umbra, the world's most pink superhero. Needless to say, she is not happy about this.
  • And even after said shebang, Shadow Stalker still taunts THE TECHNO QUEENnote , who then proceeds to unchain Dragon.
Was that routine enough for you, Shadow Stalker? Sincerely, THE TECHNO QUEEN
"In other news, some villain called Saint had some kind of shock-induced heart attack."
  • The entire age regression arc. Especially when they drive off a dozen babysitters as they can't deal with super powered five-year-olds.
    • And then they crash a birthday party that Parian is working at. They completely destroy her professional reputation but she can't get angry as she really, really hated the birthday girl. THE TECHNO QUEENnote  proceeds to recruit her on the spot.
    • This story arc also has both Victoria and Sabah/Parian commiserating with one another about how they can't help but feel like pedophiles now since their significant others have been turned into toddlers... toddlers who spend their entire time eagerly hugging the legs of their respective partners.
      Victoria: ...Can't feel your leg?
Sabah: Oh, fuck no. There’s just dead meat there. The pins and needles are going to be monstrous.
[Victoria and Sabah burst into laughter]
    • After TTQ and Clockblocker eventually recruit Armsmaster and Dragon to assist them as babysitters, Armsmaster and a de-aged Rachel decide to "share their interests"; as in, Rachel hoists a puppy on him while Collin gives her a smartphone. Special mention should be given to how Collin is described as trying to "investigate" the puppy with the exact same mindset that Rachel has while she's playing with the smartphone.
    • Meanwhile, Dragon sets down kid!Brian and kid!Sophia to watch My Little Pony after they get into a fight. When they return to normality, they both become bronies AND friends. Perhaps Friendship IS Magic...
      • At one point, when Vista catches Sophia watching the series, she destroys the TV in an attempt to hide what she's doing.
  • TTQ and the Dastardly Techies' efforts to find a new Designated Victim for their kidnappings. They end up choosing a woman called Charlotte Victim.
  • Danny meets his new neighbors Felix and Trixie Civilian.
"Why are those birds on fire!?"
"MY HUSBAND’S A PYROMANIAC AND AN ANIMAL ABUSER! GET OFF OUR PROPERTY!"
  • Scion discovering how to best enjoy life: by being a Troll who is (among other things) screwing with Lung and his attempts to prove himself more "heroic".
  • Mark is one with nature.
    • "I’m sorry, Carol, could you repeat yourself? I couldn’t quite hear you over the sound of me being a freaking CENTAUR! WOO!"
    • The Girl Scouts distracting Carol with a laser pointer.
  • Bob (AKA Boston's PRT Director).
    • Clockblocker, after being kidnapped by the Boston PRT office, proceeds to screw up with them with full-blown Passive-Aggressive Kombat.
  • Accord has discovered the perfect plan to solving world hunger: ice cream.
    • Then he makes an agreement with the Boston PRT Director: if he buys him an ice cream, he will join the PRT... and claim that the Director getting an ice-cream is part of the plan. The PRT troopers complain because they also wanted ice-cream.
  • Weld breaking down to (metaphorical) pieces as he interacts with the Brockton Bay capes, particularly Clockblocker.
