Arthur's Quest is a Made-for-TV Movie released in 1999.

To escape the clutches of the evil warrior and sorceress Morgana, Merlin transports young King Arthur into modern day America. When Merlin comes back ten years later to retrieve him, he finds a hip 15 year-old Arthur who does not believe Merlin, nor does he want to return to the past. Merlin must convince Arthur of his true identity, before Morgana can retrieve Excalibur and allow the Dark Forces to take over the world.

  • Death Glare: Gwen displays one as she watches Arthur leave with Principal Blackheart.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Mr. Whitney can't help but look the new Principal Blackheart up and down, and is at a loss for words when she takes Arthur out of the classroom.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Morgana practically orgasms when she sees Excalibur in the Stone at Arthur's school. She also really appreciates receiving a shoulder massage from both Slagador and Timmy.
  • Empty Piles of Clothing: Slagador and Timmy both disappear when Morgana dies, leaving behind their suits of armor.
  • Excalibur: Initially wielded by Uther.
    • Excalibur in the Stone: After traveling to the future, Merlin places the sword into the stone just outside the school.
  • Evil Plan: Morgana intends to use Excalibur to Take Over the World.
  • Evil Teacher: After doing away with the Principal of Arthur and Gwen's school, Morgana sets herself up as the new Principal to seduce Arthur into drawing Excalibur from the stone for her, but is thwarted by Gwen.
  • Evil Wears Black: Morgana's wardrobe, from her Chainmail Bikini to her Hot teacher outfit.
  • Good Hurts Evil: Morgana is destroyed when she takes hold of Excalibur, since "evil and good do not mix".
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: Having sought Excalibur throughout the movie, Morgana is destroyed when she picks up the sword due to her evil.
  • Hot Teacher: Principal Morgana Blackheart.
  • Hot for Teacher: Entering Mr. Whitney's class, Principal Blackheart announces that she's looking for a certain young man who must report directly to her office. Cue every boy in the class enthusiastically raising their hands (with one girl subtly raising hers) with the exception of Artie, who remains faithful to Gwen.
  • Instant Costume Change: Morgana changes from her Hot Teacher outfit back to her Chainmail Bikini in the blink of an eye.
  • Large Ham: Catherine Oxenberg as Morgana.
  • Mass Teleportation: Confronting Arthur amidst a mass party outside the school, Morgana uses her power to make everyone but the two of them disappear.
  • No Body Left Behind: Morgana is destroyed by the good power of Excalibur, completely vaporizing her. Slagador and Timmy also disappear with her, leaving their armor behimd.
  • Not Quite Dead: Uther is seemingly dealt a mortal blow by Morgana's sword, only to return at the end.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: As Principal Blackheart, Morgana tells Arthur that she too was abandoned as a child and raised by an adoptive mother.
  • Parental Abandonment: Morgana is revealed to have been abandoned as a child by her parents, who feared her magical powers and regarded her as a freak.
  • Self-Disposing Villain: Morgana is destroyed when she picks up Excalibur.
  • Stable Time Loop: Despite being sent forward to the 20th century, Artie is destined to go back through the portal and become the legendary King Arthur. After some hesitation at first, he does so at the end.
  • Supermodel Strut: Evil Sorceress Morgana often walks with a deliberate sashay. Even does it even she's posing as Principal Blackheart, strutting into Mr. Whitney's classroom and making him too Distracted by the Sexy to complain about her presence.
  • Sword Fight: Arthur, wielding Excalibur, engages with Morgana at the climax.
  • Take Over the World: Morgana's plan, by using Excalibur.
  • Telepathy: Slagador and Timmy communicate non-verbally with Morgana.
  • Teleportation: A magical power used by both Morgana and Merlin.
  • Time Skip: After traveling to the 20th century, Merlin leaves the young Arthur but promises to return, which he does when the movie skips ahead 10 years, when Arthur is now a teenager.
  • Too Much Information: To have a talk with Merlin, Arthur leaves his class for a long "trip to the bathroom". When he returns, he claims that he ran out of toilet paper.
    Mr. Whitney: That's more information than I need to know.
  • The Voiceless: Slagador and Timmy never talk, to the extent that they appear to communicate telepathically with Morgana.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: It is never explained exactly what happened to the crowd outside the school who Morgana made vanish. Presumably they're ok, since Mr. Whitney was amongst them earlier and he later shows up.
    • It is not revealed what happened to Trent, Caitlin's boss, and the rest of the restaurant staff after Morgana and her henchmen arrive to abduct Caitlin. Arthur finds the place abandoned and ransacked.
