"Old school, but still cool."
iteachvader

A content creator on YouTube who specializes in YouTube Poops, YTP Music Videos, and ripping soundfonts from classic video games. Previously focused on a series of The Legend of Zelda CD-i Games YTPs entitled Adventures in Hyrule, he has since moved onto Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog YTPs focusing on Doctor Robotnik.

His channel can be found here.

Iteachvader's work contains examples of the following tropes:

  • An Aesop: The "Sonic Sez" segments from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog that are aesops usually get replaced by something completely nonsensical. However, in "Robotnik Arrives Two Minutes Too Lates" Dr. Robotnik actually has some good advice regarding hygiene for us vievers!
Robotnik: If you don't take better care of your PINGAS you won't be able to get an errrection!
  • Author Appeal: Dude's quite the fan of Star Wars, if the name alone didn't tip you off.
    • He also has a strong predilection for cute characters, the most obvious example being Tails.
RyanYTP: "Also, I think ITV might have a thing for Tails. I wouldn't blame him though."
Iteachvader: "I like cute characters. To be honest, I've always liked Tails. As I've probably said before, he's like the little brother everyone wants."
  • Christmas Episode: Had a Christmas YTP that was privated for unknown reasons. Gwonam points out to Harkinian that iteachvader is Jewish, which is followed by screen of the King with a blue and white outfit, a Star of David, a Hanukkiah, and some text confirming what Gwonam was saying.
  • Happily Adopted: Zigzagged: In "Robotnik Forges Adoption Papers", Robotnik says he wants to adopt Tails, and the two regularly shift back and forth between being best friends who are father and son, and having a bitter relationship with Robotnik as a sort of abuser — depending on what's funnier at the moment. The baseline when a joke doesn't dictate otherwise seems to be a positive relationship, with the music video for "What'll It Be?" centered on Robotnik asking Tails what he would want for a present (up to and including "all of Mobius"), seemingly just out of a genuine desire to make him happy.
Robotnik: There's nothing more sacred than the bond between a man and his boy...
  • It Makes Sense in Context: On multiple occasions, vader makes jokes by simply taking scenes from the show out of context, such as the scene where Sonic speed-reads a list, and when Grounder tells Scratch is his, Grounder's, turn to be on top.
On-screen text: "This shit poops itself."
  • Related in the Adaptation: While they were completely unrelated in the source material, Tails is Robotnik's adopted son in this continuity.
  • Rhetorical Question Blunder: Happens in "Robotnik Arrives Two Minutes Too Late":
Robotnik: How many times do I have to tell you to do something useful with your spare time?
    Mimi: (crying) Twenty-seven.
27 Robotniks simultaneously: Do something useful with your spare time!
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Most of "Hedgehog Stew," "What'll It Be?" and "Skydiving!", which is unusual for a lyrical YTPMV.
  • Running Gag:
    • Robotnik's steadily increasing obsession with mice which are all found in this.
    • Also, Tails being Robotnik's son from "Robotnik Forges Adoption Papers" onwards.
    • Using "foof" as an all-purpose insult.
    • Robotnik popping up in random places and saying "Where am I?"
    • Ace Attorney references are also quite common.
  • Schizo Tech: X-Wings, TVs, laptops, and iPhones in a pre-Industrial kingdom, anyone?
  • Shout-Out: Harkinian is Finally Censored has one to Painis Cupcake and physically_unstable_merasmus_and_his_wacky_roomates.cornflakes, of all things.
  • Sliding Scale of Continuity: Being a YTP, anything that happens isn't meant to be cohesive and is purely meant for comedic effect. And yet, the almost sole through line for every episode is that Tails is Robotnik's adopted son.
  • Space Whale Aesop: Played for Laughs in "Robotnik Arrives Two Minutes Late," where Sonic tells the viewers to never smell water, because "it can fuck up your life." Later in the Poop, Robotnik smells something, only to quickly realize that he just smelled water, causing the planet to explode.
  • Speaking Simlish: Hyrulese, which has Link, Harkinian, Gwonam and Ganon speaking in the titular fictional language that was created from in-game dialogue. It has several loan-words and phrases, such as "alright"; "your majesty"; "get out"; "no" and "Doofenshmirtz". Zelda doesn't speak it and demands Harkinian to speak English.
    • Vader has left it up to the viewers to give their own interpretations instead of providing an official Hyrulese-to-English translation.
  • Truck Driver's Gear Change: "Hedgehog Stew", "Getaway Submarine" and "What'll It Be?" all end with a key change.
  • Tsundere: Zelda in Mood Swings. Unlike most examples, however, she has no pretensions about being in love with Link.
  • Who's on First?: In "Return of Meen".
    Gwonam: Link, that was Meen.
Link: My bad, I'll go apologize.
Gwonam: No, Link. I meant I.M Meen.
    Link: Then you're a dick.
    Gwonam: Oh for Christ's sake!
