General
2021
- Episode 3 of the main story has a few good ones.
- GingerBrave mistaking the foul smell of a Ginkgoblin for Wizard Cookie’s B.O.
GingerBrave: Aha! I thought that was Wizard Cookie’s smell!Wizard Cookie: (visibly angry) What…?- After leaving the Pilgrim Village, the gang runs into the Ginkgoblin Boss. As it so happens, Chili Pepper Cookie knows who he is and strikes up a conversation about his bounty. After realizing it’s higher than hers, she gets pissed off and threatens to take care of him herself.
- Right before fighting it, the Guardian Golem demands that the heroes fetch it “THE BLACKEST, BURNING HOT CONCOCTION. Um… OF THE VENTI SIZE!” It essentially wants them to get it some coffee so it can properly wake up from its nap and fight them.
- In a behind the scenes video for the English voice actors, it starts with Dark Enchantress Cookie (Patty McCormack) beginning her rant on how she's taking over Earthbread...and then it cuts to the recording studio as the director notes that the reading was so dramatic it knocked a poster to the side down.
- The Korean voice actors play
Among Us in character. So that means Sorbet Shark's VA only speaks 0oooooh like in canon! What makes this even more hilarious is that it made it easier for Sorbet Shark to hide that they're an imposter!
2022
- During April Fool's Day for 2022, Poison Mushroom Cookie finds a batch of Rainbow Shroomies. Licorice convinces them to share them with the cookies of the Kingdom to sow discord. The shroomies themselves aren't poisonous but do have some... effects. Primarily, altering the character icon of a cookie that eats them. Many of these results turn them into more humanoid designs made to be either attractive or adorable, but several of them have just plain weird effects.
- Madeline Cookie's icon changes to a more hastily scribbled humanoid version of him with a long, pointed chin that he strokes as his eyes beam with enough light to obscure most of his face.
- Dark Choco Cookie is rendered in a style similar to Berserk, calling attention to his missing eye and giant sword.
- Mala Sauce Cookie, in a call-back to an April Fools event from Ovenbreak, is replaced with a pre-rendered 3D sprite.
- Affogato Cookie looks like the standard "Attractive humanoid" transformation, but a closer look reveals he's, predictably, abusing this newfound stature by pouring something on Wizard Cookie. He's most likely pouring a shot of espresso onto him, as Wizard Cookie is made with ice cream. Thus, he's making an affogato.
- Almond Cookie's is rendered like a gritty detective comic.
- Vampire Cookie becomes a two-in-one nerd and jock act. His cookie form is a bookish type with a juice box, and next to him is his bat form filling the role of the jock by lifting weights with his wings.
- Cookie Odyssey
- In Chapter 1 Day 2, Hollyberry Cookie forces Dark Cacao Cookie to sit down and have a glass of juice. Dark Cacao winds up getting drunk off of just that one glass and trying to swordfight a tree, which leads to Hollyberry pulling him aside and giving him some ice cream to sober him up. The catch is that she got the ice cream from the Crow’s Nest Inn, meaning it’s raisin flavoured.
- In Chapter 2 Day 2, while the gang is exploring the Night Market in the Lower City, Crunchy Chip starts complaining that he’s having a hard time finding his way around because of the large crowd. When Wildberry Cookie says that he can see through the crowd just fine, Crunchy Chip immediately asks if Wildberry is calling him short.
- Also in Chapter 2 Day 2, the day starts off with Crunchy Chip Cookie admitting to having a nightmare... of being caught eating jellies by King Dark Cacao Cookie and he and his wolves forced into disciplinary training. What makes it funny is Crunchy Chip's delivery of how "terrifying" this is.
Crunchy Chip: (frantic) I felt my insides turn inside out!- Crunchy Chip being fascinated by a doggy toy run on batteries.
- The “Report of One Fine Day Off” Costume story is told from the point of view of Chiffon, and is basically just him describing his day off being pet by other Cookies as if it were a top secret mission. At the end of it, Red Velvet Cookie (whose costume was him as a Cake Hound fur stylist) scolds him for reporting on something so frivolous and says that he’s getting his fur trimmed last.
