Darth Wiki / Scuffle Scram Skedaddle

Go To

"They call it the cycle of crime. The idea that you, and the society you’re in, are trapped in a criminal loop. Crime, punishment, release, return to crime. People have theorized for years as to how to stop this cycle. Maybe we need a better justice system. Maybe intervention for young offenders. Maybe better support for the people most likely to commit crimes. All of these work in theory, to stop new criminals or those who get caught. ...but sometimes you need a more direct approach. One that stops the cycle of crime right in the middle. One that disposes of criminals regardless of when or if they get caught, if only a few of them. For good."

Danganronpa: Scuffle Scram Skedaddle is a Discord-based Danganronpa roleplay group, additionally inspired by Epithet Erased, featuring a cast of eighteen original characters who are all wanted criminals, evading the law, no matter what part of the world they may come from, and no matter how big or small their crimes may be. After arriving at the meeting described on their mysterious letter, in typical Danganronpa fashion, they were told to kill each other and get away with it if they want to escape the hotel they are all trapped in.

Characters:

The eighteen lucky criminals locked into the Skull Hotel that are partaking in this killing game. Most spoilers will be untagged. Per wiki policy, trope titles are never to be concealed in the list of examples. Consider yourself warned about spoilers. Proceed with caution.

    Male Criminals

Indigo Petropoulos

Skilled Mob Boss

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/indigo_petropolulos_0.png
"I'm Indigo! Indigo Petropoulos, if y'prefer the whooooole thing, haha! I'm the current head of the mob in Greece, a mob boss, if y'will."
Machete
"Indigo Petropoulos! A legend amongst us unaffiliated crime folk. Runs the Greek mob- been wanted for 15 years, and top of the EU’s ‘most wanted’ list for ten of em. Heard he messes with cops before he escapes em, but that might just be a rumour. Even so, he’s fucking formidable. Really powerful guy."

Indigo is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Gentle Giant: Despite being the tallest and most intimidating criminal of the group, he's just a big goofball that loves hugs and wants to be nice to everyone.
  • Rugged Scar: He has a very visible scar covering his right eye. He is still able to see out of that eye.

Szymon

Skilled Fashion Disaster

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/szymon.png
"People laugh and have a very good time when I'm around, yes! They really enjoy my outfits, so much. Even cops chase me down over them! That's why I'm the skilled Fashion Disaster. Haha."
Bowtie
"This dude’s called Szymon, and the man is literally a fucking crime against fashion. I don’t know shit about fashion, but dear lord. People say some of his outfits are so bad they cause nausea- something I can personally confirm, because I had to look at pictures of this guy to get info on him. Eugh."

Szymon is alive as of Chapter 1.

Mallard

Skilled Hitman

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mallard.png
"I'm valuable. I'm the best goddamn hitman the world's seen. Don't know if that can be said for everyone here."
Cassette Player
"This one’s Mallard- hitman. Apparently real easy to work with- just does as he’s told, no questions asked, and gets the job done. Found a criminal record on him, actually, but it’s mostly minor offences- I don’t think anyone’s realised what he’s actually up to. Sort of impressive.”

Mallard is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • The Stoic: He shows about as much emotion as a shower curtain, except he wields a gun.

Alexis Dionne

Skilled Casino Tycoon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alexis_dionne.png
"Oh yeah? What the hell can you do. I'm a top fuckin' casino tycoon, high ranking member of a gang. I ain't in touch with my fuckin' parents and I don't go to school. Nothin' you can help with."
Dog Tag
"There’s this guy- Alexis, or Lex. Head of the Heaven’s Gate Casino- y’know, the one in Japan? The really successful one, apparently run by the Mind’s Eye organisation? Yeah, that. One of those ‘get rid of the opposition’ kids, fucking merciless- got a bit of a track record for killing people who try to topple him. People reckon he’s a Dionne, too, so, y’know. Looooaded.”

Alexis is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Animal Lover: He was given a snake from Ouroboros, named Isaball, and he is enamored with it.

