Fanfic / The Ace Savvy Extended Universe

Go To

The Ace Savvy Extended Universe is a series of fanfics by DeviantArt user MarvelEarth19999, set in an alternate universe version of The Loud House, in which Lincoln's favourite superhero series, Ace Savvy, takes place in reality and Lincoln is Ace.

In the AU, the Loud family is rich and lives in a large mansion, with the McBrides living with them, and Kirby from the episode "Out on a Limo" as their butler and chauffeur. In each story, the superhero versions of the Loud children and Clyde (also known as the Full House Gang) must solve a crime and/or deal with a problem that's struck one of the team members. The series takes place during the first four seasons of The Loud House, so Lily is still in diapers and Lori hasn't gone to college yet.

It can be read here.

The series provides examples of

  • Adaptational Explanation: Lincoln's maternal grandmother's absence is explained as her having died.
  • Adaptational Skill: All of the Loud children, plus Clyde, are highly trained in martial arts and wrestling.
  • Adaptational Wealth: The Louds are now incredibly wealthy and live in a mansion.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In the show, the unnamed exterminator from "Along Came a Sister" was a bit obnoxious, referring to the Loud children as "spider huggers" and wanting to kill a spider even after hearing she was a Class Pet. In this series, he's a villain called The Exterminator who sics hoards of bugs on people.
  • Age Lift: In the original show, Ace Savvy and One-Eyed Jack are (fictional) adults. Here, they are preteens. After all, they are actually Lincoln and Clyde, who are preteens in the show.
  • Alternate Universe Fic: Instead of being a fictional comic book character, Ace Savvy is real, and instead of being two kids who read his books, Lincoln and Clyde are Ace and Jack themselves.
  • Character Catchphrase:
    • Lady Killstrike chants, "Nuba!" when she fights.
    • Ronnie Anne chants, "Adi!", then finishes on "Adios!" when she delivers her final blow.
  • Friend to Bugs: The Exterminator's shtick is that he unleashes hoards of bugs on the populace.
  • Jerkass to One: Lady Killstrike is an example of the "crueller to one" variety — she antagonises the entire Full House Gang, but despises the High Card/Lori even more than the others.
  • Kid Hero: All of the superhero characters (with the exception of Wild Card Willy) are minors; some (like the Eleven of Hearts) are teens, while others (such as the Royal Flush) are young children.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: A lot of the villains have intimidating names, such as Lady Killstrike and the Death Reaper.
  • Non-Powered Costumed Hero: This trope is slightly incorporated. With the slight exceptions of Lola/The Queen of Diamonds and Lynn/Strong Suit, who can summon diamonds, none of the other superheroes have really powerful abilities, just superhuman agility, but they still wear flashy outfits and fight crime.
  • Original Character: There are a great many characters made-up for the series, such as Death Reaper, Lady Killstrike, and the Suicide King.
  • Secret Identity: The Full House Gang keeps their real identities secret from the general public. Usually, when someone finds out about their secret, they'll end up joining the team.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The Ace Cave is a reference to the Bat Cave from Batman.
    • In "the Case of the Mysterious Gambler", Eight of Spades says, "Theatricality and deception, powerful agents to the uninitiated." These are same lines made by Ra's Al Ghul and Bane from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises.

  • Spell My Name with a "The": In addition to the canon characters such as the Night Club, some villains include the Exterminator, the Tanooki, and the Mosquito.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: With the exception of the demons seen in "Spade of Spells", the Full House Gang avoids killing the villains.
