Fridge Brilliance

  • Dark Choco Cookie and Dark Cacao Cookie are easily two of the most powerful cookies in game. In real life Dark Chocolate and Cacao beans are infamous for their strong, bitter taste.
  • Dark Choco Cookie is Dark Cacao Cookie's son. Chocolate is made from cacao beans, so it makes sense a cookie made of cacao beans' son would be chocolate.
  • Dark Chocolate is incredibly bitter in real life. The Dark Cacao kingdom's culture is against anything with sugar, so of course any children with chocolate as their main ingredient would be bitter.
  • Cocoa Cookie's heavy focus on healing seems a bit odd for a Defense Cookie, until you remember her skill from OvenBreak — summon a large floating mug of cocoa for her to ride in — which can activate when she picks up an Energy Potion.
  • When Lilac Cookie makes a request at the Tree of Wishes, he will specifically ask for something fragrant. While you can give him something that would normally fit the bill (like flowers or freshly baked goods), he'll occasionally ask for something like an axe, a shovel, or a saw while still saying he wants something fragrant. While this can easily be written off as a case of "one quote doesn't fit all", which is the case with many other Cookies, it makes a bit more sense when you remember that Lilac Cookie is a hitman, and "fragrant" could be a code word he uses in public to hide what he's really up to.
  • Cookies other than Espresso are caffeinated (Latte and Affogato for example), so why is he the only one who gets any effects from it? Simple, An Affogato is Espresso mixed with ice cream, so the ice cream would take some of the kick out. A latte is more milk than coffee (8-15 ounces of milk compared to 1-2 ounces of coffee) So it would have a very low caffeine content. An espresso on the other hand is pure caffeine, so Espresso would be getting insane amounts of caffeine 24/7.
  • In his April Fools Event artwork, Affogato is shown pouring coffee on wizard. Wizard is an ice cream cookie, and an Affogato is just Espresso poured on ice cream. Affogato was making an affogato, rather than the art being a nod to his antagonistic nature.
  • BTS, yes BTS, are Support Cookies with the "Safeguard" ability. Of course they would because they're musicians, not fighters.note
    • In extension to this, them having "Safeguard" also makes sense because the skill giving them that ability is called "ARMY's Wishes", after BTS's fandom ARMY. If you ask the more veteran members of the fandom why ARMY goes so hard in supporting BTS, they'd say it's because they wanted to make BTS so big, they became untouchable. In other words, ARMY's wishes made BTS bulletproof.note
  • As anyone with knowledge of plants will tell you, many types of lilies are poisonous. Take a guess which member of the ancient heroes isn't quite so saintly...
  • When Kumiho Cookie uses her skill and transforms into her Cookie form, it lowers the Defense of nearby enemies. In other words, the enemies are literally letting their guard down upon seeing how beautiful she is.
  • Many of the cookies with confirmed familial ties in this game are made of similar ingredients (except Tiger Lily). Clotted Cream and custard are rarely ever used together. Why would Clotted Cream and Elder Custard break this trend? Simple, they aren't blood related.
  • Why is Oyster Cookie so invested in maritime trade and knowledge? "A Mermaid's Tale" shows how Lord Oyster wanted to make his living as a sailor, and she's so invested in knowledge due to how Lord Oyster's tragic mistake in trusting Abalone Cookie ended up creating a monster. This also explains why she's so pissed off at Custard Cookie taking control of the Pearl Legion; Custard Cookie is simply Abalone Cookie in all but name.
  • Chili Pepper Cookie not joining in Cookie Odyssey and to the Golden Cheese Kingdom makes a lot of sense. She's a thief and she's not going to play by the rules. Stealing things just because she wants them would give a bad reputation to GingerBrave and the other heroes, which is the last thing they need if they want the Consul's help to stop Dark Enchantress Cookie and it would make it even harder to stop the White Masks who stole the Soul Jams. And due to the revelations of World 17, namely that the original Golden Cheese Kingdom is gone and is instead inside a virtual world, there's nothing for Chili Pepper that she could steal even if she tried. Moreover, given that Burnt Cheese Cookie weighs the souls of everyone who passes, he'd instantly figure out her endgame and kick her out before she even got a word in. And those shiny cheese wheels? Not only would the Cheezbirds prevent her from stealing them, but even she wouldn't want to steal a collection of Soul Jars. The 3rd Anniversary Update confirms that Chili Pepper sat out the adventure to World 17 and 18 because she would've stolen anything not nailed to the ground.
  • The Beasts' names, particularly the food aspects of them (milk, sugar, flour, salt, spices), are all rather fitting, given that they all can be base ingredients for cookies, particularly gingerbread cookies. In essence, their ingredients are the basis for all Cookie kind, fitting for the ones originally made to watch over it.
    • Additionally, having too much of any of these ingredients tends to spoil a dish, whether it be the wrong texture or a bad flavor. Rather fitting for Cookies who ultimately went bad and ruined their world until they were sealed away.

