Kirk Thatcher (born February 14, 1962) is an American writer, producer, director, actor, and production designer.
Having originally gotten his start working for Industrial Light & Magic in the early 1980s, since the 1990s he's been known for his work with the Jim Henson Company and The Muppets, most notably having written Muppet Treasure Island, directed The Muppets' Wizard of Oz and written and directed Muppets Haunted Mansion. He may be most famous, however, for his on-screen cameo role as the Bus Punk incapacitated by Spock in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (on which he was also an associate producer), a role he reprised (in possibly the most literal example of The Bus Came Back with a character being Put on a Bus) in Star Trek: Picard.