Ezra Caravan

Skilled Jaywalker

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezra_caravan.png
"Jaywalker! I've always gotten away with Jaywalking. It's a super hard job, I'll tell you!"
Hippo Doll
"Ezra Caravan, this one’s a jaywalker! Bit of a tame one, but I’m not here to question ya- kid’s got multiple arrests, so he’s frequent at what he does, regardless of what that is. Does a lotta runners, too, so it’s pretty minor shit, but damn if it ain’t a lot. Kind of impressive, in a way. Rackin’ up that many arrests from jaywalkin’.”

Ezra is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Small Name, Big Ego: Thinks he's the hottest shit being a jaywalker around a ton of insanely powerful criminals, when it's clear he's not. All the other criminals make fun of him for it.

Souma Hayashi

Skilled Money Launderer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/souma_hayashi.png
"Nice dream, though I'm not one to work out unfortunately. Unless you count taking walks. I've done some money laundering myself! Though I doubt that's usually seen as considerably dangerous compared to others."
Soundwave Necklace
"Souma Hayashi, does money laundering. Well, I say this guy- nobody knows if he really exists. Rumor has it nobody who does laundering’s got that name- so could be an alias, or a group, I dunno. What I do know is that he’s allegedly been helpin’ an organisation hide their money for years. Impressive, really."

Souma is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Eyes Always Shut: Deconstructed. Souma always keeps his eyes shut, choosing to navigate around by paying attention to sound and recognizing the others by the sound of their voices. It's unknown what his eyes look like when they're open.

Yuudai Nenosuke

Skilled Thief

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yuudai_nenosuke.png
"...As much as this bullshit meeting labeled me as a thief, hearts are the things I'd least want to steal. And does it look like I see a difference though? Both of you kill people for your own personal benefit, and it's sickening!"
Cap
"The webcomic guy! Yuudai Nenosuke. Ya said he was a thief? ‘Cause it’s really hard to find any solid crime work on this guy, all that comes up is his webcomics- head artist for a bunch of ‘em. Apparently does whole issues in a single day too, which is impressive. Biggest work is ‘Luck Of The Light’- read it when I did my research, it’s actually really good.

Yuudai is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Meaningful Name: Nenosuke can mean sleep or hibernate.
  • Ridiculous Procrastinator: As mentioned in his public biography, Yuudai has been described to finish entire webcomic issues in the span of a single day.
  • Sleepy Head: Regardless of how much sleep he could possibly be getting, Yuudai always sports tired eye bags, and constantly appears exhausted.
  • You Are What You Hate: Despite attending a criminal gathering as the Skilled Thief, Yuudai appears to harbor negative feelings to the majority of the cast for being criminals.

Big Manny/Manikyan Haque

Skilled Gem Smuggler

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/big_manny.png
"Damn right! Best gem smuggler in the world! Well, probably. I'd think that most people in the business don't want to be known, but I can confirm I'm the best around where I live!"
Opal Shades
"Big Manny! Smuggles gems- but don’t tell nobody that, ha! Man’s a notorious briber, you can’t find anything on him if you’re lookin’ in the normal places- but I ain’t normal, so I found it! They always say money talks, and evidently it’s good at shutting people up too."

Manny is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Expecting Someone Taller: Despite being called "Big Manny" his stature is only a mere 5'1, one of the shortest in the cast. It was later revealed that he is referred to like this due to how high he can jump.

    Female Criminals

Amber Dunst

Skilled Serial Killer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amber_dunst.png
"Well, aren't you a bitch! You know, people normally are ni~ce~r to serial killers! I guess you're a real special case, huh!? Fond of red too!?"
Eyepatch
"First active murderer of the list, and somehow not the last! You really got some pieces of work, here. The Phantom of Halloween, Amber Dunst- decades-old serial killer who murders one kid every Halloween. I gotta admit, I’m a sucker for some good theatrics, so it was fun to look into. She’s looking real young for her age, too, considering how long she’s been operating."

