  • Debt Detester:
Woo-won: Being indebted to someone always made me feel pitiful. Their kind words and actions burdened me, exposing my insignificance. The ensuing embarrassment developed into self-hatred. Hating this feeling, I wanted to do everything on my own... When I can hardly stand alone.
  • The Dutiful Son: To his mom, working non-stop in different jobs to pay off their family's debt so that she doesn't have to work and can focus on her health.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Seo-an enjoys getting him flustered from teasing Woo-won, laying his head on his lap and asking Woo-won to help him get dressed.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: His father tore apart their family and himself due to his greed, making bad investments from wanting to become rich and saddling his wife and son with a huge gambling debt. This led Woo-won to work tirelessly for his mom's well-being and hate being indebted to others.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: Woo-won becomes this to Seo-an over time, with Seo-an's doctor suggesting he interact more to help with his anxiety. Woo-won being this is what convinces him to live with Seo-an, going on walks with him to help overcome his social anxiety. When he has a panic attack, Woo-won calms him down.
Seo-an (blushing): Can't believe seeing Woo-won's face was all it took to make me feel at ease.
  • Momma's Boy: He's very close to his mom, working hard to pay off the remainder of his father's debt so that she can take care of herself and not telling her about getting swindled by a real estate scam until he finds another place to stay so she won't worry.
  • Nice Guy: Very kind, going out of his way to help others whenever he can. His gentleness and generosity is what causes Seo-an to fall in love with him.
  • Older Than They Look: Woo-won, despite his youthful Pretty Boy looks, is 29. Seo-an is mildly surprised to learn that they're the same age.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The normally kind, gentle Woo-won gets upset and takes his anger out over the real estate scam on Seo-an, angrily asking him why he should have told him when Seo-an finds Woo-won and tells him that he should have reached out, stating that he needs to solve his own problems and reaching out wouldn't make a difference. Seo-an realizes he struck the wrong cord and apologizes, with Woo-won also saying sorry for being upset.
  • Pretty Boy: Woo-won is noted be really good-looking. His good looks is what gets him hired at a pizzeria renowned for having the hottest staff.
  • Secretly Selfish: He notes that on days he felt small he would intentionally go out of his way to be kind and generous to others, feeling less insignificant if they responded with joy. He's still thoroughly a Nice Guy, but this habit made his difficult life more bearable.
  • Seme: As confirmed by the author, Woo-won is the Seme to Seo-an, who will be an Uke for Woo-won only.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: He looks a lot like his mother.

A wealthy young man who has a social anxiety and panic disorder.

  • Abusive Parents: Given his position in society, Sea-an's father has never been satisfied with his children, seeing Seo-an as an idiot and failure because of his anxiety disorder, which he contributed to because of his ridiculously high expectations for him. Sea-an's mother was absent from her son's life emotionally and in presence due to being a doctor more focused on her work than Seo-an, not bothering to acknowledge his academic achievements. As a child he would have bruises on his legs as punishment from his father. He stopped wanting their recognition when he was attacked by Lee Jihoon and they cared little for his safety.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: He's seen as this by his Aloof Big Brother Seojin, calling Seo-an a Spoiled Brat and telling him to go back to work because their father is on his ass because of him, not taking his mental illness seriously and saying that he's malingering.
  • Broken Ace: Even as a child he was noted to be intelligent, athletic, rich, good-looking, and arrogant, with his talent drawing his classmates to him. However, he suffered under the neglect, high expectations, and abuse of his family, fearing them. They contributed to the development of his anxiety by the time he became an adult, no longer able to work and unable to be in a crowd without having a panic attack. Lee Jihoon posted on a forum about him using drugs, when he was in university and was at a party that was busted for drug dealing, and attacked Seo-an with a baseball bat after he begged to not be reassigned, with his mother not caring much and father reprimanding him for it. It led him to no longer desire his parents' recognition and quit his job at his family's company.
  • Cool Big Bro: To his little sister Jinyoo. He sticks up for her at their family dinner to their mom and took the blame for her breaking a vase to their father when he was 14.
  • Exhausted Eye Bags: Seo-an, who suffers from an anxiety disorder with an associated trouble sleeping, has these.
  • Fish out of Water: At times his wealth makes him this, with Woo-won and his co-workers bewildered he's helping Woo-won deliver pizza in a Bentley.
  • Has a Type: According to Yoohan he's into pretty people. It's confirmed for Woo-won when he sees Seo-an's ex Min-hyeon, who calls Woo-won freakin' handsome and asks Seo-an if he's his new man.
Min-hyeon (to Seo-an about Woo-won): Isn't he a bit too hunky for you?'
  • Not a Morning Person: He hates waking up early as because of his anxiety he tends to fall asleep late.
  • Not So Stoic:
    • His therapist thinks to herself it's the first time she's seen Seo-an so excited when he tells her about how he met Woo-won. Because of this she suggests he get closer to him.
    • When an angry, drunk customer throws his drink in Woo-won's face an angry Seo-an grabs him by the collar, telling him to fuck off and calling him a piece of shit. The manager is surprised by Seo-an's reaction, prompting him to ask if he and Woo-won are close.
  • The Perfectionist: He's haunted by his perfectionism and desire to do more, which makes Seo-an highly competitive as a result.
  • Secretly Selfish: He offers to help Woo-won with his work after his arm is broken and tries get closer to him after his therapist suggests he get closer to him to treat his anxiety. His motivation to help Woo-won gradually becomes more than just that.
  • Straight Gay: He's bisexual with a preference for men and doesn't have any campy mannerisms. His hobby is motorcycles and he likes extreme sports.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: He's usually cold and distanced, not helped by his social anxiety disorder. He shows a warmer side to his few friends and Woo-won, who he gradually falls for.
  • Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Tall, black hair, pale skin, and noted by Yoohan to be handsome even as a child.
  • Technicolor Eyes: Seo-an has gold eyes.
  • Trauma Button: Seeing a stranger who looks like Lee Jihoon, who attacked him with a baseball bat after Seo-an refused to forgive him, causes him to have a panic attack.
  • Uke: As confirmed by the author, Seo-an is a Seme but will be an Uke for Woo-won only.
  • Uptown Guy: He's the second son of a chaebol family who lives in a penthouse apartment. He begins falling in love with Woo-won, who's had to work jobs since high school to pay off his father's debt.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: He used to go the extra mile to gain his parents' affection, hoping his first place award in a 2nd grade math competition would please his mother who ended up ignoring it. It took him a long time to learn that the effort he put into his life wouldn't fill the void in his heart from his parents' neglect, after he was attacked and there were things more important to them than his safety.
