Video Game Wars is a fanfic series done in an original reality show style. The entire series is done in story format. Sixteen video game characters from different franchises go on the show in hopes of winning one million rupees. They have to compete in difficult challenges to avoid being voted off, and after that have to decide to get rid of one contestant. When the season reaches the second-to-last episode, the remaining 3-4 contestants have to compete in a final obstacle course (with three people of the first seven to be voted off) to make it into the Final Two. Once there, a jury of seven would ask the finalists questions before voting. Whoever gets the most votes wins the season.

- Season 1: Pit quit.

- Season 2: Tommy lost in the end and decided to go out with almost a bang and an expulsion.
- Season 5: Kratos was furious over mistreatment and quit to avoid killing someone and being expelled.
- Season 8: Carl was expelled for assaulting Jecht. Sam left the game to protect his daughter.
- Sole Survivor: At the end of every season, only one is crowned the winner out of a pool of sixteen that are each voted off.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness:
- In Season 3, Alex and Anora finally come to blows and try to eliminate each other after no longer needing each other as allies. In a tie, Anora goes home because she has the most votes prior to that round.
- In Season 5, Alex finds an opening to make it to the end with players who have less friends on the jury and thus ditches Whisper and Dog.
- In Season 6, Nova finds new allies in Kane and Mama and decides to let go of her old ally Adeleine in order to make room for them.
- In Season 7, Vaas does this twice in the same season to both Nicole in the beginning and Nathan later on just for the sake of doing it.
