• Sequel Gap: The original Zoey 101 ended in 2008, and this film came out in 2023, making it a 15 year long gap between productions.
• Sequel in Another Medium: This serves as a sequel to Zoey 101, taking place 15 years after the end of the original series with most of the cast returning.
• The Other Darrin: Subverted for the film, as most of the original actors (sans Paul Butcher, Kristin Herrera, Alexa Nikolas, Victoria Justice and Austin Butler) reprised their roles, with two exceptions for the dubbing.
  • Montserrat Aguilar replaced Christine Byrd in the role of Zoey, because of the latter's retirement in 2016. Aguilar has since taken over most of her predecessor's characters.
  • Moisés Iván Mora did not return to dub Mark, and he was replaced by Luis Fernando Orozco. Ironically enough, Orozco had previously dubbed him in the original series for at least his first apperances.
• What Could Have Been: According to a Pop Culture Planet interview, Victoria Justice was asked about the reason why she didn't appear in the film. She explained that scheduling conflicts with her career made it impossible for her to come back and lamented on how hard it was for her to pass on that chance.