Amber is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Serial Killer: This is quite literally her profession. She goes by the name of The Phantom of Hallowen, only killing one person each Halloween.
  • Vague Age: Her age is unknown currently, but many indicators point in opposite directions. She has apparently been killing for decades, however her appearance, general disposition and inability to legally drink alcohol point towards her being younger than thought.

Callie Santiago

Skilled Romance Scammer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/callie_santiago.png
"My whole gig is getting money from lowlife losers online who think some pretty face is worth dumping all of their cash into! So, I guess, like, romance or dating scamming is another word for it."
Platforms
"Don’t let the style fool you, this lady’s cunning. Callie Santiago- scams men out of money and gifts by flirting with them, and then disappears to never be seen again. And honestly? Respectable craft. I’d do it too if I was hot enough.”

Callie is alive as of Chapter 1.

Gemma Stone

Skilled ???

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gemma_stone.png
"Everyone's unique traits have more to do with their demeanor than their crimes. Maybe for this game, our captor wanted a wide variety of types of interactions and relationships that could form between us. Almost like...a study, to see how different kinds of people would react to the same situation!"
Adventurine
"Oh, yeah, you did want Gemma Stone, right? Because this one I mostly just found files on some mineralogist from England. Definitely worth reading the whole thing, especially considering how difficult finding shit on her was, but overall just seems a normal lady- you sure you wanted this one? Wasn’t, like, a typo or summat?”

Gemma is alive as of Chapter 1.

Lady Luck

Skilled Bookmaker and Casino Operative

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lady_luck_7.png
"Charming. I might have a few questions to ask about your Grecian mob in the near future... in any case, my activities include being the host of illicit bookmaking and gambling operations in a large amount of countries"
Ace of Spades
"A lady of many nicknames, so an interesting job! Lady Luck, the House, Clover- probably been in one of her establishments before, if you gamble and do crime in any variant of measure. Spans the goddamn world, this one! She’s a fucking powerhouse- nobody quite knows what she’s worth, but estimates put it near the trillions.”

Lady Luck is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • I Have Many Names: Well known for having many pseudonyms. Goes by Lady Luck, The House, Clover, Boxcars, Kichi-sama and Ace of Spades. Apparently has many more pseudonyms that aren't known.
  • Signature Headgear: She's wearing a black hat with a red trim and a club, reminiscent of playing cards.

Lieutenant Daron Simmons

Skilled Crooked Cop

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lt_daron_simmons.png
"A crooked cop. Means i don't arrest criminals.. which makes me a criminal by association."
Badge
"Odd addition to the bunch- a fucking cop! Lieutenant Daron Simmons. Don’t know why you’ve mixed a cop in with all this, really. Though she does have an interesting track record of being a pretty shit cop! So I guess a criminal in her own right. Operates in Waterspring, which seems to be primarily criminals from arrest records and people talkin’ about it- heh, might be worth a visit!”

Daron is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Police Are Useless: The entire reason she's here for crimes is because of how bad of a cop she is. Letting criminals get away, playing Minecraft on the job, she's just not that great at being a cop.

Unko Ara

Skilled Anarchist

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unko_ara.png
"Yeah, cops are fuckin' horrible, like, universally. You're the only fuckin' exception I've seen. I pride myself on only having killed law enforcement and military. I might be an anarchist that's cause fuckin' billions of dollars in fuckin' damage, but I'd be damned if I don't have fuckin' morals."
Bible
"Unko Ara, punkest bitch I ever did see. Organised two riots in Tokyo, and another in Kyoto- that one lasted two weeks! Had weapons and everything. Seems super cool, to tell ya the truth. ‘parently never killed anyone that wasn’t police or military, so that’s cool. Stick it to the man."

Unko is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Eyepatch of Power: She sports an eyepatch on her right eye, only making her look more like the badass anarchist that she is.

