  • The Ace:
    • Naruto is this but a bit downplayed. He excels in anything related to ways of being a shinobi except for academics, not because he is a natural prodigy but because he already knows what to do as he has already done it before and with the help of Kurama. In addition to his unorthodox fighting skills and strategies on the fly, he has Kurama acting as a second and power source and his signature techniques: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and Rasengan which is a One-hit-kill move in his arsenal. In addition to learning the Shinobi Tenshin, he was able to curb-stomp another Ace Daidouji who was more older and experienced than him singlehandedly and nothing worse for the wear. Not to mention Naruto defeated Miyabi two times, one in an entrance exam and another in a duel in which the latter is in Shinobi Mode (Not helping that she pushed a recent Berserk Button of Naruto that cause him to go Tailed Beast Mode.) that if not for Dougen interfering, Miyabi would be gravely injured or worse dead. The best part? He hasn't still recovered his full skillset and Kurama comments that his full power and memories will be fully unleashed once they synchronized their chakra together.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Imu, Miyabi, and Murasaki appear in the story before the ill-fated mission that hospitalizes Miyabi. And Naruto continues communicating with the two sisters throughout the story and checks in on Miyabi in her room after that mission.
  • Adaptational Expansion: Hinata (Senran Kagura's) is the one who more or less outright adopts Naruto and Hikage after the former tries stealing from her. And she ends up juggling taking care of the particular duo and managing a gang. This hits them hard when they end up seeing her last moments.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Haruka in the original series was a manipulator and a bit of a Jerkass, but here she has gone to have an adaptational character change thanks to Naruto influencing and getting her attention. Her love for Naruto was able to overcome some of her The Baroness tendencies rather than toying with Hibari, Haruka immediately defeated her once there is an opening and proceeds to help Mirai. She even lampshades that in another timeline probably she might be fooling around with Hibari and leaving Mirai to fend for herself. Her other interactions with Mirai appear to be kinder than in canon as well.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Naruto has a lot of this:
    • Hikage and Katsuragi - Naru
    • Haruka - Darling
    • Mirai - Naru-nii
    • Hilariously averted with Homura who comes up with "Fox Bastard" just to mess with him. This results in a chakra-enhanced flick on her forehead for her trouble.
    • Naruto calls Hikage "Hebi-chan", her nickname that he gave way back into the orphanage. Unfortunately, this nickname gave Katsuragi suspicion and later pain when she and Hikage face off in the Hanzo Academy.
  • Amnesiac Hero: Naruto is this. He was fighting Toneri on the moon on a Rescue Mission to save Hinata and stop the moon from falling on Earth. There was a huge explosion that happened during the fight which caused Naruto to lose his memories, revert back to an infant, and be sent to an unknown world. Kurama fortunately is not, so he was able to help Naruto get a glimpse of his former life and teach him some of his techniques, but he withholds some of the information, especially on what really happened to the moon as he can't afford to spiral on another depression.
  • All for Nothing: Refusing to graduate because of frustration and promise may seem noble at first glance but it hinders proper growth and experiences that can't be learned in school. Daidouji got walloped by Naruto so hard because not only he has unlimited stamina and dangerous abilities, but he also has an instinctual fighting experience honed from much more dangerous enemies that were built on from his past life in addition to his present abilities. Daidouji, meanwhile is just content on standing by in the academy or just training. While this enabled her to defeat all of the underclassmen regardless of affliation but once Naruto, who matches or exceeds her in all aspects of combat, appears, immediately gave her a very hard time. Daidouji had to resort to a Desperation Attack just to deal damage to him. Unfortunately, that only made Naruto to to take things seriously and to make matters worse, her attack is just regenerated, leaving her to be more vulnerable and thus goes down on one hit.
  • Almighty Janitor: Like in the original series Naruto again becomes this. He was able to wound Hotaru, a full-fledged rogue shinobi without proper ninja training when he is young albeit he was using Kurama's chakra due to his rage and later was able to kill him while he was just a third-year student. Another example is he was able to keep up and defeat Miyabi (an excellent third-year shinobi) with his bare hands on his entrance exam, but his most recent achievement is that he defeated Daidouji, the Hanzo's resident Ace with minimal injuries and wrecked clothing. What do you expect from the Hero of Konoha, the Fourth Ninja War, and the reincarnation of Asura?
  • Awful Truth:
    • On what really happened on the Moon Mission. Kurama already told Naruto about his past life but he withholds what happened on the Moon. It's so bad that Kurama was ready for Naruto's rage once he fully recovers his memory of that event.
    • The Shinobi system is nothing more than picking opposite sides with almost no difference in the method. Hanzo is aware of how things have spiraled down. He is quite disappointed that his name was being used for the agenda of other people. Meanwhile, Naruto is slowly being disillusioned by this truth as it affects his relationship with Hanzo and Hebijo.
