- Adaptational Jerkass: Breezepelt is a lot more argumentative than canon, but he is less villainous in favor of argumentativeness. With the exception of sabotaging his own team in the first episode, giving *BOOTSPRNG* the last safe.
- Affably Evil: Hawkfrost is depicted as such.
- Anthropomorphic Typography: Four and X from Battle for BFDI are the hosts this time.
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Tigerstar ends up distracted by a jar of cyanide right next to him, taking his victory away in a matter of minutes because he asked a Black Hole to help him.
- Back from the Dead: Several characters that are supposed to be dead or annihilated at the time note have came back for the fanfic. Probably justified because Four has the ability to bring back dead contestants.
- Continuity Nod: Redtail is $13 quadrillion dollars in debt, referencing the name of his novella.
- Crazy Jealous Guy: Ashfur is a downplayed example, naming his team after Squirrelflight despite being on a different team, just like how Bracelety is obsessed with Ice Cube.
- Denser and Wackier: Compared to canon, this definitely qualifies due to the lack of Blood and Gore as well as more slapstick-based humor.
- Insult Backfire: Hawkfrost accidentally names his team "None of Your Business" when prompted by Four.
- Non-Indicative Name: Squirrelflight is not on Team Squirrelflight.
- Parody: Of Battle For BFDI.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Conversed with Blackstar.Blackstar: "I'd rather leave this team of fools."
- Token Evil Teammate: Hawkfrost on None Of Your Business.
- Token Good Teammate: Tigerheart and Blackstar for TigerClan, a team full of jerks with the exception of these 2.
- Too Dumb to Live: Tigerclaw asks a black hole to open a jar of cyanide and nearly destroys the world as a result.
- True Companions: Inverted with TigerClan, who flat out don't get along at all, slapping each other like Coiny and Firey. Probably justified since TigerClan is a whole team of villainous jerks note
- The Unintelligible: Antpelt just speaks with the repeated "Da" syllable and Twoleg yowling.
- Unrealistic Black Hole: The Black Hole from BFDI also makes an appearance as a contestant.
