An investigation to mystical battles being waged in Paris, leads Batman to meeting Marinette, who turns out to be his biological daughter, Damian's twin. Marinette soon finds herself crossing the Atlantic to join the already massive Wayne family and goes from being an unwanted only child to one of twelve.

Featuring a massive Batfamily, Batfamily fluff, Wayne Gala Antics and an army of teenage vigilantes.

A Bat's New Bird or the Cat's New Kitten is a crossover between Batman and Miraculous Ladybug written by Madkingpriamin which Marinette is the biological daughter of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul and Damian's twin sister.


Tropes:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: Carrie uses Damian's hair Gel to give Jason a mohawk while the the older man was asleep, Jason praises his little sister's stealth skills on doing it.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Several members of the Batfamily have different hero code names.
    • Jason Todd is now Red Bat instead of Red Hood.
    • Cassandra Cain is now Black Bat instead of Orphan.
    • Tim Drake goes by Raptor instead of Red Robin.
    • Duke Thomas is called Gold Bat instead of Signal.
  • Adaptational Heroism:
    • Chloé regrets her past attempts to get Audrey to love her and strives to be a better person.
    • Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn have reformed and are making up for their past as villains.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: Here Marinette has the Black Cat miraculous while Adrien has the Ladybug miraculous.
  • Big "WHAT?!": Alya gives one when she finds out Lady Noire has moved from Paris to Gotham.
  • Banishing Ritual: One of these is part of Lex Luthor's evil plan, he hopes to banish all non humans from earth to get rid of Superman and those like him.
  • Composite Character: Chloé Bourgeois is Amaya of House Amethyst and thus becomes Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld.
  • Death by Adaptation: Jim Gordon was killed in this universe's version of The Killing Joke.
  • Decomposite Character: Jason Todd and Red Hood are two seperate individuals in the story.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: Lex Luthor thinks that the Batfamily is a large group of interchangeable agents, and that Lucius Fox is the mastermind behind the group.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: John Constantine is this to the rest of the Justice League to the point he is the last person they call when dealing with a magic problem, even though he is one of the strongest magic users alive.
  • Happily Adopted:
    • Every member of the Batfamily consider Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle to be their real parents. Though some say they are not their only real parents.
    • Averted with Chloé Bourgeois who is generally unhappy with her absent and neglectful parents.
  • Heir Club for Men: Damian believes this is why Marinette was abandoned to grow up in Paris. Ra's al Ghul only wanted a male heir from Talia and had no use for his twin sister. Downplayed when it’s revealed that Ra's had no idea of her existence and while he still prefers a male heir, he recognizes her potential.
  • I Hate Past Me: Chloé hates that she spent years as a bully, and wishes she could have spent that time as Marinette's friend rather than her enemy.
  • Lower-Deck Episode: Most of chapter four focuses on people outside of the Batfamily, including Chloé dealing with her life after Marinette left for Gotham, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy and how they are recovering from their time as villains, and Lex Luthor's plans for world domination.
  • Noodle Incident: Exactly how Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn adopted Rose Willson is never stated with the only detail given is that exploding sharks were involved.
  • Oh, My Gods!:
    • Most miraculous users tend to replace the word God with Kwami.
    • Due to Wonder Womans relationship with Batwoman most of the bat family tends to swear by the Greek panthion.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome:
    • Hawk Moth is taken down before the events of the first chapter by Batman, Wonder Woman, and Lady Noire.
    • The Wayne lawyers getting Marinette's guardianship from the Dupain-Chengs can be seen as one too.
  • Oh, Crap!: Marinette has this reaction when Supergirl goes down to a kryptonite bullet from Killshot.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Marinette is the biological daughter of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul.
  • Superman Stays Out of Gotham:
    • It's explained that Hawkmoth was using magic derived from the Peacock Miraculous to keep anyone outside of Paris from finding out about what he was doing. Marinette also adds that she has no idea how to contact any of the other heroes. Its Averted when Marinette uses a makeshift Batsignal in Paris. Batman and Wonder Woman are in Paris the very next day.
    • Mr. Mxyzptlk typically avoids messing with Gotham and the Bat Family due that being Bat-Mite’s turf.
  • Unrelated in the Adaptation: Chloé Bourgeois is revealed to have been adopted by André Bourgeois when she was an infant.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: Once Ra's Al Ghul learns of Marinette’s existence, he sends agents to observe her, believing she might have potential.
