Fridge Brilliance

  • Most depictions of Alice depict her with long blonde hair and blue eyes. Here, Alice has short black hair and dark eyes. This game's depiction of Alice is in fact a lot closer to what Alice Liddell, the girl whom Lewis Carroll wrote Alice's Adventures in Wonderland for, looked like in life.
  • The Nutcracker is so far the only playable character outside of collaborations with no Grimoire class and class weapon under his name. He also doesn't have any other default class aside from Breaker, with the others being freebies from certain events. However, come his chapter in the Act of Fusion, this makes a lot more sense; since he's lying low so that Parrah and Noya don't find out what he's up to, it makes sense for him to only have free classes where everyone can get him whilst being in the Grimoire will draw attention. And even with the introduction of his Breaker Ext. class, players can still get it for free after completing the 'Senilty vs. Delusion' chapter in the Act of Elimination.
  • Dorothy's Lifeforce colour is golden-yellow but with no baby blue in sight. As they say in the original book, "follow the yellow brick road".
  • According to character designer jino, Little Match Girl's hairclip is made of phosphorus. Which is appropriate considering matches made in the 19th Century have their tips made of phosphorus (White phosphorus was eventually banned from match production because it was too toxic). Additionally, phosphorus flames are bluish-green in colour, which is close to Little Match Girl's Lifeforce colour, and in World War 2, phosphorus was the main ingredient in molotov cocktails used by specifically selected British civilians for defense. Guess what's Little Match Girl's specialty weapon as a Gunner, her debut class?
  • Red Riding Hood is depicted as someone who revels in violence and thinks that playtime involves things such as stabbing, cutting, electrocuting, burning, etc. A very common portrayal of Red Riding Hood in a Fractured Fairy Tale, especially in modern times, is Little Red Fighting Hood.
  • Little Mermaid and Hamelin's Half-Nightmare classes specializing in instruments makes a lot of sense considering both characters are heavily associated with music; Little Mermaid taking pride in her singing voice (and having to give it up as a price for a pair of legs in her story) while Hamelin's specialty is Magic Music.
  • From the description, Reality!Sleeping Beauty's illness (which she sadly succumbs to at the end of her story) is Kleine-Levin Syndrome, otherwise known as "Sleeping Beauty Syndrome". Symptoms include being constantly asleep with episodes of waking up, derealization and a lack of apathy.
  • In the Act of Authors, Snow White thinks her quest to resurrect the Grimms Brothers was botched since she summoned Henrietta Dorothea 'Dortchen' Wild instead. However, it does make sense when you remember that the Grimms were compliers of stories instead of actually creating the characters themselves, so it's natural that Snow (and possibly other characters whose best-known versions of their tales were collected by the Grimms) would end up resurrecting someone else, namely the actual creator of the story instead.
  • Completing the final chapter of the Taiwanese and Global servers results in your account being deleted. A perfect metaphor for what happens to the Library.
  • No wonder why Alice has red eyes - aside from the obvious "slaughtering dozens of sentient beings just to revive her Author", the Taiwanese and Global server's endings reveal that she's basically the equivalent of the Red King; should she wake up, Library will cease to exist. Which is what exactly ends up happening.
  • Even if Kaguya will get absolutely pissed for that, what Parrah and Noya told her in her Act of Authors chapter is indeed accurate. With The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter being the oldest monogatari in Japan, there are no credible sources as to who created her in the first place, therefore she's one of the few Characters whose Author(s) is outright unknown.
  • Carlo Collodi, Pinocchio's author, tells him in the Act of Authors that he had to write things that he didn't want either. It's true - The Adventures of Pinocchio was supposed to end with Pinocchio dead by hanging courtesy of the Cat and the Fox as comeuppance for being a naughty boy, but the public and his editor pressured him into writing more chapters.
  • With Sleeping Beauty's obsession with dreams and not wanting to wake up to reality, it's (sadly) fitting that every chapter that takes place in the real world has her meet a miserable demise.
  • Even in death, SINoALICE continues its significance. The rerun of their collaboration event in Towa Tsugai takes place 49 days after the former's End of Service; in Buddism, 49 days is the duration in which a departed soul either moves into the afterlife or is reincarnated, so in a way, SINoALICE has reincarnated into Towa Tsugai.

Fridge Logic

  • While it's understandable for characters such as Alice, Pinocchio and Dorothy to go solo as their authors are best known for their tales and theirs alone, one wonders why Characters who share the same author don't just team up and revive him (them in the case of the Grimm Brothers) together. This is especially apparent with Snow White and Rapunzel, both of whom explicitly say in their debut chapters that their aim is to revive the Grimm Brothers, as well as Little Mermaid and Little Match Girl as both of them so far are the only pair of Characters aiming to revive Hans Christen Andersen.
    • Although, since Little Match Girl intends to kill their author, Little Mermaid might not want to work with her. Even though she loves tragedies, reviving her author just to watch him die might not be the tragedy she wants.
    • Given the implied There Can Be Only One nature of the game's story, it's likely that there must literally be only one character left alive for the revival to take place. Combining this with the character's self-centered and goal oriented personalities doesn't leave much give room for collaboration. And even if they would team up, there's no guarantee the authors could grant more than one wish.

Fridge Horror

  • So, when a Character's author is revived... how would they react when they find out that their creation(s) sacrificed so many lives just for them?
  • Nutcracker reveals that Library fused with the real world 44 times prior to the events of SINoALICE. What happened then...? And how will the 45th Reality cope with the damage done once the Elimination Arc is over?
  • In Rapunzel's reality story, she's killed by a teacher in front of her clubmates because "she ruined his family". This brings up the disturbing implication that Rapunzel has possibly been sleeping with grown men and makes one wonder what the teacher did to the club members. Did he kill them also to keep them silent or threaten them into compliance?
  • The manga reveals that Alice's teacher has also been sleeping with one of her friends. Just how many students has this teacher been targeting?
  • As the ending for the Taiwanese and Global servers reveal, the entire game was all in Alice's head as she was sleeping in class. Good news: she didn't jump off the roof in reality, and will probably, with the help of friends and family, carry on living towards a hopeful future. Bad news: just what the hell has gone off in her life to make her imagine the entire inhabitants and concept of the Library in the first place?!
    • Adding on to that, its implied the characters are reflections of Alice's mental state. While characters like Pinocchio and Kaguya can represent Alice's devotion to her teacher, there's truly disturbing characters like Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and Hamelin. It makes one wonder what Alice went through to see herself in them.
    • If this ending has any connection to Act of Reality, there's a chance that Alice might be pregnant at this point on top of whatever else she's been through. While it's possible that things can still turn out okay if she remains hopeful and maintains a good support system, not to mention at least Cinderella has shown to have keen maternal instincts (although in one story Sleeping Beauty had the opposite reaction), it still questions if she'll be in the right state of mind to be a parent if she decides to keep her child(ren).
