The Siblings
Jim von Barth
The youngest brother of the three siblings. His animal form is a wolf.
- My Sister Is Off-Limits: Noticing that Anya and Charming seem to be getting close, he warns Charming not to hurt her... or else. Given that Anya is confirmed by Word of God to be lesbian while Charming seems to still be grieving his Lost Lenore, he probably has nothing to worry about, at least romantically.
Frey
The youngest sister of the three siblings. She is intersex.
- Body Horror: She's lost half of her left ear and most of her left pinky, and has visible scars on her eyebrow, neck, and midriff. In a Darker and Edgier alternative telling, her right arm was torn off by a bear trap.
- Daddy Issues: She was present when her father killed her mother, and it's messed her up ever since. Isaia and Terren still don't know what exactly happen, since she refuses to talk about it.
- Hidden Depths: According to Word of God, she would've excelled at school if she had been given the chance to attend it, and she also would have been into more feminine stuff like dresses and jewelry if she had lived in better living conditions.
- Precocious Crush: She had a crush on Sebastian and Charlie.
- Pronoun Trouble: Doesn't care if they're referred to by she/her or he/him.
Anya von Barth
The middle child and the only sister of the three siblings. Due to the dangers of her animal form in regular circumstances, she cannot transform as often as anyone else. She transforms into a lioness, just like her mother.
- Children Are Innocent: As a young child, she jumped onto the chandelier despite Sinbad warning her not to, which fell and consumed the house in a large fire.
- His Name Really Is "Barkeep": Her name really is Anya, which is not short for Anastasia. She introduces herself to Pocahontas as "Anya von Barth".
- It's All My Fault: She hates herself for setting the house on fire and getting their mom killed.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Playing on the chandelier leads to the house getting destroyed in a fire and killing their mother, leaving the trio with nothing to turn to but the streets.
- The Reveal: It turns out in the second episode that her animal form is a lioness, but rather than being at risk of "dying on land" as Sinbad claimed, she is triggered when she transforms.
- Trigger: After she accidentally set the house ablaze while playing in her animal form, she can no longer transform into animal form without remembering the fire and what it caused.
Isaia
The middle child and the eldest sister of the three siblings.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Unlike Anya, Isaia is a lot more vulgar.
Sinbad von Barth
The eldest brother of the three siblings. His animal form is a golden stallion.
- Graceful Loser: Gives up on flirting with Esmeralda after it turns out she was just toying with him to surprise him with the fact that she's already girlfriends with Jasmine as well as doing it to mess around with Jasmine. He finds the joke Actually Pretty Funny, is happy for them, then jokes to Garrett that You Didn't See That.
Terren
The eldest brother of the three siblings. His animal form is a black stallion.
- Really Gets Around: As you might see below, he has a lot of exes.
- The Stoic: Compared to Sinbad, he's a lot more respectful and quiet, and he can be this at times.
Royalty of Nodas
Charming Greenwood
A mysterious noble. His animal form is a stag.
- Ambiguous Situation: He may have killed Belle and John, but the strange circumstances surrounding it suggest that it wasn't entirely because he snapped or did it out of drunken stupor. Pocahontas privately voiced that she wished she could do something to remove her brothers' burden onto her own, and when he awakens after their murder (which he remembers nothing of), the moon is red. A vision in a previous episode also had mysterious green magic surrounding him.
- Dark and Troubled Past
- Innocently Insensitive: Shortly after meeting the trio and learning of their impoverished background, he asks why don't they just go to school or have a family to depend on. Being raised as a royal, he isn't aware that it isn't that simple.
- Naïve Newcomer: He's Innocently Insensitive, and it's implied that he would've been an easy target by forest-dwellers like Rose and Dimitri.
- Nice Guy
Jeremiah Greenwood
A mysterious noble. His animal form is a stag.
- Ambiguously Evil: According to Word of God, in numerous alternate tellings, he would be evil. So what exactly is going on with him in the main version is currently unknown.
Tulio
A sociopath that serves the same master as Phoebus. His animal form is a crow.
- Feathered Fiend: Transforms into a crow.
- Oh, Crap!: When he recognizes Pocahontas's guest as Anya, who had accompanied Charming along with her two brothers.
- Would Hurt a Child: Encourages Phoebus when he confronts Jim and is about to kill him.
Julian
- Ambiguously Brown: He appears to be of Indian or Middle Eastern descent.
Phoebus
A knight that serves the same master as Tulio. His animal form is a lion.
- Fantastic Caste System: Calls Anya "filth" when she attacks him.
- Knight Templar
- Not So Above It All:
- Exclaims "Gross!" when Girl Squirrel bites his finger.
- Blushes and looks away while Charming and John argue in another room, with the former bringing up how the latter is "screwing" Phoebus... who is standing outside the door with Cinderella.
- The Unfettered: Killed Cinderella, one of the castle maids, despite probably knowing her for a while, per Pocahontas's orders.
- Would Hurt a Child: Attacks Jim, accusing him of knowing where Charming is and preparing to kill him when he claims otherwise.
"Pocahontas" Greenwood
The superior of Tulio and Phoebus. She is Pocahontas, the half-sister of Charming and John.
- Action Girl: Implied. Her siblings are seen practicing swordfighting and it's been confirmed that her animated counterpart, Celine, is the same.
- Ambiguously Evil: Her henchmen seem to be sociopaths and have no problem committing questionable deeds (and some like Julio, clearly enjoy it) and she's aware of it yet does nothing to stop them. She also wants her own brother dead because he killed their brother.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones:
- She seems to respect Tulio enough as a colleague.
