• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: A complaint many have made about this fanfic is how utterly depressing it is. Things keep getting worse and worse for the Louds, Santiagos, and the other survivors, and so many beloved main characters (including Hector, Cliff, Walt, Simon, Luna, Sam, Flip, Arturo, Lola, Lucy, Frida, CJ, Carlos, Carlitos, Carlotta, Ronnie Anne, Lynn, and Lori) die tragic, futile deaths, that by the time the main fanfic ends, with Lincoln spending the rest of his life alone, never reuniting with his remaining family, out of guilt for his final interaction with Lynn before she died being a horrible argument, and with the entire human race doomed to a slow extinction, some viewers may have already given up on the story.
