BatCat Spectre
is a Danny Phantom and Batman crossover story. The premise is that, when looking into his family history for a school project, Danny gets the bombshell dropped on him that he's adopted. Going looking for information on his biological parents, Danny gets so desperate for answers that he actually makes a wish with Desiree, which transports him to his parents... that is, in the middle of a fight between Batman and Catwoman.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: After learning that he's adopted, Danny gets so desperate for answers that he goes to Desiree and says "I wish I knew where my parents are!" As a result, he gets flung to Gotham, where he lands in the middle of a theft by Catwoman that Batman is trying to stop, where Selina recognizes him as her son because of his birthmark.
- Crossover Relatives: Danny in this story is the biological son of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle.
- Death Faked for You: Someone made it seem like Alan was dead, then left him in a storage unit to eventually be found and later adopted by the Fentons, but as of now there's no clue as to who did it or why.
- I Know Your True Name: A theme in the story is that names have power. For instance, when Selina calls Danny by his birth name of "Alan" for the first time, he gets a weird surge of energy from his core.
- Like Parent, Like Child: Danny is dating Valerie in this story, and it's joked once or twice that he inherited his mother's thing for vigilantes.
- Something Only They Would Say: Bruce realizes that Danny really is Alan when he hums a tune that Bruce had sung to Alan as an infant, that not even Selina knew about.
