Fridge / Werewolf by Night (2022)

Fridge Brilliance

  • Bordering on Fridge Horror: assuming the hunters' kills are self-reported, Jack probably wasn't lying about having 100 kills under his belt; it's the amount of people he's killed as a werewolf.
    • It’s probably the amount of monsters he’s killed, most (if not all) of which are in werewolf form. He only targets the genuinely evil monsters.
    • Jack’s kill count being so far ahead also makes more sense when the Egomaniac Hunter nature of the others is taken into account, as well as the general Awesome, but Impractical level of ceremony and trophy-taking they have. Even without the inherently unfair advantage Jack would get from being a werewolf, he’s also simply less likely to waste time or “rig” the hunt for fun.
  • The one time the scent trick worked (prior to Elsa) is more than likely Ted, given that Jack has spent so much time with him and would know Man-Thing's scent instinctively and already have positive feelings towards him.
  • In Thor: Ragnarok, Ted made a cameo as a statue on the side of the Grandmaster's palace, which he reserves for his favorite gladiators. While this doesn't explicitly explain how he ended up on Sakaar or returned to Earth, considering Ted can melt a man's head with his hands, it isn't hard to see how he ended up with such good standing in the Grandmaster's eyes.
  • While Ted's teleportation skills haven't been shown off yet, it's implied he has the power to do so, which would explain his "cameo" in Ragnarok.
  • Why does the Bloodstone family mausoleum lock from the inside? Because they're a family of monster hunters that regularly deals with the undead. Elsa even mentions a story about her Aunt Frances hoped to come back to life and her crypt has keys to get out.