  • Badass Crew: The Hebijo Elite class; with enough a variety of abilities to take on most missions, and the fact they generally look out for one another means even if one of the girls is on the ropes by an enemy, someone will back them up if possible. Yaguu learns this the hard way.
  • Bag of Spilling: The events that put him in the Senran Kagura universe have invoked this effect to a heavy degree, but he maintains some instinctual knowledge of combat and innate wisdom that others notice. Unlike most examples, Kurama (who remembers everything) points this out as he has Naruto training hard to recover as much of his old strength as possible, reteaching him various trademark Jutsus, including the Sexy No Jutsu ("It distracted a literal goddess" was Kurama's reasoning to an incredulous Naruto). At the current point of the story, he's well on his way to reversing the status as he's mixing his old skills with what this world offers.
  • Becoming the Mask: This happens to some degree with Naruto when he's in the Hanzo class to no surprise of his Hebijo classmates, putting him in a tough spot as he knows the two will come to blows. Homura and later Kurama had to call him out of it.
  • Berserk Button: Naruto hates Shinobi Barriers so much that he unconsciously released a tail on his rematch later with Miyabi when she used it. Gradually he was able to overcome this but he is still uncomfortable when it was being deployed in front of him. Insulting his Parental Substitute also pushes this button, but his greatest Berserk Button is threatening to harm Hikage and his loved ones that he is willing to kill so he can protect them, a far cry from his former self.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Naruto's trait that endeared to the girls that it changed their lives for the better (Hikage, Haruka, and Yomi) or open their hearts (Murasaki, Mirai, and Katsuragi).
  • Always a Bigger Fish: Daidouji tried to be one against Naruto. Unfortunately, Naruto is a Bigger Fish than she expected and got practically curb-stomped in their fight. Word of God has stated it won't be so easy next time.
  • Black-and-White Morality: The World of Senran Kagura runs on this. It's either you are a Good or Evil Shinobi, which doesn't sit with Naruto well who runs on a Grey-and-Grey Morality. That and seeing that there are some rotten eggs among the Good Shinobi and good people among Evil Shinobi.
  • Call-Forward: Kurama notes that if Naruto even had a fraction of skills and memory, Hotaru will be dead on the spot. Years later, when Hanzo with Naruto(whose strength on early Shippuden levels) raided Daybreak's hideout, the latter killed him rather easily.
  • Combat Pragmatist:
    • Naruto. He doesn't care about honor or 1 vs 1 battle but instead about taking down his enemies in the most efficient and faster way. Considering his skillset which involves One-Man Army and One-Hit Kill moves, he can't also apply the usual shinobi tradition of one on one battles unless it's for training or sparring. Also if someone managed to overcome his moves, he wasn't shy to use Kurama's chakra to take them down. It makes sense since he came from a world that adheres to Combat Pragmatist ideology. This attitude is a key factor in beating Daidouji.
    • Haruka surprisingly also is one. In the original series, she has the habit of playing with her enemies, but as shown in the Hanzo Raid, she can be really dangerous when she isn't. After tricking and taking down Hibari, she immediately backs up Mirai by sneaking behind Yagyu and pricking her with a sleeping medicine while the latter is distracted. She even states that she isn't also a fan of 1 vs 1 battles when something is at stake like family. The only reason that Hibari and Yagyu were alive is because Naruto asked her to spare them.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: While Naruto does win handily, Daidouji does catch Naruto by surprise, including getting in one blow that knocks Naruto across the room, forcing Naruto to take things more seriously.
  • The Conscience: Naruto proves to be this to his Hebijo classmates to some large degree, most notably Haruka.
  • Forced into Evil: Naruto and Hikage were "scouted" by Suzune from her "superiors" (implied to be Dougen). At first, Naruto is really skeptical of the idea of entering an "evil shinobi academy" but unfortunately Suzune explained that Hinata is a known gangster whose track record isn't squeaky clean, and both of them are "illiterate, undocumented orphans that have nowhere to go". While Naruto somewhat agreed to the terms (and gratitude for burying Hinata) though Suzune is really careful about how she approaches the Elite team as any idea that could cause him or his teammates harm, Naruto would run away in a heartbeat with everyone in tow.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Ohh boy where do we start?
    • First, the meeting of Hikage and Naruto. If not for this event, chances that History Repeats will happen to Naruto (a pariah and an Attention Whore) and Hikage will be the same Emotionless Girl in the canon. Each other's presence helped overcome some of their flaws like Naruto's attention-seeking tendencies and Hikage's communication problems. Naruto has a friend that he could interact with and Hikage has someone that accepts her regardless of looks and personality. Also, their stint of being Street Urchin for a year made Naruto realize that he can move more stealthily than he should for his age, a foreshadowing of his former life as a Shinobi.
