- After the End: The first 8 chapters were set Just Before the End, but once the asteroid hits in Chapter 9, the rest of the fanfic is firmly post-apocalyptic, as, like the rest of the Earth, the ruins of both Royal Woods and Great Lakes City become a hostile wasteland.
- Angsty Surviving Twin: After Lola dies taking down the remaining members of the Wolf Gang in Chapter 30, Lana is rendered mute from the trauma.
- Apocalypse Anarchy: Once the news comes out that the asteroid will hit Earth, riots break out across the world. Many people, including Hector Casagrande, are killed in the riots. It gets even worse after the impact, as gangs of thugs and criminals pose a threat to survivors just trying to make a functional society.
- Apocalypse How: The asteroid causes a Class 4. Humans are ultimately wiped out, along with other megafauna such as elephants, rhinos, whales, hippos, and many other animals and plants.
- Bad People Abuse Animals: Diego shoots at the Loud Family’s pets to show his boss Logan means business in Chapter 14. Charles the dog ducks out of the way of the bullet aimed at him and Geo the hamster is protected by being in his hamster ball, but Cliff the cat and Walt the bird are hit and killed.
- Bury Your Gays: In Chapter 24, both Luna and Sam end up being among the many fatalities of the Battle for the Sanctuary.
- Cats Are Mean: A tiger that escapes from Great Lakes Zoo after the impact attacks Sid (she survives, but with a scar on her cheek) and later kills an injured Ronnie Anne after she has slain the people who killed her grandfather. This is justified, however, because the tiger is starving.
- Colony Drop: This fanfic involves the characters of The Loud House and The Casagrandes learning that an asteroid slightly bigger than the one that caused the Cretaceous-Paleogene mass extinction event is heading straight for Earth, and their attempts to survive after impact.
- Dark Fic: Both of the source shows are light-hearted slice-of-life cartoons. This fanfic, however, features the same characters from those shows - except now they are forced to fight for survival when a giant asteroid strikes Earth and causes a mass extinction. The story is filled with apocalyptic destruction, blood, violence, and the deaths of beloved characters, no matter how young they are.
- The Day the Dinosaurs Died: The prologue features a scene from the final days of the Mesozoic Era, with the dinosaurs blissfully unaware that the famous asteroid will soon end their reign.
- Death of a Child: Justified, as due to the apocalyptic setting, even young children aren’t safe. The deaths of Simon, Lola, Lucy, Ronnie Anne, and Lynn are solid proof of that.
- Death World: Following the impact, Earth becomes a very hostile place. Dangers include scarce resources, deadly snowstorms, and starving animals and vicious gangs.
- Distant Prologue: Very distant, as it is set just before the end-Cretaceous mass extinction 65 million years prior.
- Fake Rabies: Averted in the worst possible way with Lori after a rabid fox bites her.
- Humanity's Wake: Ultimately, a combination of fighting, environmental damage caused by the impact and its aftermath, inbreeding and disease finish off what little humans managed to survive the barrage of destruction brought by the asteroid. The epilogue, however reveals that a type of ape-like primate (most likely descended from lemurs, as they live in what was once Madagascar) is still around 50 million years after the impact, including a family that appears to bear a resemblance to the Louds…
- Just Before the End: In the last five days before impact, mass panic is spreading, shops are raided for supplies, sports events are cancelled (much to Lynn’s dismay), and riots are happening, with Hector getting stabbed and killed, along with many other deaths.
- Pater Familicide: In Chapter 34: Frida kills herself and her family with a tomahawk to spare them from suffering in the post-apocalyptic world.
- Scars Are Forever: In Chapter 22, Sid is attacked by a starving tiger that escaped from the Great Lakes Zoo, which scratches her on her cheek, leaving a permanent scar.
- Together in Death: In Chapter 24, Luna and Sam are riddled with bullets by the Wolf Gang, and die holding hands.
