What happens when you take one Ranma Saotome and stick him at Fujimi Academy months before the zombie apocalypse?

The nail comes when Ranma discovers his father's diary while in Hong Kong, en route to Jusenkyo. Upons discovering that his mother is alive (and had divorced Genma in absentia), as well as his plans to engage him to one of Soun Tendo's daughters, Ranma leaves Genma and returns to Japan, where he reunites with Nodoka and her extended family, including his cousin, Rei Miyamoto.
Then, the zombie apocalypse kicks off, and all hell breaks loose.
This fanfic provides examples of:
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: Nodoka's katana and Saeko's Saotome Honor Blade
- Affectionate Nickname: Several. Alice calls Ranma "Ninja-nii." Ranma replies that its a lot better than Superman.
- Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Koichi Shido begs Ramna for his life when it's clear that he is to be devoured by the zombies. It doesn't work.
- An Arm and a Leg: Akane Tendo loses the former when she and Kuno have their Last Stand against the zombified Hentai Horde.
- The Atoner: Ranma begins his journey by returning stolen martial arts scrolls to their respective schools.
- Ax-Crazy: Saeko Busajima, of course.
- Badass Family: The Miyamoto family, and by extension, Ranma. Also, the Takagi family.
- Battle Couple: Ranma and Saeko.
- The Cameo: Several members of the Nerima Wrecking Crew make an appearance, only for most of them to be killed off.
- Ryoga Hibiki: Loses Ranma due to his horrible sense of direction and is never head from again.
- Nabiki Tendo: Bitten by one of her underlings and is turned into a zombie.
- Soun Tendo: Bitten by a zombified Nabiki.
- Akane Tendo: Loses an arm during a fight with the zombified Hentai Horde and is overwhelmed by their numbers.
- Tatewaki Kuno: Dies alongside Akane.
- Distracted by the Sexy: How Shido was able to seize control of his group of survivors from the Yakuza boss.
- Not Distracted by the Sexy: Shido's underlings attempts the above trope on Ranma. It doesn't work.
- Embarrassing Nickname:
- Ranma calls Shido "Shido-shit."
- Saya calls Ranma "meathead", while in turn, Ranma calls Saya "Pinky."
- For Want Of A Nail: What drives the story.
- Ranma turns his father in to the local police and mob, both in cahoots with the other, claiming that Genma was going to run out on his tab. This also spares him the trip to Jusenkyo, and his curse.
- Seeing Ranma insulting Shido and getting away with it makes Yuuki reconsider approaching the man, thus bringing her to Ranma's side when all hell breaks loose.
- In a case of Spared by the Adaptation, both Kyoko Hayashi and Asami survive to the end of the story.
- Takashi and his crew ditch the bus in order to get away from Shido and his students. This time around, Ranma boots them off of the bus.
- Gun Nut: Hirano, in top form, as always. Also Rika and her gun stash.
- Heel–Face Turn: Miku Yuuki, upon seeing Ranma insult Shido makes her reconsider going to Shido for advice.
- Hold the Line: Akane and Kuno against the zombified Hentai Horde. Later, Nodoka and Kiriko at the police station, all the while bickering as they kill the zombies. This is how both Ranma and Rei find their respective mothers.
- Karmic Death:
- Genma is bitten by a zombified boy who was around the same age Ranma was when he underwent the Nekoken training.
- Shido's undead father, as it was Rei who killed him in a form of revenge.
- Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: The survivors of Fujimi Academy, Asami, Kyoko, and Miku Yuuki, only with Ranma leading them instead of Takashi.
- Sole Survivor: Kasumi Tendo is the last of the Tendo line. Ranma, also, as he is technically, the last of the Saotome line.
- Team Mom: Nodoka Saotome and Kiriko Miyamoto
- Third-Person Person: Asami, until Kyoko tells her to knock it off.
- Too Dumb to Live: Genma attracts the attention of the zombies in the area by ranting about his "worthless son." Then he gets bitten by a zombified kid on the leg.
- The Vamp: Miku Yuuki, and she knows this. But she's with Ranma's team rather than Shido's due to her talents as a mechanic, and she thinks Ranma's hot.
- Would Hit a Girl: More like would kill a girl for Ranma.
- Wrench Wench: Miku Yuuki is quite the mechanic, which is how she earns her keep with Ranma's group, and she's damn good at her job.
