Flurry Heart's Story is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfic series written by AleximusPrime . It serves as a Fan Sequel to the television show taking place eight years after Twilight's coronation.

Bored with her life in the Crystal Empire, Flurry Heart is sent by her parents to live in Ponyville for the summer where she will learn to make new friends, have adventures, and learn about friendship just like Twilight Sparkle before her.

On June 7, 2022, a spinoff story, My Little Sister is a Dragon was created. The story takes place before and alongside the events of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Nightwatch finds a dragon egg and adopts the baby dragon named Buttercream into his family. As the two grow up they go on a series of adventures together.

Stories in this series include:

Season 1

• Journals of the Council of Friendship: A prequel to the series. Each journal entry details the lives of Twilight and her friends throughout the years following the Legion of Doom's defeat.

• Elements Assemble!: Following a disastrous royal ball, Flurry Heart is sent by her parents to live in Ponyville for a week. However her excitement is cut short when a gigantic monster starts attacking the Treehouse of Harmony.

• Cheesy as Pie: Flurry Heart visits Sugarcube Corner where she learns Cheese Sandwich plans to propose to Pinkie Pie.

• Calming of the Storm: Flurry Heart visits Rainbow Dash's family and meets her youngest son Storm Streak who is eager to prove himself to his mother.

• Villains Anonymous: Tirek returns to Equestria and surrenders himself to Princess Twilight. Twilight sentences Tirek to rehabilitation by Fluttershy and Discord. However when they discover his true reasons for surrendering, can Flurry Heart and her friends find a way to open Tirek's heart?

• Apple Family Memories: Heading to Sweet Apple Acres, Flurry meets the apple twins Apple Chip and Annie Smith. Flurry learns Annie is mourning the loss of Granny Smith and must help Annie overcome her grief.

• Dream of Alicornication: Cozy Glow has returned and now armed with the Alicorn Amulet and support from her parents seeks revenge on Princess Twilight and everypony responsible for her imprisonment. Flurry Heart must find a way to stop Cozy Glow before it's too late.

• They Can't Stay Encased in Stone Forever: A side story taking place during Elements Assemble! Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow escape from their stone prison and wonder what to do with their lives after learning eight years have passed.

• Let My Ponies Go!: While vacationing in Southern Equestria, Flurry Heart and her friends meet Somnambula, and join her in a quest to an ancient temple where she meets an "old friend".

• Tirek vs Scorpan: Flurry Heart is summoned by the cutie map to head to the Midnight Kingdom to solve a friendship problem only to find Lord Tirek attacking the kingdom intent on getting revenge on his brother Scorpan.

• Fillie Jean: Equestria's hit pop sensation Night Shade is coming to Ponyville with Flurry and Pumpkin having tickets to see his concert. But on the way there, the two meet an old friend of Applejack who reveals a dark secret about the music industry Night Shade works for.

• Go North, Young Dragon: Spike gets an unexpected visitor that has news about his real Dragon family. Spike, Flurry Heart, and her friends head Nordo Dracos to reunite Spike with his long lost family, but their family reunion takes an unexpected turn.

• Oh Mother, Where Art Thou?: A new villain called the Sorceress has caused every parent of young ponies across Equestria to disappear.

• The Perfect Storm Streak: When the annual Ponyville Fair starts, Storm Streak is excited he is finally tall enough to ride the Leviathan, but discovers a change in the rules prevents him from riding due to being too young. Upset over this, he searches for the Hourglass of Kronos, a powerful artifact that has the power to change his age and turn himself into an adult. However, using its power comes at a great cost.

• My Big Fat Pink Wedding: Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich's wedding day has arrived. However Flurry Heart can't shake the feeling something bad is about to happen. Unbeknownst to everypony Queen Chrysalis and her changelings have struck again, kidnapping and replacing several important figures with her changeling imposters. How can Flurry Heart stop her when she doesn't even know who she can trust?

• Leaving the Hive: Shortly after becoming ruler of the Changelings, King Thorax must deal with three difficult Changelings who refuse to reform and change their ways.

My Little Sister is a Dragon

• Nightmare Moon Arc: Nightwatch, a young colt finds and hatches a dragon egg and raises the dragon Buttercream as his younger sister.
• Ester Dracos Arc: Nightwatch and Buttercream come across a young dragon named Lilly and decide to travel to the land of Ester Dracos to reunite her with her family.

Flurry Heart's Story provide examples of:

• Accidental Misnaming: In "Let My Ponies Go!", Stormy doesn't get Anatankha's name right, calling her Anastasia, Anaconda and Antonia.
• Ascended Extra: Flurry Heart, Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake had minor roles in the original show due to being babies. Here they are all main characters.
• Brick Joke: In "The Perfect Storm Streak", Stormy begs Scootaloo not to tell his parents that he found a magic artifact that made him older. When Thunderhead contacts Rainbow Dash, she says that Scootaloo already let her know.
• Brought Down to Normal: Discord erases Tirek's memories of the magic draining spell to stop him from being a threat. Unfortunately this is a temporary measure as not long after Tirek reunites with his old mentor Sendak who offers to teach him the spell again.
• Call-Back: Twilight asks Flurry Heart to send her letters whenever she learns something new about friendship just like Twilight once did with Princess Celestia.
• Darker and Edgier: Dream of Alicornication is a pretty dark entry in the series compared to the rest of the stories up to that point. Whereas the other stories dealt with slice-of-life scenarios, Dream of Alicornication focuses entierly on Cozy Glow's return and corruption via the Alicorn Amulet, with Flurry Heart and the others constantly being in a battle for survival against her. It also has a much darker ending compared to the others.
• Don't Call Me "Sir": Flurry Heart doesn't like being called "Princess". She lets it slide around ponies her age, though.
• Dreaming of Things to Come: Twilight receives visions of the future through her dreams by the Spirit of Harmony.
• Earn Your Happy Ending: Oh yes. The heroes definitely earned it after the Dark Changelings nearly ruined Pinkie's wedding.
• Formerly Fit: Spike and Pinkie Pie. Downplayed with Spike who was already pudgy as a baby dragon, but Pinkie ballooned considerably since Flurry was a baby.
• Full-Name Ultimatum: Rainbow Dash uses Stormy's full name, "Storm Nimbostratus Streak", whenever he gets into trouble.
• Greater-Scope Villain: Grogar is this with him being responsible for releasing the Legion of Doom and Word of God stating Grogar is more like a force of nature hiding in the shadows.
• Given Name Reveal:
  • The sphinx that Somnambula faced is revealed to be named "Anatankha". Somnambula explains that not many ever mention Anatankha's name because they think it is bad luck.
  • In Oh Mother, Where Art Thou? it is revealed that Cozy Glow's birthname is actually "Half Note", after the identity of her real mother is revealed.
• Growing Up Sucks: In "The Perfect Storm Streak", Scootaloo tells Stormy that being grown has its disadvantages. She can't swim in the kids' pool or order kids meals at restaurants.
• Happily Married: Both Applejack and Rainbow Dash found love and started families during the interim.
• Heel–Face Turn:
  • This happens to Anatankha at the end of Let My Ponies Go! when everyone learns about her tragic backstory.
  • After an initial failed attempt in Villains Anonymous, Tirek is redeemed in Tirek vs Scorpan.
  • Sludge is redeemed when Spike saves saves him from his Rage Mode in his return in Go North, Young Dragon.
  • Cozy Glow is redeemed in Oh Mother, Where Art Thou? after reuniting with her birth mother Melody Heartsong and being cured of her Sorceress form.
• Love at First Sight: Similar to how Spike fell for Rarity, Storm Streak falls in love with Somnambula the moment he lays eyes on her.
• Malicious Misnaming: Stormy calls Anatankha "Anadorka" while taunting her.
• Never Got to Say Goodbye: Apple Chip feels this in "Apple Family Memories". Applejack, Tex and Annie Smith got to be with Granny Smith during her final hours, but Apple Chip chose to stay at home and study for a test in school.
• Precocious Crush: Storm Streak develops a crush on Somnambula in "Let My Ponies Go!" the moment he lays eyes on her, and goes out of his way to try to stay close to her and impress her.
• Really Royalty Reveal: Spike is revealed to be a child of Queen Chara and King Smite of Nordo Dracos.
• Rebellious Princess: Flurry Heart longs to be adventurous and to make new friends just like Twilight Sparkle once did. In "Elements Assemble!", she refuses to attend the Crystal Empire Magic Academy and tells off Principal Polished Hooves in front of everypony at the Crystal Empire Ball.
• The Remnant: Twilight's journal entry reveals there is a faction of Changelings that are still loyal to Queen Chrysalis. "Elements Assemble!" confirms this with General Scutellum leading the group in Chrysalis's absence.
• The Reveal:
  • The Red Beast is revealed to be a changeling called General Scutellum.
  • The Teacher Six become the new Elements of Harmony.
  • Why did Discord turn the Legion of Doom into stone in the first place? It's because he was trying to reform them. His original plan as Grogar was to betray the Trio and take Canterlot over for himself, forcing the three of them to work together with the Mane Six and have the villains have a being Good Feels Good moment and make a Heel–Face Turn in the process. Discord's suggestion of turning the Legion into stone was only meant to last ten years before Discord, Celestia and Luna would try to reform them.
  • The pendant that Tirek was given by Scorpan, which became the final key to the chest from the Tree of Harmony, is revealed to be Pendant of Restoration, with the ability to fix disorder, with Scorpan hoping Tirek would use it to fix the damage he had done one day when he redeemed himself.
• The Shadow Knows: In the image The Changelings Will Rise Again!, the silhouette of the Red Beast appears behind General Scutellum.
• Taken for Granite: This happened to Sendak with it being implied that Grogar is responsible for it.
• Title Drop: Twilight gives one at the end of her journal entry.
  Twilight Sparkle: "My story has ended. Flurry Heart's story starts now."
• Tragic Stillbirth: Nightwatch's biological sister, Twinkle Star, was said to have died before she was born. Though thankfully the family found and adopted Buttercream not long later, Twinkle's death is still remembered by them all and makes Nightwatch especially protective over his adopted little sister.
• Unto Us a Son and Daughter Are Born: In the "Journals of the Council of Friendship" prequel, Applejack becomes a mother to Apple Chip and Annie Smith.
• Wingding Eyes: Storm Streak gets hearts in his eyes when he gets a crush on Somnambula.
