Amphibia: Fast as Sonic
is an Amphibia and Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), where Sonic ends up watching the Boonchuys instead of the Wachowskis, getting them and the Plantars wrapped up in a whole new mess... Is now complete with a sequel in the works.
Amphibia: Fast As Sonic contains examples of:
- Composite Character:
- The Boonchuys take the place of the Wachowski family as Sonic's main spying targets, with Anne in particular getting a lot of Tom's role.
- Mr. X takes the place of the man Robotnik talks down to upon arriving.
- Decomposite Character: The Boonchuys as a whole take on the role Tom had in the canon film, with Anne getting a lot of his interactions with Sonic and Bee getting the part about having an in-law pestering her sister to get a divorce, for example.
- Fusion Fic: Combines the Earths of Amphibia and Sonic, with Anne and her family taking the place of the Wachowskis.
- Lame Pun Reaction: When Anne does Tom's joke about how Sonic won't be the only "fun-guy" on the mushroom planet, no one is impressed.
- The Nicknamer: As in canon, Sonic has a tendency to nickname people. Anne is called (currently at least) "Frog Princess", Sasha is "Hangout Queen", Marcy is "Clumsy Brains", Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy are "Papa Wheels" and "Mama Cooker" respectively, Sprig is "Long Tongue", Hop Pop is "Geezer Toad", and Polly is "Baby Face".
- Trauma Button: Inadvertently drawing the attention of the Echidna clan and losing Longclaw really had an effect on the young Sonic, so when he's clued into Andrias, the invasion, and what happened to Sasha and Marcy, he immediately starts feeling guilty about dragging the Boonchuys and Plantars through all the trouble they're currently in because of him when they were trying to deal with that mess already. Eggman attacking the car right as this is happening doesn't help either.
