Global Order of Law and Defense (usually abbreviated as G.O.L.D.) is a series of fanfics and original stories written by Tyval, featuring both his original characters, a collection of new interpretations of classic characters like the Green Hornet and Kato, and characters from various other franchises ranging from X-Men to Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Cleopatra 2525.

The Global Order of Law and Defense itself is a superhero team led by the heroes China Dragon and Questar, who protect the world from various mundane, supernatural, and alien threats. In this capacity, they often find themselves aiding or advising other heroes, sometimes even in the far future; Questor somehow survived into the 26th century and teamed up with the ladies of Cleopatra 2525.

As the original hosts for the stories are long defunct, only a handful of the G.O.L.D. stories survive, buried within the Internet Archive or less reputable spots like the Alt-Sex Stories Text Repository.

A partial list of known stories:

  • A Taste of Danger, a Touch of G.O.L.D.: In which the ladies of G.O.L.D. are attacked by the Danger Dolls, an all-girl superhero team looking for a challenge.
  • China Doll in the Temple of Light: In which China Doll, a martial-arts expert, travels to a hidden African temple to find the cure for a deadly disease.
  • Cleopatra 2525: Echo of a Hero: In which the heroines from Cleopatra 2525 must resurrect Questor to save their world.
  • Last Stand in La Jolla: In which Gen¹³ are attacked by a new weapon that kills Grunge, Burnout, and Lynch and makes some drastic alterations to Fairchild, Rainmaker, and Freefall. While mostly a Gen13 story, the B-plot features the villain being hunted down by G.O.L.D., and Blonde Bee from the Danger Dolls has a cameo.
  • Menace of the Mandarin: A What If? story in which the X-Men had a different team composition.
  • Legacy!: In which a new Green Hornet and Kato recruit other legacy heroes, while a number of famous supervillains gather to oppose them.
  • Operation Opal: In which a new heroine, Opal, teams up with G.O.L.D.
  • A Jeanie's Revenge!: In which China Doll teams up with martial artists from Street Fighter and Dead or Alive to deal with... the genie from I Dream of Jeannie.

These stories contain examples of:

  • Affirmative-Action Legacy: Legacy! featured lesbian versions of Green Hornet and Kato.
  • Author Appeal: Nearly all of the stories feature lesbians and bondage.
  • Author Filibuster: Some of the stories will suddenly halt to have a character give a rant about limousine liberals, the Clintons, or political correctness.
  • Badass Normal: Mei Wong has no superpowers, but is one of the team's best martial artists.
  • Braids, Beads and Buckskins: Native-American heroine Kestrel dresses in leather skirts and moccasins.
  • Captain Ethnic: Tyval being a creature of the seventies and eighties, expect a bit of this, most notably with China Dragon and China Doll.
  • Comic-Book Fantasy Casting: A Taste of Danger gives some descriptions of what the heroes look like; Blonde Bee supposedly looks like adult film star Blondi B, while Lady Blue supposedly looks like Mimi Miyagi and Angelique resembles Lara Parker from Dark Shadows.
  • Contagious Powers: Blonde Bee of the Danger Dolls got her insect-like powers from kissing an alien woman.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Angelique and her sister grew up in Hell, where they were raised to be sacrifices for a demon lord. She is surprisingly well-adjusted, considering.
  • Death of Personality: In Last Stand in La Jolla, Sarah Rainmaker is turned from an outspoken liberal to a politically-incorrect conservative. And this is presented as a good thing, as it enables her to act on her feelings for Fairchild and Freefall, who have both been turned into lesbians.
  • Dolled-Up Installment: Depending on your perspective, Last Stand in La Jolla is either a Gen¹³ story guest-starring G.O.L.D., or a G.O.L.D. story guest-starring Fairchild, Freefall, and Rainmaker.
  • Dumb Blonde: Blonde Bee is, as her name suggests, a blonde, and not especially bright.
  • Expy: Tara is essentially a stand-in for Namorita of the New Warriors.
  • Gay Conservative: Most of the female heroines are lesbians, but also conservatives. Last Stand in La Jolla even goes so far as to transform Sarah Rainmaker, who is a Soapbox Sadie in the comics, into a politically-incorrect conservative.
  • If It's You, It's Okay: While all of the heroines are lesbians, they all make exceptions for Questar, as he is apparently well-hung.
  • Junkie Parent: According to A Taste of Danger, Flower's parents were drug-addled hippies.
  • Porn with Plot: Each story tends to start out with a plot, throws in a few fights scenes, and then has a lot of sex.
  • Punny Name: Flower of the Danger Dolls has the real name Flower Gardner.
  • Steven Ulysses Perhero: Blonde Bee's real name is Blondie Beesworth.
  • Too Kinky to Torture: The mystic Angelique survived a childhood in Hell because she learned to enjoy the various tortures that the demons inflicted upon her.
  • Writer on Board: Tyval's conservative opinions sometimes bleed into the story, most notably with Lady Blue's backstory involving an alien dictator called "Billory Benton", Flower's backstory involving her rebelling against hippie parents, and La Stand in La Jolla literally transforming the canonically-liberal Rainmaker into a conservative (and this being presented as a good thing rather than a Death of Personality.)