- BTS: Braver Together
- The concept of BTS, Korea's #1 Boy Band being cookies is already funny on its own, but it gets funnier when the storyline of the event is the Cookies of Darkness becoming their own boy band group, B.A.D.4 to take over the world!
- At one point, SUGA immediately lampshades that B.A.D.4 trying to take over the BTS concert is bound to get them into legal trouble.
2023
- During the Explore the Universe on the Dream Express event, Stardust Cookie asks Space Dougnut to explain what type of being Dr. Evilglaze is. But the way he asks Space Doughnut isStardust Cookie: That fellow over there...tell me, is he a 'kyu-kyu' or a 'poo-poo'?
- The 2nd Anniversary "Crunchy Dreams" event has many dream scenarios play out that combines the hilarity of their April Fool 2021 event.
- How do they recreate Dark Choco leaving the Cookies of Darkness behind? As a Middle School AU complete with uniforms and Dark Choco being the rebel who decides to go back to his family's elementary school! Bonus points include Licorice Cookie wielding a broom instead of his scythe and Schwarzwalder's long and elegant farewell to Dark Choco, implying that this is his dream!
- GingerBrave is a new student in Latte Cookie's class and everyone notes that he's naked (aka just himself).
- Tiger Lily wants to be able to understand other cookies, so Pitaya Dragon complies...by making other cookies into cats and giving them cat ears! So yes, that means you have the image of Werewolf Cookie, Crunchy Chip Cookie, and Red Velvet Cookie meowing like cats.
- Devil Cookie is stuck in an endless hallway with no way out should be terrifying (and it is, given how the hallway keeps going and the red filter and off-key music box music)...were it not for Angel Cookie's infamous face making a return as they pester to Devil that the only way out is with a good deed.
- Pinecone Cookie wishing to be the best forest guardian ever has them gain the body of a bodybuilder as they proceed to do their job. Even their owl is significantly beefy.
- Knight Cookie seeing many suitors wishing to marry Princess Cookie, ranging from the likes of Sparkling, Eclair, Clotted Cream and, most surprisingly, Raspberry Cookie! By the time Princess Cookie comes his way, he wakes up and screams in agony over it.
- Purple Yam Cookie's dream is about a legendary yam hero who defeats the evil Archlord Dark Choco Cookie and gains the love of everyone, up to Dark Cacao calling Purple Yam his son!
- Custard Cookie III has a dream of learning that cookies are grown in the field, not in an oven. Cue baby versions of Vampire and Espresso being swaddled in blankets.
- Speaking of April Fools, what's this year's event? A Romance Visual Novel that lets the player romance five candidates — plus a sixth one — if the cookies were in a high school AU. Ever wanted to date Rachel Raspberry, Herbert Hoo, or Derek DaChoco? Here's your chance!
- "Legend of the Red Dragon":
- Wildberry Cookie giving Pitaya Dragon Cookie the Atrocious Alias of "Mottled Tropical Cocktail Cookie" when telling them to hide the fact that they are a dragon. They eventually settle down on just calling them "Pitaya Cookie". In the character notes, Wildberry Cookie internally notes that he thought his idea was good.
- The scene where Royal Margarine Cookie gets drunk doubles as a Tear Jerker, as he reveals his insecurities and Fake Ultimate Hero status. However, that doesn't make it any less funny. Special mention goes to Pitaya Dragon Cookie revealing that they were able to understand Buttercream (Royal Margarine Cookie's wyvern), which obviously shocks Royal Margarine Cookie and makes Wildberry Cookie and Hollyberry Cookie worry that the jig is up... only for Royal Margarine Cookie to assume that Buttercream learned to speak with cookies.
