The Princesses of Remnant
is a She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and RWBY crossover by Johnnieboy11.
The War against the Horde ended in a major Rebel Victory for those on Etheria. A year after the victory, The Best Friends Squad has set out into the wider Galaxy to discover more First Ones technology, but when one such mission goes awry, two old friends will have to make their way through a new world, with a new ancient threat looming. That and going to High School, surprisingly.
The Princesses of Remnant contains examples of:
- Ancient Astronauts: Adora and Catra's investigation of the ruins near Beacon confirms that the First Ones had a heavy presence on Remnant besides leaving the portal behind. Adora even finds what is clearly imagery of Mara, as well as other previous She-Ras.
- Birds of a Feather: Ruby and Entrapta have yet to meet, but both Adora and Catra agree that they'd get along very well.
- Brought Down to Badass: Adora's She-Ra powers are on the fritz again, but she's as skilled as ever.
- Cowboy: Adora's new outfit is patterned on one, complete with hat and a very powerful pistol.
- Cuteness Proximity: A common reaction to Catra and/or Melog.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Catra spars with Cardin. Cardin can't even land a blow on her, even though at this point she doesn't have Aura yet, while she effortlessly wears him down to exhaustion.
- Hide Your Otherness: Catra's new outfit includes a hat to hide most of her cat ears, making it look like, at least at first glance, that she's merely a cat Faunus with a tail as her animal trait, partly because she's tired of people asking her why she has so many animal traits when Faunus normally only have one animal trait each.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Teams RWBY and JNPR accidentally destroy the portal in the First Ones ruins during their Nevermore fight, stranding Adora, Catra, and Melog on Remnant.
- Power Armor: Ruby designs a light set of power armor for Catra.
- Running Gag:
- People assuming that Catra is a Faunus and wondering why she has so many traits.
- A similar one is other characters commenting on Adora and Catra's names being unusual by Remnantian standards.
- Took a Level in Badass: Catra unlocks her Aura when she and Adora are being attacked by Grimm investigating the First Ones ruins in the forest.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: People don't think much of the clearly alien Catra because they just assume that she's a cat Faunus that has more animal traits than usual for some reason. People ask her why she has extra traits enough that she gets a hat to hide her ears just so they'll stop.
- Year Inside, Hour Outside: A possible explanation floated for why Mara was present in pre-Great War Vale about 100 years ago when she died a thousand years ago, and there were no She-Ras between her and Adora.
