    Human Tribes 

Xin-xi

  • Samurai: The Xin-xi wear samurai-inspired armor.
  • Scaling the Summit: Those who climb the great Mt. Xin-xi will gain the blessing of the Xini-kai spirit, which gives them the ability to brew the legendary Xini blossom tea. In-game, Xin-xi start with the Climbing tech.
  • Wutai: They are based on a mixture of Japanese and Chinese cultures.

Imperius

"Huge mountains and green valleys. The Imperius climate is perfect for growing fruit."

  • Ancient Rome: They are based on this.
  • Meaningful Name: Their name is a play on the word "imperial".
  • Proud Warrior Race: The Imperius are always ready for battle, which is why they never take off their helmets. A young Imperius receiving his first helmet is a celebrated occasion.

Bardur

  • Bears Are Bad News: The Bærion is a dangerous animal that the Bardur train for war. Those who manage to tame one will gain a loyal and powerful companion. Those who don't, well...
  • Grim Up North: The homeland of the Bardur is described to experience harsh eternal winter. However despite this the Bardur is said to thrive there.
  • Horny Vikings: Obviously based on the Vikings, the Bardur wear horned helmets.
  • Rite of Passage: There is a Bardurian tradition that involves sending children into a forest full of Bærians with only a tent. It usually ends with the children getting eaten.

Oumaji

  • All Deserts Have Cacti: The Sajaa Cacti is a type of fruit that spawns in the Oumaji lands. The Oumaji use a special tool to harvest them to avoid being pricked by their poisonous needles.
  • Born in the Saddle: Oumaji place great value on the Shebra, a riding animal that helps them trek across the desert. In-game, Oumaji start with the ability to train Riders.
  • Narcissist: Shebrons are good at finding oases in the desert, because they really like looking at their own reflection in the water.
  • Qurac: Since they are based on Middle Eastern or Sub Saharan Africa.
  • Shifting Sand Land: Being a desert-themed tribe, their native land has few forests and lots of open fields, providing a lot of room for their Riders to move around.
  • Zebras Are Just Striped Horses: The Oumaji uses Shebrons as their mount.

Kickoo

Vengir

  • All the Other Reindeer: The official tribe profile says that the Vengir were forced to lived in the wastelands by the other tribes.
  • Horse of a Different Color: They ride on purple stripped rhino-like animals.
  • Master Swordsman: The tribe specializes on swordmaking and starts with a single Swordsman instead of a Warrior unit.
  • Meaningful Name: Their name is a play on "vengeance" which relates to their backstory.

Zebasi

  • Horse of a Different Color: Judging on their leopard head gear, you think they would be riding them. No, they prefer riding on Georoffies (giraffes).

Ai-Mo

Quetzali

Yădakk

  • Proud Merchant Race: The Yădakk starts with roads which is essential for land-based inter-city trade within a tribe's territory.

    Special Tribes 

Aquarion

  • Atlantis: The Aquarion are based on the Atlanteans.
  • City on the Water: They don't have underwater cities but their cities sit on top of waters that are shallow enough for non-Aquarion land units to cross.
  • Fish People: The have fish scales and a fin in place of headgear. Ironically, they can't actually travel on water without assistance
  • Horse Archer: Or in this case, a Turmelon Tridenteer. Aquarion's unique Tridention unit has the combined abilities of an Archer and a Rider, making them extremely versatile.
  • Horse of a Different Color: The Aquarion ride on top of the shell of sea turtles called Turmelons.

∑∫ỹriȱŋ

  • Fair Folk: Their design is heavily based on fairies and elves.
  • Fantastic Naming Convention: Often transliterated as Elyrion, the tribe's language consist of Greek letters, latin letters with diacritics, and mathematical symbols.
  • Invented Linguistic Distinction: They use a different script from the other tribes.
  • Magical Society: Unlilke most tribes which uses conventional weaponry, the ∑∫ỹriȱŋ are known for their weaponized enchantments.
  • Our Minotaurs Are Different: They can turn animal resources into minotaur-like or minotaur units.
  • Unicorn: They ride on unicorns or occasionally turn them into minotaurs.
  • Weaponized Animal: While all tribes has mounted units, the ∑∫ỹriȱŋ have animals themselves as units. They command dragons, enchanted whales, and minotaur-like enchanted animals.

Polaris

  • Cute Monster: The Mooni is admittedly quite adorable. According to lore, they also hum a happy tune while spreading ice.
  • Elemental Nation: The Polaris are known for the ice-based specialty. They can freeze oceans, can train units which can easily traverse frozen terrain, and have units which can freeze the enemy for a turn.
  • Eskimo Land: What their tribe is based on.
  • Fantasy Aliens: One of the tribe celebrations describes the Gaami as being from an alien world.

Cymanti

  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Apllies to most of their units.
  • Meaningful Name: Their name is a play on the word "mantis".
  • Poisonous Person: Several of their units poison enemies when they attack.
  • The Symbiote: The Circu Bugs attached to the heads of the Cymanti's people are said to grant enhanced senses for food and protection