- She genuinely loves Charming and John. Or, well, she did, until the former killed the latter. But before that, she wanted to take the reins of leading the kingdom for her own after Charming showed refusal to take up the mantle, wanting her brothers to be free from that burden.
- Foil: To Anya. Both are sisters to two brothers and arguably the responsible sibling to their foolishness, yet would do anything for their family and thus let themselves be burdened. On the other hand, Pocahontas is willing to kill her own brother(s?) for their sake and the kingdom's sake, while Anya only has to worry about her family and herself and is probably the one with the most problems.
- Knight Templar Big Brother
- Pay Evil unto Evil: Wants her own brother dead because he killed their brother, even though she doesn't have to do that.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Well... she's rather helpful to Anya, letting her stay at the shelter and treating her as a guest after she washes up on Nodas, even ordering her men to find her brothers despite the fact that it would take away from the effort on searching for Charming. On the other hand, she wants her brother dead because he supposedly killed their other brother, despite having little evidence besides Cinderella telling him to run away.
- The Stoic
Celine Greenwood
Like Charming and John, her animal form is a deer.
- Action Girl: She is skilled in swordsmanship, specifically fencing.
Belle
Charming's fiancee. She seems to be in a state of danger.
- Lost Lenore: She seems to be one. It turns out she's been dead for a while.
Laura-Louise
Jeremiah's fiancée. She is deaf.
Cinderella
A maid.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: She says that she'll do anything for Lord Charming. Pocahontas has her die for him.
- Heroic Sacrifice: She stays behind while helping Charming flee. This comes at the cost of her life.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Maybe. If Pocahontas and her men really are evil (no matter if they set up John and Belle's murders), then she has a reason to believe that they would've killed Charming without investigation. On the other hand, if Pocahontas was willing to listen, then Cinderella helping Charming escape makes it look like they conspired to kill John and Belle together and Pocahontas doesn't have reason to believe otherwise.
- Off with His Head!: Pocahontas has Phoebus cut her head off after she helps Charming flee the palace.
- Undying Loyalty: To Charming. It literally is "undying."
- Unrequited Love: According to Word of God, she loves Charming, but since he was already with Belle, he didn't see his relationship with Cinderella as much beyond being good friends.
Haleigh
A maid with albinism.
Filipa
A steed for the Greenwood family and a friend of Charlie.
- The Pollyanna: She is described as a "big ray of sunshine".
- Trademark Favorite Food: Tofu.
Forest-Dwellers
Briar Rose
- Affably Evil: She looks kind and lovely, but she won't hesitate to rob you. That said, she doesn't seem to be faking her demeanor.
Girl Squirrel/"Ariel"
A Swedish-speaking squirrel that has a taking towards Jim.
- Nice Girl: Despite hanging around with the likes of Rose and Dimitri, she genuinely does seem to be a nice girl with no ill will.
- The Reveal: When Jim is in danger of falling overboard on the ship, she transforms into her human form — Ariel — to save him.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Jim, Sinbad, and Charming parted ways with the pirate crew to search for Anya after she fell overboard, but Girl Squirrel does not accompany them. According to Word of God, she's with the crew, whose fates are also unknown.
Miche
A girl who can transform into a squirrel. She lives in the forest with her family, who also prefer to live as squirrels.
Mulan, "Silver Wings"
A forest-dweller. An old friend of Esmeralda, she is well-known in the local forest community for knowing the way to the ocean, leading to our quartet of heroes seeking her out.
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Everyone calls her "Silver Wings", but her real name is Mulan.
- Evil Smells Bad: She tells Charming that his aura "reeks of sin".
Esmeralda's crew
Esmeralda
The captain of a ship crew.
- Everybody Has Standards: When it seems that Charming is a criminal, she's outraged, not wanting to help someone who might've done something reprehensible and threatens to throw him overboard.
Leah
Her animal form is a golden eagle.
Jasmine
A member of Esmeralda's crew. Her animal form is a hummingbird.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Esmeralda, her lover, likes to rile her up. When Sinbad flirts with Esmeralda, he pulls out the final straw by calling Jasmine, "[Esmeralda's] friend", leading to her transforming back to human form and passionately kissing her lover while he watches.
Mineral
Her animal form is a saw whet owl.
Others
"Sarah"
The mother of the trio. She passed away before the events of the story.
- Deceased Parents Are the Best: She's dead, but fondly remembered by her children.
- Good Parents: She loved her children dearly and cared for them the best she could.
- Nice Girl: She was a kind woman who loved her family and did her best to raise her children on her own.
Lina
Sinbad's love interest.
Charlie
Terren's love interest and future wife in the series. Her animal form is a corgi.
- Original Character: She was a character for the webseries made by a friend, but TheNamelessFan liked her so much that she brought her in. TheNamelessFan later decided to make Lina her animash equivalent.
Beatrice
A mob boss and one of Terren's ex's.
- Token Minority: Inverted. Out of eight of Terren's exes, she's the only one with a straight orientation while the rest are LGBT+.
- Would Hurt a Child: She's responsible for tearing off Frey's arm with a bear trap in a Darker and Edgier telling, as a "punishment" to Terren.
Sozette "Soso"
One of Terren's ex's. Their animal form is a capybara.
- Nice Guy
- Pronoun Trouble: They go by they/them pronouns, but won't mind if they're referred to as she/her or he/him.
Elizah
One of Terren's ex's.
Sebastian
One of Terren's ex's.
Antonio
One of Terren's ex's.
Theresa
One of Terren's ex's.
Oscar
One of Terren's ex's.
