popular My Hero SCP (along with some additional inspiration from JoJo New Universe), Heroism Is Magic was written by JokerCurry as an alternate take on the story.

Heroism is Magic contains examples of:
- Adaptational Badass: Izuku unlocks most of the Quirks of One For All earlier than in canon.
- Adaptational Expansion: Class 1-A in this story consists of forty Hero Course students, instead of the twenty from canon and most BNHA fanfics.
- Adaptational Heroism: Like in the story it is based on, Himiko Toga was adopted by Vlad King and is a Hero here.
- Adaptational Wimp: The My Little Pony characters in this story are not as powerful as their pony counterparts.
- An Arm and a Leg: In order to save Izuku from Tomura at the USJ, Twilight chops off his hands at the wrists with blades of magic energy.
- Balanced Harem: It turns out the entire Mane Six is in love with Midoriya, not just Twilight, and they're not opposed to sharing him. Shigaraki gets his own, smaller harem in the form of the Dazzlings.
- Band of Brothers: Class 1-A gradually becomes this.
- Big Damn Kiss: Twilight gives one to Izuku during the Final Exam. The other five girls give him one after another following the Kamino Raid.
- Childhood Friends: Izuku and the Mane Six are this.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Izuku and Twilight became friends when they were still children after Twilight defended him from Bakugou. They ultimately become an Official Couple by the end of the Sports Festival Arc.
- Composite Character: Izuku in this story is a combination of himself and Spike from MLP canon due to being Twilight's closest friend and confidant.
- Darker and Edgier: While nowhere near as dark as BNHA canon, it is darker than the story it's based off of, My Hero SCP.
- Friendly Enemy: Izuku and Tomura are this as seen with their meeting at the mall.
- In Spite of a Nail: Despite changed circumstances, canon events such as the Kamino Incident still occur.
