Seacat is a She-Ra and the Princesses of Power where Catra lost her memory before the start of the canon story, and ended up as Seahawk's first mate.

Life was good for Seacat. Sure, losing your memory in a Horde attack a few years ago wasn't exactly easy, but she had rebuilt her life. She's got a name, a spot on a ship and a sort of family. But now, just when she was trying to chill in one of Sea Hawk's favorite dives, some blonde weirdo was hugging her and babbling about having thought her dead years ago.

It can also be found here on Archive of Our Own.

Seacat provides examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Adora comes across as one when Seacat and the Best Friend Team first meet. She constantly stalks Seacat through the whole voyage, trying to get "Catra" to talk to her, despite Seacat making very clear that she doesn't want anything to do with a former Horde soldier.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Because of her amnesia, "Catra" doesn't know that her name is, well, that. Sea Hawk names her Seacat, and that's the name she goes by now.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Instead of "officially" getting together in the finale, Sea Hawk and Mermista are together from the start here- though their relationship consists of "On-again-off-again" periods where they spend time apart- read, "Sea Hawk gets too annoying."
  • Amazon Chaser: Seacat apparently finds Adora's She-Ra form rather attractive, though she represses the thought, staring at her after her transformation, and seems to admire her muscles through her wet undersuit.
  • Amnesiac Dissonance: Seacat actually likes swimming, as long as she can clean her fur properly afterward, at least, while Catra hated water.
  • Cloud Cuckoolanders Minder: Seacat has the unenviable task of keeping her captain Sea Hawk somewhat in line and under control.
  • Covert Pervert: Adora apparently rather enjoyed some books that led her to believe that Seacat had a lover in each port...
  • Darker and Edgier: One story arc has Seahawk and Seacat chasing down a group of Horde soldiers turned pirates who looted a Salieneas outpost and killed everyone inside, for one.
  • Demoted Memories: After meeting Adora, Seacat has dreams of her time in the Horde. She fully remembers after Shadow Weaver starts torturing her with her magic.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Catra accidentally ending up in a group sent to attack a village and losing her memory, only to be found by Seahawk, changes a lot of things.
  • Identity Amnesia: Seacat has no conscious memory before the Horde attack that she woke up in, though she has had several dreams of her time as Catra after meeting Adora.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite the events that led to her "creation" not happening, Entrapta still makes Emily out of a Horde robot.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: Shadow Weaver tried to eliminate Catra this way so that Adora wouldn't suspect anything, trying to make it seem that she got the wrong assignment and got sent to Gullport by accident, and have her killed by the "enemy" in order to make Adora more driven and ruthless in a quest for Revenge. Fortunately for Catra/Seacat, the new bot malfunctioned.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Shadow Weaver using her magic to torture Seacat awakens her memories as Catra, including her knowledge of the Fright Zone, allowing her to escape.
  • The Nicknamer: Seacat tends to address others with nicknames, like "Blondie" for Adora.
  • Not in This for Your Revolution: Seacat makes it clear during the Prom that she's not part of the Princess Alliance, to the horror of Glimmer, Bow, and Adora. She hates the Horde and will continue to fight them for that reason, but she's just following Sea Hawk's lead for the most part.
  • One-Word Title: Only One Name of Protagonist Title.
  • I Reject Your Reality: Despite more and more evidence popping up, including dreaming of her time in the Horde with Adora, Seacat is in complete denial about the fact that she used to be Catra.
  • They Were Holding You Back: Shadow Weaver felt this way about Catra regarding Adora, and tried to eliminate her by having her "accidentally" get the wrong assignment, using a new bot to kill her and frame the Rebellion for her death so Adora would become more driven and ruthless, seeking Revenge. Instead, the robot malfunctioned and Catra just lost her memories.
  • You Are What You Hate: Seacat hates the Horde because she believes, due to her amnesia, that she was a resident of a village that the Horde destroyed, waking up during the attack on which is her first conscious memory. Thus, she is in complete denial of any evidence that she used to be Catra.
