Samurai Squirrel is a Samurai Comic Book by Kelley Jarvis.

The comic follows Nato-San, an anthropomorphic squirrel in feudal Japan who makes a living as a wandering samurai alongside his brother, Malak-qui. One day, the two are attacked by a group of ninjas. They manage to fight them off, but Malak-qui is mortally wounded and dies in front of Nato-san. Nato-san vows he will avenge his brother's death, and begins his quest. Of course, in his quest, he runs afoul of an evil Emperor named Mordak.

The series was published by Spotlight Comics in 1986.

  • Giant Spider: Nato-san takes on several giant spiders in their own lair to save a baby bird. The biggest of them is their leader, Silverback.

  • Oh, No... Not Again!: Nato-san said this word-for-word in issue one when he sees Malak-qui being held down by a ninja.
  • Samurai: Nato-san, naturally.
  • World of Funny Animals: The world is populated by these, both anthropomorphic and non.
  • You Have Failed Me: When a surviving ninja informs Mordak that they failed in their mission, and that Nato-san has the medallion, Mordak's response is to have his wizard, Chaing, burn his body to a crisp.