    • Hinata's (Senran Kagura) presence in Naruto's life.
      • Hinata adopting Naruto happens to be the best and the worst thing(in a way) that happened to him for whole two lives. For starters, he was able to feel the love of a parent that was absent to him in his past life; which in turn gave him proper emotional growth that he lacks in his home series and one of the factors(besides Hikage and in someway Haruka) that he was not an Attention Whore and Oblivious to Love in this story. Unfortunately, this parental love introduced him to other things that didn't exist to him back then: Hate and Vengance.
      • Hinata's reputation as a gang leader affected both Hikage and Naruto in the long run. While it gave them protection and a bit of fighting skill (in Naruto's case, rediscovering), being a known gang leader with shady dealings made sure that both of them will be ostracized by the Good Shinobi base on reputation, which in turn Suzune recruiting both of them to be entered into Hebijo Academy.
      • Naruto targeting Hinata to pickpocket turns out to be for the best. It turns out Dougen was keeping tabs on him even though he ran away with Hikage from the orphanage and if she did not adopt him, Dougen will be able to get his hands on him and be used for nefarious purposes.
      • Hinata's death affected Naruto in ways that drastically changed his personality from the original. First Naruto is willing to get revenge on his mother's killer and what's surprising is he didn't feel empty upon achieving it, because back then Naruto is ready to forgive those who killed his loved ones like Pain and Obito. Second, it lessened his naivety that he doesn't automatically trust people who showed kindness and recognition to him. Third, there are some moments that make him angry and irrational when it involves his girls and Hinata, so much that he plans to kill Takeshi on the spot (a former bully and a protege of Hotaru) upon remembering that he was present on Hinata's death and was planning to harm Hikage after the battle that Kurama need to rein Naruto as he was scaring the Hanzo girls by his brutality.
    • Naruto changed the lives of the Hebijo Girls in a huge way that it caused some of them to have Adaptational Personality Changes. Also sparring with him made them more dangerous than in canon and all of them (except for Mirai) curb-stomped the Hanzo girls harder than in the original series.
      • Haruka - as stated above, Naruto befriending Haruka for a day changed her whole life. Haruka isn't as sadistic in the original series because when she was a child, Naruto played with her for a day it became the single happy memory that she held for years despite being treated as a doll by her mother and being neglected by her womanizing father. She was almost going down the same road in canon if not Naruto meeting her again on their entrance exam, and later while on their date that he promised that he will keep in her check. While it didn't change her personality totally, she is much more reliable as Haruka isn't keen on toying with her enemies for giggles but instead became more efficient so she can spend more time with Naruto.
      • Yomi - Naruto helping her with no strings attached or condescending pity is the reason why she entered Hebijo academy in the first place, though he can't still change her hate towards the upper class.
      • Homura - Naruto's taunts and Dare to Be Badass caused Homura to have reason to live and trust others again after she was betrayed, though in exchange they always insult each other when they have a chance.
      • Mirai - Her inferiority complex and paranoia vanished because Naruto genuinely wanted to be friends with her, which in turn looks up to him as a big brother figure. This has a positive effect as compared to the canon where she is hopelessly outmatched in her fight with Yagyuu, Mirai was able to fight her in a stalemate until Haruka backs her up.
  • Humiliation Conga: Miyabi. First, she was defeated by a "street rat" with nothing more than his fists in front of her father, then she had to endure the talks and gossip about how she was defeated for the rest of the day by her peers. Another is how Naruto was called and praised by Dougen while being underestimated at the same time in front of her father again. She then had enough and demanded Naruto to have a rematch, this time using her scroll to transform hoping to thoroughly defeat him and show that his victory is just a fluke. Unfortunately for her, she unknowingly pushed a newly made Berserk Button of Naruto by creating a Shinobi Barrier in front of him, turning him into an unstoppable angry juggernaut that if not for Dougen interfering between them, she would be seriously injured. Not long after that, that mission happened and brought her into a coma for almost a year. Poor girl can't catch a break.
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: Normally Naruto uses his trench knives, but when he gets serious he will sheathe his knives and turns them into Bare-Fisted Monk. Justified as his techniques require hand seals or open palms to activate and holding his weapons will prevent him from using them.
  • Irony:
    • Even in a new world, Naruto ends up taking some advice from a perverted old master ninja (Hanzo)
    • Naruto becomes more vicious and merciless towards his enemies when he experienced all kinds of love. Kurama lampshades that it's similar to Sasuke and the Uchiha clan in general whose powers and ruthlessness are great because of "love".
    • Kurama becomes the voice of reason for Naruto in moments he loses it. He will even forcibly take over Naruto's body if he succumbs to his rage to protect Hanzo girls when they attacked Daybreak's hideout.
