- First Kiss: Naruko embarrassingly spills the tale of how she had her first kiss with Sasuke. Chapter 6, the chapter in which it is in is even appropriately titled "First Kiss".
- Happily Adopted: Naruko gets adopted by the Elric family at an early age, but, unfortunately, has to return to the Leaf to begin her ninja training a few years later.
- Love Epiphany: Naruko realizes she's in love with Sasuke when she describes her ideal boyfriend and partner to her brothers and friends in Chapter 7.
- My God, What Have I Done?: The reason why Sasuke fails to pursue a relationship with Naruko because he feels incredibly guilty for all the pain and suffering he put her through, and her prosthetic right arm and scar on her chest is a constant reminder of his "unworthiness".
- Rivalry as Courtship: Naruko and Sasuke's relationship.
- Scars Are Forever: Naruko has a burnt scar on her chest from Sasuke's chidori.