- During the expedition, Pitaya Dragon Cookie asks Buttercream to stop protecting Royal Margarine Cookie all the time. In the English dub, this results in Royal Margarine Cookie, who usually has a deep and suave voice, letting out an absolutely pathetic high-pitched shriek as he begs Buttercream to slow down.
- World 17 has many hilarious scenes of the Cookies entering the Golden City.
- When Wizard Cookie needs to drink something, GingerBrave hands him a canteen of water, to which Olive Cookie says that it's water the Cheesebirds use to wash themselves with. Wizard Cookie spits it out in horror that he's essentially drinking bath water.
- At one point, a sphinx gives them the traditional riddle of "Four in the morning, two in the afternoon, three at night". In a unique subverison, the answer is not man, because the cookies don't know what a man is.
- Burnt Cheese Cookie wishes to weigh the souls of GingerBrave, Wizard and Black Raisin Cookie, but he also decides to weigh the souls of the Raisin Crows as well. Just as he finishes, more and more crows ask to be weighed, to the point he lampshades how many Black Raisin carries on her.
- GingerBrave pointing out how the speech bubbles of the cookies in the Golden City look different.
- Holiday Express
- Everything involving Schwarzwalder joining in on what is essentially the Cookie version of Murder on the Orient Express, whether it's him excited of him having a reputation of being a bad guy or his horror of finding out he drank two cups of bear jelly mustache.
- When Angel Cookie is interrogated, Macaroni Cookie is quick to point out their infamous gaze.
Angel Cookie: (with their famous stare) Yeah, I get that...sometimes.- After it's revealed that Old Jolly is okay, Schwarzwalder thinks that he died and went to heaven.
2024
- As is per tradition at this point, the annual April Fool's Day event is full of ridiculousness.
- The premise is that you have to help a very long-legged GingerBrave keep his balance as he tries to escape the oven, using arrows to help him stay upright if he starts to lean too far over in one direction. The very image of GingerBrave with legs the length of his own head is incredibly silly.
- The event seems to take a page out of OvenBreak's book in regards to Stylistic Suck. The art is crudely drawn, the text is full of misspellings and Leet Lingo, and the music is wonky and distorted.
- The background is full of silly doodles of other Cookies that get progressively sillier as you keep running. You have things like an MSPaint drawing of Capsaicin Cookie lifting weights, Shining Glitter Cookie posing like a poster for Barbie (2023), Royal Margarine Cookie eating a sauna egg while Snapdragon eats Royal Margarine's hand, and the list goes on. While most of these sprites are just silly, low-effort doodles, Espresso and Madeleine Cookies' old sprites from 2022 and 2023 respectively make a return as well. Seeing Espresso as a Picasso-esque painting and Madeleine as a fully shaded anime guy amidst a sea of MSPaint art is a hilarious juxtaposition.
- Run far enough and you'll get to see some ridiculous cutscenes.
- GingerBrave meets an Awakened Moonlight Cookie… as in, Moonlight Cookie who just got out of bed, with an extreme case of bedhead to boot.
- A cutesy, pleading Smoked Cheese Cookie asking if he can be king around here, only to be shut out by a loooong Burnt Cheese Cookie telling him he shall not pass… and then he just keeps getting longer every time he says it, with his mask and his speech lengthening to go with it. Talk about an Overly Long Gag!
- GingerBrave encounters "Runaway Train Milky Way Cookie", which is a train with Milky Way Cookie's face on it and Stardust Cookie in the conductor's seat. GingerBrave tries to warn her about someone on the tracks while she passes by, yet she completely ignores him and runs the poor unnamed schmuck over as if nothing was there.
- The Cuckoo Town Square story has Caramel Choux Cookie deal with the multiple crimes of the Pointy Punks. This includes littering, having their punks snag on clothes and dropping banana peels. And she treats the last one as though the Pointy Punks are going to detonate a bomb.
- Street Urchin Cookie's special loading screen sees Caramel Choux Cookie gleefully driving Street Urchin's motorcycle without a care in the world, while Street Urchin sits behind her with an expression best described as her completely losing her mind.