Fridge Horror

  • Who is looking after the child cookies? No parents are ever mentioned for most of them, and considering what is happening with Dark Enchantress means these children could easily be indoctrinated to the cookies of darkness or even killed with nobody to miss them.
  • Pastry finding out the St. Pastry order was a cult obviously took a toll on her mental state. Chances are she'll struggle maintaining positive relationships, trusting people and other negative effects of being a former cult member.
  • Pastry went as far as to change her name and abandon her past life for the St. Pastry order, so did the other members most likely. So what's going to be left for them when they've given up any past identity and most likely relationships?
  • The psychological abuse Dark Choco clearly suffered is something he would need serious help for. He most likely won't be able to get this help, and possibly may not be able to function properly. Not to mention the issues he would most likely have from the strawberry jam sword...
    • Thankfully, the December 2022 update reveals that Dark Choco is starting to heal from his trauma so there is hope for him yet.
  • Had Elder Custard been abusing Clotted Cream since the latter was placed in his care? Why have none of the elders tried to intervene until now? Is this stuff normal in the cookie run universe?
  • It is believed Dark Choco Cookie suffers from PTSD, one symptom is avoiding people or places relating to the trauma. If he ever returns to the Dark Cacao kingdom he probably won't be able to fully mend his relationship with his father, due to the latter's involvement.
  • As you traverse through the first part of Level 15, you can see numerous empty beds and couches. One of them is a hospital bed with an IV Drip and a space for someone to sleep. The implications that many cookies are having a Dying Dream and are boarding a train to the afterlife suddenly becomes clear.
  • Pumpkin Pie's dream in "Crunchy Dreams" reveals that her doll hosts the soul of her older sister. However, if we take Devil Cookie's reaction to it (which is to be freaking out about what's going on), it's implied that her sister isn't in it. Rather, it's an actual demon pretending to be Pumpkin Pie's sister tempting her to be free. If...whatever is inside Pompom gets out, no cookie is safe...
  • The Space Doughnut that becomes playable is labeled "Doughnut No. 325" by Dr. Evilglaze. This begs the question of what happened to the other 324 that Dr. Evilglaze dealt with.
  • House Oyster's riches depended on Lord Oyster giving up Black Pearl's Cookie for fortunes. While it is a selfish thing to do, recall that it's because of Oyster Cookie that Custard Cookie's plans to steal the Magic Candies failed, because of her influence. In the end, Lord Oyster's desperation helped save the Creme Republic from the Cookies of Darkness.
    • House Abalone is never mentioned prior to "A Mermaid's Tale", meaning that Abalone Cookie's greed completely ruined his family with his actions.
  • During Interdimensional Super Mayhem story. Without Croissant Cookie interruption, those cookies who got transfer into another world or timeline could've end up on somewhere that they would've end up being dying in a seconds due to how hostile the another timeline or world could have be. But thankfully Croissant Cookie could've just reverse the time even if there's someone died, but they could still remember what happened before that.
