Striker, Verosika, and Robo-Fizz plan a heist to make it big by stealing a grimoire from a royal family in Hell.
But it's not just any royal family. The royal family; The Morningstars.
And thankfully, they have the perfect opening. There will be a gala with all of Hell's high society and they will be able to sneak in among the servants. Not only that, but the youngest Morningstar will be there: Moxxie, adopted brother of Charlie and son of Lucifer and Lilith.

The Prince and the Thief contains examples of:
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In canon, Striker possesses an unwarranted hostility to Moxxie. Here they wind up striking up a brief sexual fling, the ending implying that the two of them might pursue some sort of relationship.
- Adopt-a-Servant: Defied. While Moxxie is considered a genuine member of the Morningstar Family no different from Charlie, it's a commonly held belief by people who don't know him that he was adopted to be more of a pet than a person.
- Allohistorical Allusion:
- Striker sneaking off with Moxxie's grimoire is framed not unlike Blitzo sneaking off with Stolas's book in the Pilot, complete with Striker blowing his escape by admitting he fucked Moxxie to his (sort of) fiance Hellsa.
- Moxxie is implied to be Formerly Fat and it left him with self-esteem issues, not unlike the Running Gag where Loona would call him fat just to mess with him.
- Arranged Marriage: While it hasn't been finalized or anything, it's treated as a given that Moxxie will be paired off with Hellsa Von Eldritch, who treats Moxxie's one-night stand with Striker like it's infidelity.
- Formerly Fat: Charlie implies that Moxxie used to be a chubby kid and it has left Moxxie to be very self-conscious.
- In Spite of a Nail: While Moxxie was happily raised as Prince of the Pride Ring instead of being the miserable son of The Don in the Greed Ring, he still winds up possessing a love of firearms, even publishing a dissertation on the applications of firearms for orchestral music.
- Mugged for Disguise: Deconstructed. The trio easily knock out three servants to steal their uniforms, but they don't fit. They have to try again twice to get properly fitting ones.
- Recursive Fanfiction: The fic was inspired by Moxxie Morningstar by An_undead_gamer_45, another fanfic where Moxxie was Charlie's adopted brother. He even has the same supernatural scar on his chest.
- Shame If Something Happened: After Striker, Verosika, and Robo-Fizz pull off their heist, Charlie manages to find them no problem. While too nice to do anything herself, she does imply to them that her parents, on top of being not-so-nice, will inevitably find out that they stole their book and will reap terrible retribution upon them if they don't return it before then.
- Shipper on Deck: Charlie approves of Moxxie's infatuation for Striker and encourages him.
- Verbal Tic: Being a glitched-out robot, Robo-Fizz will often stutter before defaulting to cursing.Robo-Fizz: I wanna be a real boy-oy-oy-oy-*crzzzk*-Bitch!
- Worthless Treasure Twist: Verosika and Robo-Fizz go to all the trouble of breaking into a vault in Lucifer and Lilith's room with the intent of stealing their daily grimoire... and it's nothing but a family photo album. Ironically, Striker, who was meant to distract Moxxie, winds up finding the real grimoire in his room.
