    Cú Chulainn (Prototype)

The (Prototype) Hound of Culann

'''Servant, Lancer. I hail from the land of Ulster. I once went by the name of Setanta, but I’d prefer to just go by Cu Chulainn now. Nice to meet you.

The Child of Light with the blood of the sun god Lugh, his alias is Hound of Culann. He is almost the same as the Lancer with an identical true name but he's more youthful than his counterpart. He doesn't talk about which is better between justice and villainy, but he prefers justice as he's not mature enough to understand things like the world's unreasonableness and the equal value of good and evil.

He is also a beastmaster and his compatibility with dogs is excellent.

  • Alternate Universe: The version of Cú Chulainn from Fate/Prototype. This is discussed once his canon Lancer and Caster selves meet him.

    Elisabeth Báthory

Countess of Blood

"And that was just a taste of what I've got! So, managers, what did you think?"

The Countess of Blood and the most infamous female serial killer in European history. In life, Elisabeth was a noblewoman who tortured and murdered hundreds of young women and bathed in their blood under the belief it would grant her eternal youth. A haughty and immature young girl who wishes to be loved forevermore and is willing to do whatever it takes: it's no surprise that after being summoned as a Heroic Spirit, she began to dream of becoming the ultimate Idol Singer.

——

  • Affably Evil: She's still into torturing both her enemies and friends (if she didn't, she says she'd be a hypocrite), but with so many other Servants to keep her backstabbing serial killer tendencies in check, her underlying pleasantness manages to shine forth more often than not.
  • Ambiguous Innocence: In her original backstory, she's like a little girl who dreams of happy fantasy romance, but she's also an insane butcher because she doesn't truly understand the pain of others at all. For her, being a noble means the people exist for her benefit and she can do whatever she pleases to them. To do anything else would be failing her duty! This element is somewhat toned down in F/GO, because she remembers her experiences in the Moon Cell, but shades of it still crop up (particularly when anyone gets in the way of her performances).
  • Animal Motifs: Dragons. She positively compares herself to a dragon, but other characters are quick to diminish it into an association with lizards. In life, her family crest had a dragon on it and there were rumors that she had dragon's blood.
  • Attention Whore: Her obsession with idol life is because of this. After being outed as the serial killer bathed in her victims' blood, Elisabeth Báthory was house-arrested in her castle. Her windows were sealed because she was always wailing non-stop for the attention of her wardens and she died of loneliness.

    Leonidas I

King of Flames

"Servant, Lancer! I am Leonidas, King of Sparta! Awaiting your orders, Master!"

King of Sparta, a city-state on the Peloponnese peninsula in what is now southern Greece known for its strict, compulsory military training regimen for able-bodied males since childhood. He is best known for his last stand at the coastal pass of Thermopylae north of Athens, where he led three hundred of his compatriots to delay the 100,000-strong Persian army. Though a strategic defeat, his sacrifice bought the rest of the Greek armies enough time to mount a counterattack.

He appears in Septem as an antagonist before becoming one of Izuku's mentors.

  • Badass Army: Thermopylae Enomotia allows him to summon the spirits of the three hundred Spartans he led to their famous Last Stand against the Persians.
  • Determinator: His gimmick. As he is famous for his legendary Last Stand, his entire skill set is based around fighting losing battles. His Personal Skill, Pride of the Rearguard, makes him more and more powerful the direr the situation is, and his Noble Phantasm is also based on holding the line rather than actually attacking.

    Musashibou Benkei

Oniwaka, the Warrior Monk

"Servant, Lancer. I am Musashibou Benkei. At your request, I have incarnated here to serve as your retainer."

A famous warrior-monk who once dueled and disarmed swordsmen from his post in Gojou Bridge in Kyoto, only to lose his 1,000th duel with the samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune, after which he became her loyal companion. Together they feature in some of the most beloved pieces of literature in Japan, most notably the Gikeiki and The Tale Of The Heike.

This Heroic Spirit is actually a completely different individual named Hitachibou Kaison, whose existence has little evidence. He served Yoshitsune like Benkei did, but, in cowardice, abandoned the two during the battle at Koromogawa no Tate. Feeling guilty for what he did, he took the identity of Benkei for the remainder of his life to spread the legacy of Benkei's heroism and loyalty.

He appears in Fuyuki as an antagonist before becoming part of Chaldea.

  • Undying Loyalty: While he would serve any master loyally, he finds himself fond of Izuku for knowing him as the hero of the Genpei War.

    Romulus
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fgo_romulus_1.png
The Crimson Founding Deity of Rome

"I am...Roma."

The legendary founder of Rome, said to be the son of Mars/Ares, god of war, and Silvia, a mortal princess, and raised among wolves. Gifted with superhuman prowess since birth, he embodied himself in the city (and empire) he built and is the patron god of all the successive rulers of Rome.

He appears as one of the main antagonists in Septem.

  • Awesomeness Is a Force: As the divine ancestor of all Roman Emperors, he has a certain grip on them that makes them grovel to him. When Nero first gazes at him, she - whose ego was quite infamous, was cowed by the sheer imposing aura he's always exuding.
  • The Berserker: Being the son of a war god afflicted him and his brother with superb physical abilities and truly frightening tempers.
  • Cool Crown: Might also be a helmet.
