The Pizza Delivery Man and the Gold Palace (피자배달부와 골드팰리스) is a Boys' Love Korean webtoon created by U-pi.

Because of his father's gambling and bad investments, Woo-won has been spending much of his life trying to pay off the debt. Looking for a new job, he becomes a pizza delivery man at a pizzeria in a fancy neighborhood. Seo An lived his life under his controlling, perfectionist father. Eventually, he developed a social anxiety and panic disorder, quitting his job and shutting himself off from people. Woo-won's small act of kindness leads to a series of encounters that makes them grow closer to each other.

The Pizza Delivery Man and the Gold Palace contains examples of:

  • Anguished Declaration of Love: Seo-an, after remembering his life events that caused his anxiety, gives one to Woo-won, who had already rejected him and plans to move out of his apartment, when he comes to help him after he has an anxiety attack. Woo-won turns him down again at first until he's moved by Seo-an's words, gaining the courage to tell Seo-an that he likes him too.
    Seo-an: I like you. ...Don't move out. Stay with me.
  • Career-Ending Injury: Woo-won had a shoulder injury from a car accident as a teenager. Because his family couldn't pay for physical therapy, he had to quit swimming and it never healed properly, which prevents him from working parcel and manual labor jobs for more than a few months.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: After Seo-an tells Woo-won he should have reached out to him for help after he had to move out of his apartment from being swindled by the real estate scam Woo-won gets angry, questioning Seo-an as to why he'd help him and telling him that he has to solve his own problems. Afterwards Woo-won apologizes for taking his anger out on Seo-an and accepts Seo-an's offer to stay at his house, telling Woo-won that living with him would help him with his anxiety.
  • First Love: The words used to describe Woo-won and Seo-an to each other from a compatibility checklist by the author.
  • Flipping the Bird: Seo-an to his friends when they come into his penthouse and try getting him out of bed for a friend's birthday.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: Woo-won doesn't remember that 2 weeks ago he lent Seo-an an umbrella when it was raining heavily when they meet each other again while he's delivering pizza to Seo-an's apartment. Seo-an orders pizzas until he meets Woo-won again to tell him.
  • Friendship Trinket: Seo-an asks to keep Woo-won's string bracelet after he clutches it and accidentally breaks it when holding onto him during a panic attack. He holds onto it during moments of anxiety.
  • Gray Rain of Depression: Seo-an is prone to having anxiety attacks in the rain because it reminds him of his bad memories.
    Seo-an: My depression, which was much too emotionally sensitive, had me overreacting to every raindrop. If I listened carefully, the pitter-patter sounded like screams.
  • I Don't Want to Ruin Our Friendship: Seo-an considers this as his romantic feelings for Woo-won grow and he wants to confess to him, thinking to himself how screwed he is for being unable to not want more from their relationship. He kisses Woo-won while he's thanking Seo-an for being such a good friend, telling Woo-won that he can't be the friend he wants him to be. Afterwards Woo-won avoids Seo-an because he's not brave enough to date him but doesn't want their relationship to end, until Seo-an confesses to him.
  • Interclass Friendship: Woo-won is saddled with debt from his father's bad investments and gambling that he's been trying to pay off since high school. Seo-an is the second son of the family that runs S Group and lives in a penthouse and drives a Bentley. It gradually evolves into a romance.
  • Love Confession: Seo-an tells Woo-won he likes him after he avoids him for days after their kiss. Woo-won, scared of letting go, rejects him and decides to move out of his apartment.
  • One Degree of Separation: Woo-won knows the doctor Seo-an brings him to Hee-in, Seo-an's friend who used to swim with Woo-won in the same sports center nearly a decade ago.
  • Perpetual Poverty: Thanks to having to pay off a massive debt from his father's bad investments and gambling, Woo-won works multiple jobs seven days a week trying to pay it and the interest. He feels helpless when having to pay for a car accident and the medical bills from wrist injury because of it, and getting swindled in a real estate scam that leaves him homeless. Seo-an helps him with work with his injured arm and lets him stay in his penthouse.
  • Shipper on Deck: Yoohan teases Seo-an about his attraction to Woo-won, telling him to stop being shy and go and say hi to him at the bar. He later tells Woo-won about how he knew Seo-an as a child to help him understand him better.
    Yoohan (to Seo-an): You owe me a debt of gratitude. I've helped you two connect on a much deeper level.
  • "Shut Up" Kiss: Seo-an kisses Woo-won while he's thanking Seo-an for being so helpful and telling him he hopes he can be such a good friend to him as well. When Woo-won looks flustered after, Seo-an tells him to stop him if he doesn't like it and that he can't be the friend he wants him to be.
  • Sleek High Rise Apartment: Seo-an lives in a penthouse in the Gold Palace, one of Korea's most sought-after luxury apartments which houses some of the country's wealthiest.
  • Work Off the Debt: Woo-won has been working jobs since high school to pay off the huge debt his father left on his family from his gambling and bad investments.
