The Lightsworn-1 dossier:

    Cidolfas Silverwing

Hypothetical actor(s): N/A

The Paladin of The Light, and the first of his kind. His true past is shrouded in mystery - his human self in the 21st century had entered into a deal with an elemental god called The Light and transformed into a white-haired hulking vulpine wielding Lightsilver armaments, and was then sent 5000 years back in time into the Bronze Age, thus launching a "B" timeline where the fantastic intermingles with the scientific. His mission, to right all wrongs wherever they come up. The de facto leader of The Lightsworn Legion.

Tropes:

  • Author Avatar: An extremely idealized version, but ultimately the author in all but name, appearance and general livelihood.
  • Badass Preacher: While usually too busy to host any church services himself, actions speak louder than words, and considering what he's up against, he has no shortage of opportunities to persuade anyone with direct action.
  • Commanding Coolness: His official title is "Commander-in-Chief of The Lightsworn Legion", often shortened to "Commander" for brevity's sake.
  • Chrome Champion: The Lightsilver armor that a Lightsworn paladin wears lends them this effect, giving them the appearance of Silver Surfer from the neck down.
  • Four-Star Badass: The highest ranking, and by default the most badass.
  • Growing Muscles Sequence: The transformation into a Paladin of The Light causes this, blessing the champion-to-be with musculature exceeding the humanly possible. What's more, they can invoke the Benediction of Strength to temporarily grow other people like this, should a fight escalate and more muscle is needed, in the most literal sense.
  • Healing Factor: His regeneration ability would give the likes of Wolverine pause. Even fire and acid are only somewhat effective!
  • Healing Hands: Wouldn't be a paladin without the ability to lay on hands.
  • Implacable Man: If you REALLY piss him off, he will chase you to the ends of Hell to mete out justice.
  • Light 'em Up: Possessing literally divine powers, he is fond of smiting his enemies with them.
  • No-Sell: When pressed, his Benediction of Protection bestows, if temporarily, complete invincibility to anyone he chooses. A more literal example is when he drives his sword into the ground behind him and his shield in front of himself, called the Sentinel Stance - which makes him absolutely impossible to budge. Besides that, ailments like poisons, diseases, curses and the like, even mind control have no effect.
  • The Needless: As a demigod, he requires no rest, sustenance or even air. He can temporarily share these traits with his comrades should the situation be dire enough.
  • The Paladin: By no means the sole holder of such a title, but he is THE first Paladin of The Light, specifically. Moreover, this title comes with a rather life-changing transformation as detailed below.
  • Semi-Divine: Formerly a mortal, and now as a Paladin of The Light he is a demigod, having been granted resurrective immortality and a direct link to his patron deity which allows him to manifest divine miracles as casually as one would cast any other spell. Many other blessings have been bestowed him as well.