  • The Juggernaut: When Naruto uses Kurama's chakra, it is practically impossible to stop to the point that being stabbed with a flaming sword can't even make him flinch. Hotaru can only stall him by screwing with his senses and Daidouji's final attack fizzled out when they clashed. In addition to his absurd Healing Factor, Naruto's chakra cloak also damages those who attack him head-on.
  • Magnetic Hero: Naruto is able to befriend people rather easily, sometimes extending to "babe magnet" status. In this story, he's the one responsible for Yomi joining Hebijo. And even with more resistant sorts like Imu and Homura, he manages to get them to warm up to some degree. Kurama actually lampshades it with "If he can sway enemies into becoming allies, being a magnet for women is easy"
  • Made of Iron:
    • Daidouji is one. She is the only person so far to survive the onslaught that Naruto dealt to her (to be fair he was holding back) but once Naruto stops playing around, she was easily neutralized.
    • Naruto, provided you were able to hit him. Daidouji used her Desperation Attack to deal fatal damage to him, but after flying off and destroying some walls, it just dazed and then annoyed him with Kurama commenting that it's been a long time since he flew off like that.
  • No-Sell: Miyabi managed to stab Naruto (who was getting angry by the second due to the Shinobi Barrier deployed in front of him) with her sword coated with black flames. The latter didn't even flinch and just became angrier. Curbstomping ensues.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Naruto's usage of chakra. Usually, shinobis use Yin and Yang energy to fight, but the general problem with the said energies is that their usage is really limited. Meanwhile, Naruto with his chakra-based powers made him a huge problem for his foes because he won't just go down by wrecking his Shinobi Tenshin and his flexibility in combat catches them off-guard. Also, his Rasengan destroys Shinobi Barriers with ease and goes thru Shinobi Tenshin's that it could kill someone in one hit. Also, his regeneration renders any damage to him moot.
  • Sixth Ranger Traitor: Naruto becomes this on the Hanzo girls on the Wham Episode at the same time he is the Sixth Ranger for the Hebijo team. This revelation caused a massive Despair Event Horizon on the Hanzo team.
  • Sleep-Mode Size: Kurama when accidentally summoned via a scroll in the size of a dog. He's considered quite cute and soft despite its otherwise fierce threats. While not happy, this allows it to talk to other people. Oh, and Yomi certainly thinks he is cute in this form and thus always being subjects into hugs and ribbons whenever she is in proximity with him, Haruka even uses it one time to get even with him.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Naruto's existence in the Senran Kagura universe in a nutshell. A Lightning Bruiser with One-Hit Kill and One-Man Army arsenal that can turn into The Juggernaut with an insane healing factor, not to mention his animal summon is a mythic being (a nine-tailed fox) that can supply him with more energy and a force of nature itself that Naruto can't afford to release Kurama in full strength lest he destroys the entire Hanzo academy by just appearing. His power is great in that he can rip Shinobi Barriers with his bare hands(stated to be impossible) and can go toe to toe with Shinobi Tenshin users without using one too albeit using Kurama's chakra. What's badass is he can't still use his other modes (Kurama Chakra Mode and Six Path Mode) and skillsets like Rasenshurken and Bijuudama. What's more, he was "the Last" version meaning that Naruto was in his prime in terms of power, stamina, and technique when he was sent to the Senran Kagura universe. Word of God said that there is only one person that can push Naruto into genuine combat and it is because "she can do crazy shit" and has yet to really appear in the story.
  • Tsundere: Homura towards Naruto in a platonic sense at least, though the roots lie in her first love and family basically betraying her. Naruto isn't really fooled
  • Underestimating Badassery: The problem with Naruto's opponents is that they always underestimate his strength that's why they lost. They look down on him as they assume he is just an ordinary shinobi student. What they did not know is that Naruto is an Experienced Protagonist with a Sealed Good in a Can acting as Mission Control and a power source, that even though Naruto is nerfed due to his amnesia, he is still leagues above them.
  • Your Magic's No Good Here: Averted. While Naruto has some trouble getting a hang of Shinobi tools at first due to Chakra being somewhat different than the Yin and Yang energies of the Senran Kagura world, but he works it out eventually without penalty to his purely Chakra-based jutsu and abilities.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: Dougen takes an interest in Naruto after his first outburst of power. This being said, he's pragmatic enough to order Homura to kill him if he gets in the way of their mission, figuring to deny the Good Shinobi such a powerful asset.
  • World of Buxom: Naruto lampshades this mentally a number of times throughout the story. He isn't exactly complaining though.
  • Wham Episode: The entire Hanzo Raid chapter. Not only all of the Hanzo team were curb-stomped harder than in the canon, but their ace Daidouji who was supposed to be their final line of defense was soundly defeated by Naruto who turns out to be a Deep Cover Agent despite being in the same age bracket. To add insult to their injury almost all of them were defeated offscreen and the only reason that they were alive is because Naruto asked the Hebijo team not to kill them.
