Zoey 102 is a reunion sequel film to Zoey 101.

15 years after high school, Zoey is now a struggling TV producer for the reality show LOVE: Fully Charged. However, things change when she's asked to be the maid of honor at the wedding of her old friends Quinn and Logan. One problem: it's the same weekend as the shoot for LOVE: Fully Charged's season finale. So she hatches a plan to work that and the wedding at the same time with a fake date. What could go wrong?

Further complicating matters is her ex-boyfriend Chase, who she still has feelings for, being the best man...

The film was released on Paramount+ on July 28, 2023.

Tropes for this film include:

  • Bait-and-Switch: The film opens with what looks like Chase proposing to Zoey. It then turns out to be another guy proposing, and Zoey rejects it as it's only the second date.
  • Bad Boss: Zoey's boss Kelly.
  • Broken Ace: Zoey is struggling in both her love life and her career, a far cry from how she was at PCA.
  • Bridezilla: Logan is a male version, trying to make sure the wedding is a big spectacle. This behavior, along with learning about Zoey's work plot, causes Quinn to call off the wedding as she wanted something more intimate.
  • Call-Back:
    • Zoey has kept her dad's old car after all this time.
    • Logan and Quinn reconcile through a recreation of their love confession at prom.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: After the wedding is canceled, Zoey and Chase wish they could all just go back to high school. This gives her the idea to have a more informal wedding at the PCA's old campus.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Nicole and James didn't get mentioned once. Dana and Lola were mentioned only once, but their whereabouts are unknown. Dana, Lola and James are shown in photos but not Niccole.
  • Deconstruction: Pacific Coast Academy's Informed Attribute of having the best teachers in the country despite having teachers not licensed, a gym coach who was an Insufferable Imbecile, and another teacher who was so insanely strict a student fled to the mountains from stress and died catches up with them and the school is shut down after Dean River's embezzlement warranted an audit of how the school is run.
  • Every Man Has His Price: After Kelly calls in and tells Zoey the finale was actually a huge success to the point he wants to hire her back, she prefers to quit. However, after he promises to double her salary, she agrees to come back if he also fire Greg and let Todd onto the show.
  • Evil All Along: Stacey and Mark mistake Todd for a serial killer known as the Mailbu Murderer during the wedding, but he denies it. From the last scene, though, it seems they were right all along...
  • Happy Ending Override: The series ended with Zoey and Chase getting together and him agreeing to go with her on her Hawaiian vacation for the summer. The movie reveals Zoey actually abandoned Chase during the vacation and they broke up. Zoey later admits to Chase she left him in Hawaii because she was afraid of what would happen if things did work out, since she was used to things never working out. However, the movie does have a happy ending with Quinn and Logan marrying and Zoey and Chase reconciling and becoming a loving couple once again even Chase moving to California from Maine.
  • Jerk Ass Ball: Zoey grabs hold during her and Chase's vacation in Hawaii. Zoey was a Nice Girl in the original series who showed signs of having feelings for Chase throughout the series, even admitting she wished Chase had told her sooner about his feelings and dumping James because she realized she didn't love him and he was just her second choice because Chase left for London. Despite all this, she dropped Chase rather coldly in the interim. However, it's very apparent that Zoey regrets how their relationship ended, and has been trying to make amends with Chase -- with not much success. Thankfully, they reconcile and become a couple once again, even dancing and sharing a kiss.
  • New Old Flame: Zoey and Chase are this for each other. They eventually get back together at the end.
  • Spanner in the Works: Zoey's plan would've gone off without a hitch if Stacey and Mark hadn't accused her date of being a murderer, which got her confused and feed the wrong lines to Jordan B.
  • Sudden Sequel Heel Syndrome: Dean Rivers was a Reasonable Authority Figure in the original series. The worst thing he ever did being his defiance on his own coffee ban, which he only put in place because of a short-sighted fit of rage when his wife got hit by a coffee cart. This movie reveals that following the series finale he was arrested for embezzling money from PCA to feed his gambling addiction.
  • "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue:
    • Zoey is a single TV producer struggling to get a promotion. At the end of the movie, Zoey gets the promotion and she and Chase get back together again.
    • Chase became an elementary school teacher and has a girlfriend who he broke up with just before the wedding, which she came to anyway.
    • Logan inherited his father's fortune and is still together with Quinn, who's a successful inventor.
    • Michael is now a successful rap producer.
    • Stacey married Mark and now runs a murder podcast.
    • Pacific Coast Academy shut down after Zoey's class graduated, due to low education standards, lack of accreditation and Dean Rivers embezzling money from the school.
    • Kazu's son now runs a food truck.
    • Dustin is now married with children.
  • Wham Shot: Todd having a body in his car's trunk.