Caity Scamp

Skilled Vandal

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/caity_scamp.png
"I-it’s not.. bullshit... I-I-I just didn’t want to s-say I was a, a vandal outright, b-because then you’d just... just think I broke stuff. For fun, o-or something..."
Backpack
"Caity Scamp! Notorious vandal in Singapore, nobody’d worked out it was her for ages. There were a whole bunch of false arrests, but then they finally traced it back to her. Claims the whole thing’s a string of bad fortune, but, I mean. With that many accusations? Real unlikely- but impressive either way."

Caity is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Born Unlucky: No matter where she goes, back luck seems to hit her. Whether she be tripping and falling out of nowhere, getting the short end of the stick, having her food catch fire as she cooks it, the bad luck that plagues Caity is so often that it's comical.
  • Cowardly Lion: Despite being afraid of everyone and fearful for their life in public, they still managed to get invited as a vandal, a fellow criminal.

    Nonbinary Criminals

Fulmine Baleno

Skilled Consigliere

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fulmine_baleno.png
"There is no shame in past thoughts. Hindsight is 20/20- we cannot expect to always make the best decision. That is the most important part of being a consigliere- knowing that there is never a perfect solution, and you will have to solve problems that you have inadvertently created. So a small lapse of judgement is nothing worth grief."
Pocket Watch
"Fulmine Baleno- Italian Mafia’s best adviser. Makes most of the big decisions for the Don, and practically runs the joint themselves- and the Mafia’s never been so efficient. Fresh-faced as all hell, but god, if they ain’t made a splash. Get used to the mask, by the way, it is agonisingly hard to find pictures of them without it."

Fulmine is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Cool Mask: They wear a very ghastly mask, given to them by their boss, Don Bianchi. They wear it out of respect, even if it's hard to make out facial expressions from underneath it.

Jericho Arpeggio

Skilled Serial Killer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jericho_arpeggio.png
"Call me a serial killer, 'cause I kill! SERIALLY!! No one ever really talks about the definition of serial. Everyone knows what serial killing is, but not the word serial... And what NO GOOD, BAD, TERRIBLE things have you gotten up to!?"
Katana
"Continuing the trend of young looking people who also do a bit of murdering, serial killer numero dos! Jericho Arpeggio- goes by a lotta names, but The Red Death came up the most. Hundreds of people dead to this guy. Nobody knows how they’ve done it, or how they've gotten away with it. Or why they fucking dress like that. Seriously, just looking at them makes me want to deck them. Think it’s the troll face.”

Jericho is alive as of Chapter 1.

  • Cool Mask: They wear a troll face mask that covers their mouth, reminiscent of how much they love rage comics.
  • Serial Killer: This is quite literally their profession. They label themselves The Red Death, and have hundreds of kills. They even killed their own parents.

     Mascots / NPCs

Ouroboros

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ouroboros_2.png
“Ssso many criminals are never caught. Ssso many hide behind anonymity- hidden namesss, pssseudonymsss, masssksss that can be real or metaphorical. Sssso many get to roam free, after crimesss nobody could ever forgive. Ssssso many killed, sssssso many hurt... by a perssson they can never put a face to. Ssso why put one to myssself?”
Ouroboros is a screen surrounded by many snakes. They act very snarkily and real towards everyone in the killing game, despite only being a screen.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: Ouroboros is the one holding everyone captive, and they have a clear fascination with snakes, being covered in them and speaking with a slithery snake voice. Very clearly evil as well.
  • The Nicknamer: Everyone has a token item, which he calls them by.

Tropes:

  • Body of the Week: Even more expected in a game with literal murderers apart of the cast. Every single chapter, at least one person is going to be found dead.
  • Cast of Snowflakes: As each character was designed by a different person, they each have a wildly varied design as a result; especially in outfit design.
  • Deadly Game: If you lose the game, you get offed, either by your fellow competitors or an over-the-top execution.
  • Developing Doomed Characters: Due to the nature of a killing game, and with having at least one death per chapter, it makes sense that not every OC will last to the end. So far, nobody has yet to die, as Chapter 1 has not had it's victim yet.
  • Gilded Cage: They are trapped within a very luxurious and extravagantly decorated hotel, complete with a bar, fully stocked kitchen, high quality rooms and amenities provided for them.
