Spacebattles forum thread and is a Fusion Fic between The DCU and Inside Job (2021).
The plot follows Reagan as she's coerced (forced actually), by The Question to aid him in uncovering the truth regarding aglets.
At three parts, the story is complete.
An Incognito Query provides examples of:
- Ambition Is Evil: This is brought up by Question when he's going over Reagan's background. Considering her lineage, skills in robotics, and overall intellect, coupled with how she seems to have been working a dead end job for over a decade, he finds her very suspicious. After all, you don't work at a dead end with that kind of resume unless it's a stepping stone in ruling the world.
- Cliffhanger: The snippets for the story end just after Season 1 of Inside Job, with Reagan calling Question to team up so they can take Rand down now that he controls Cognito Inc.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?: Discussed between Reagan and Question. While Reagan wants to work her way up to controlling Cognito Inc., Question points out that for all her intelligence and dedication over the years, she's the Ancient Conspiracy equivalent of middle management, showing that they think very little of her. Considering that Rand gets put in charge at the end and force her back into her original position, he's ultimately proven right.
- Freudian Slip: Reagan accidentally lets a few secrets regarding Cognito Inc. and her true job slip throughout the snippets, with her often immediately slapping her mouth shut a little too late.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Discussed. When Question and Reagan are driving, Reagan asks why none of the League is helping him. He comments that they don't get involved with his work, making Reagan realize that they think he's plain nuts.
- Fusion Fic: The DC Universe and it's heroes exist in the world of Inside Job, with Reagan being forced to team up with the Question for one of his cases.
- Properly Paranoid: Question may be a paranoid crackpot, but in the world of Inside Job, where almost every conspiracy is true, that paranoia is pretty damn justified.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Since Reagan is basically strong-armed by Question into helping with his case, it's this. The amount of snark and barbs they trade makes that clear.
