    Michael Demiurgos 

Michael Demiurgos:

The eldest of the remaining archangels and Lucifer's estranged twin, whose domain is over fire. The lord of heaven in all but name, Michael is dutiful, dedicated and inwardly tormented by his elder twin's betrayal.


  • Always Someone Better: Lucifer was this to him, Michael always believing his brother was superior to him, and content to rest in his shadow until The Fall occurred.
  • Archangel Michael: The man himself.
  • Big Brother Instinct: This extends to the angel race. Michael will protect them whenver he can.
  • The Chains of Commanding: Michael often feels the weight of his position, shackled by how he must act as heaven's 'regent.'
  • The Dreaded: To the enemies of heaven, nobody is more feared than Michael.
  • Due to the Dead: He orders his own elite warriors, the Powers, to salute Satannus at her funeral, remembering when Satannus was his right-hand angel.
  • The Dutiful Son: Michael is dedicated and lived his life around the creeds given by his father, Elyon Ormazd.
  • Enemy Mine: He teams up with Lucifer at the climax of Nights in Lonesome Arkham to save reality.
  • Famed In-Story: Michael is known all across the Teraverse and for good reason.
  • Fiery Redhead: Michael has red hair and an explosive temper.
  • Humble Hero: Michael refuses to be acknowledged as a ruler, believing he is only first among equals.
  • Just the First Citizen: Michael refuses to take his father's Throne or consider himself anything special to other angels.
  • Kill It with Fire: Michael's fighting style is to summon the Demiurgos flames and bake everything in the near proximity.
  • Master Swordsman: Michael is one of the best swordsmen in the Teraverse.
  • My Greatest Failure: He is haunted by his inability to stop Lucifer's fall.
  • The Needs of the Many: His justification. Michael looks at heaven's needs as a whole rather than the individual.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Just as powerful as Lucifer and capable of annihilating the entirety of Creation if he puts his mind to it.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: Michael is the most powerful archangel and the king of heaven in all but name.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Michael is exceptional willing to listen to reason and recognize threats when they occur.
  • Sadistic Choice: Lucifer forced one on him during the Fall: to join the rebels or fight against his beloved twin, counting on the choice to break Michael's will and keep him from the battlefield.
  • Unstoppable Rage: when Michael gives in to his own rage, he's able to match Lucifer, nearly overcoming his brother during the Fall.
  • We Used to Be Friends: He feels this way about Lucifer and the devils, remembering the day when they were angels once.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: He lived in the belief he was carrying out God's will, wanting his father's approval.
  • World's Strongest Man: Michael is the strongest angel in heaven. By far.

    Uriel 

Uriel

One of the great archangels, whose domain is over the earth. A kind angel who is remorseful over all that has transpired, Uriel allies with Satannus and the others against Apophis.


  • Archangel Uriel: The man himself.
  • The Atoner: Uriel feels he has to make up for the deaths of so many in the pointless wars between heaven and hell, and feels he could have done more to stop it.
  • Badass Pacifist: Uriel is one of the most peaceful of the angels, but he's also one of the most powerful and showcases that.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Uriel is the kindest, gentlest archangel sans Jibrill. When you push him too far, he's still a force to be reckoned with.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Uriel wishes to protect all his younger siblings. After a time, this extends even to the devils.
  • Cool Uncle: He reveals himself to be kind and caring to Hardestadt when they finally get a chance to talk, embracing his role as Hardestadt's uncle.
  • The Dutiful Son: Uriel was devoted to his Father and his commands, which extended to doing nothing during the silence. Satannus furiously accuses him of doing nothing but waiting for God to return, pat Uriel on the head and tell him what a good little boy he'd been.
  • Go Out with a Smile: His final expression is a warm, gentle smile to heaven and hell alike, asking if they can call things even between them.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Uriel gives his life to protect heaven and hell alike, defending countless souls from Apophis as well before slipping peacefully into death.
  • My Greatest Failure: Uriel is torn by his failure to act more to see the pain of the devils before the Fall, believing he could have done more to stop it.]]
  • Nice Guy: Uriel is incredibly kind and nice, even if plagued by doubts and sadness.
  • We Used to Be Friends: He used to be close with Lucifer and the devils, and regrets the separation long after.

    Jibrill 

One of the great archangels, whose domain is water. Jibrill is the leader of the Virtues, the healers of heaven. A kind and gentle angel, Jibrill has a history with Lucifer's son Azmodan.—-

  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: When the only recourse to save the angels with her is to take refuge in hell, Jibrill forsakes her dignity and begs Karai on her hands and knees for mercy upon her followers.
  • All-Loving Hero: Jibrill care for everyone in the Teraverse and sees her role as healing them.
  • Archangel Gabriel: A gender-flipped version, but she fits the bill.
  • Birdcaged: She was kept in a golden cage in the depths of hell during her captivity.
  • Healing Hands: Jibrill is the best healer in the Teraverse.
  • Heroic Willpower: Jibrill refuses to give up, being as strong-willed as Michael and Lucifer.
  • Making a Splash: Jibrill's power is over water.
  • My Greatest Failure: She blames herself as well for failing to stop the devils from Falling.
  • Only Sane Man: Jibrill was one of the few angels to realize how pointless the war with hell was and try to do something, but it fell on deaf ears.
  • Ship Tease: It's strongly implied she has romantic feelings for Azmodan, but has yet to act upon them.
  • The Storyteller: Jibrill knows all the stories of those in pain across the Teraverse and during her imprisonment in hell, she tells Malachor Archayus a new one every night. At the end of each sad tale, he always tells her "I don't like that story. Tell me another."
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Jibrill is one of the kindest beings alive and pities even the worst villains, including Malachor, who she had an odd bond with once upon a time.

    Ezekial 

An angel of the Thrones, the priesthood of the angels, and a callous, transphobic angel who maintains a vicious rivalry with Belial. In the present, Ezekial harbors a number of dark secrets...


  • Brainwashed and Crazy: He was turned from a dickish but ultimately harmless angel into a serial killing monster by the Black Sun.
  • Broken Tears: When he realizes all the people he murdered and how he even killed his leader Zadkiel, he's reduced to sobbing when he regains his mind and realizes all he's done, ending Give us Forever alone and shattered.
  • Despair Event Horizon: He crosses it hard when 'Urizen' is defeated and Ezekial is returned to normal. all he's done drives him into horrific despair and he's too scared and wracked with guilt to return to heaven.
  • Insistent Terminology: He's not Ezekial, he's Urizen.
  • Jerkass: At the best of times, Ezekial is elitist, cold and treats the transgender Belial like garbage, being revolted by her when she transitions.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: When his mind is restored, he suffers a massive breakdown upon recalling everything he did as Urizen.
  • Serial Killer: When he's Urizen, he kidnaps countless people and mutilates them into facsimiles of Belial to replicate her power, inevitably murdering them.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about Ezekial without revealing He's Urizen, the Lawmaster of the Black Sun.
  • Would Hit a Girl: He's mutilated and killed a lot of women and has no compunction backhanding Erin.
