In the wake of Shigaraki and All for One's escape after the Paranormal Liberation War, Deku has left UA High. Now he acts alone, trying to repair the damage All for One has done to society and trying to bring as many criminals to justice as he can. Going up against mob outfits, escaped prisoners, and a new mysterious villain targeting the Hero Schools, Deku must learn to work together with his fellow heroes if there is to be any hope of saving Japan.

- Adaptational Superpower Change: Lady Nagant's quirk now allows her to add a variety of effects to her bullets, from homing, flashbang, and even splitting bullets.
- Adaptational Backstory Change: Camie has been teased to have a dark past with the mob.
- Adaptational Badass: Nejire in canon, almost got burnt to death by Dabi. Here she went toe to toe with him and was able to force him to retreat.
- During Dabi's attack on Annaka Hospital, Both Rei and Fuyumi showcase skill with their ice quirks. With Rei using her quirk to help deku fight the Near High-End Nomu and Fuyumi attempting to fight her brother head on.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Gang Orca often acts disrespectful of Nejire and any opinions she has.
- Adaptational Ugliness: Downplayed, Nejire has a noticable burn scar on her face from Dabi attacking her back in the war.
- Age-Gap Romance: Izuku has yet to turn 17, and Rei is already a woman in her 40s.
- Amazon Chaser: Deku can't help but admire Mirko's thighs while she works.
- Archnemesis Dad: Dabi to Endeavor.
- Chick Magnet: Midoriya, definitely.
- The Commissioner Gordon: Tsukauchi is this to Deku's Batman, being the one police officer who truly trusts Deku and isn't afraid of him.
- Composite Character: A few of the characters have been stated by the author to have been written to share traits with characters from The Batman (2022).
- Deku takes some inspiration from the Dark Knight himself, being a masked vigilante feared and respected by civilians and criminals alike. They both prefer to work alone and tend to work outside the law.
- Camie shares some traits with Catwoman, being Deku's morally grey partner who has a mysterious past with a mob outfit.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Deku against Muscular, and generally any criminal he's fighting.
- Dirty Harriet: Nejire and Deku have to go undercover as prostitutes with Mandalay as their handler in order to infiltrate the headquarters of Skindancer, a villain who runs most of the arms deals and owns most of the escorts in Kijimi.
- Fastest Thing Alive: Deku states that he is currently the fastest person working on the side of the heroes.
- Genius Bruiser: Deku is one of the strongest heroes currently alive but is also a capable detective, able to notice clues that experienced detectives are unable to.
- Greek Chorus: The vestiges of the past One for All users often commentate on the different going ons of Midoriya's life, often giving him (unwanted) advice.
- Hidden Villain: The villain bombing the Hero Schools turns out to be Mustard.
- Masterof Illusion: Camie is an expert at using her illusions to confuse her enemies in combat.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: All Might, Endeavor, and Hawks are this to Deku, being older experienced figures whose advice he trusts.
- Ship Tease: Deku has this with many characters; Camie Utsushimi, Mandalay, Rei Todoroki, Lady Nagant, and Nejire. Though Nejire has been confirmed to be endgame.
