Momo
Voiced by: Hekiru Shiina (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Kerry Williams (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Kana Hanazawa (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
A sweet, polite, ladylike cat whom Tama has a crush on.
- Betty and Veronica: The Archie to Tama's Betty and Bull's Veronica.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Despite being kind and ladylike, she can be feisty and rough when she wants to be. Kuro found this out the hard way in episode 3 of Have you seen my Tama.
- Competition Freak: Can be very competitive when someone outdoes her at something. For example, she becomes furious when Pochi scores a point during a soccer-like block-kicking game in Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?. Then in Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, Momo takes an immediate disliking towards a cat from a cat cafe that was stealing the customers from her owners' cafe.
- The Cutie: She's the idol of Third Street because she's this.
- Damsel in Distress: Plays this a few times in Do You Know My Tama? and in the Search for Momo-chan OVA.
- Oblivious to Love: Doesn't seem to notice Bull's crush on her.
- Ship Tease: With Tama.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Girly Girl to Koma's Tomboy.
Pochi (Doozle)
Voiced by: Masako Watanabe (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Kayzie Rogers (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Kenshō Ono (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
A timid little dog who is constantly in a state of fright.
- Fainting: Did this a few times during Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?.
- Forgettable Character: In Uchitama?! Have You Seen My Tama?, the other characters sometimes forget about his presence as a minor Running Gag.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Tama.
- I Want to Be a Real Man: After his timid nature makes him lose a competition in an episode of Uchitama?! Have You Seen My Tama?, he tries to become a strong and manly "wolf" by acting like a bad boy. His attempts amount to Poking the Poodle, and it concludes with him being labelled the cutest dog on Third Street.
- Lovable Coward: Practically always.
Tora (Tiggle)
Voiced by: Chika Sakamoto (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Jimmy Zoppi (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Yusuke Shirai (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
A trouble-making cat.
- Addled Addict: Starts behaving aggressively and feeling somewhat ill after he becomes addicted to some catnip a strange man was giving him in episode 4 of Have you seen my Tama?. Fortunately, "Dog Officer" Kuro was able to snap him back to his senses.
- Interspecies Romance: Tora develops his first crush during episode 5 of Uchitama. We don't see her actual appearance until the end of the segment. Which reveals she was a pet pig the entire time.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's a natural born troublemaker who's often teasing his friends or coming up with crazy daredevil stunts to try. Nevertheless, he's always there for a friend.
- Vitriolic Best Friends: With Nora.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: In Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, he's shown to be afraid of heights despite his love for climbing. He would often freeze up if he climbs too high.
Beh (Chopin)
Voiced by: Mari Maruta (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Lisa Ortiz (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Yuma Uchida (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
A black cat who knows all of the shortcuts and hidden places a cat could know.
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: In Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, he seems to have the shortest attention span in the group. One moment he's talking to a friend, the next moment he's looking at something else (like a butterfly, a snail, or an army of ants) while the friend's still talking.
- Mellow Fellow: He's very rarely fazed by any chaos that happens around him in Ichitama?! Have You Seen My Tama?, usually because he's oblivious or distracted.
- Power of the Void: In Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka? web shorts and Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, Beh has the ability to open a void to another dimension and teleport himself and another to a different spot or through time whenever his bandage is peeled off. He seems to be completely unaware of this, though.
- Sleepy Head: In Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, he often falls asleep wherever he is.
Nora (Rockney)
Voiced by: Yūko Tsuga (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Eric Stuart (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Yūki Kaji (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)

- Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: The Brooding Boy to Koma's Gentle Girl in Uchitama?! Have You Seen My Tama?.
- Dark and Troubled Past: He lived a rough life on the streets, struggling to find food, and was sometimes bullied by older strays. He was eventually taken in by a kind-hearted woman, but sadly she died from a sudden illness, leaving Nora on his own once again.
- Like Brother and Sister: Has this relationship with Koma.
- Not So Stoic: Still participates in the gang's activities. In Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, he, too, was impressed by the performance done by the cats of the cat cafe. He even imitated their pose with the others.
- Perpetual Frowner: Almost never smiles in Have you seen my Tama?.
- The Smart Guy: Nora seems to have more knowledge about the outside world than his domestic friends.
- The Stoic: Mostly in Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?.
- Vitriolic Best Friends: With Tora.
Koma (Pimmy)
Voiced by: Kae Araki (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Kayzie Rogers (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Tomoyo Kurosawa (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
The youngest member of Tama's group.
- The Baby of the Bunch: She's the youngest and smallest in Tama's gang.
- Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: The Gentle Girl to Nora's Brooding Boy in Uchitama?! Have You Seen My Tama?.
- The Cutie: Being the youngest in the group, you can't be surprised.
- Like Brother and Sister: She's seen as the group's little sister, but she shares this relationship most with Nora (though it could be because she has a possible crush on him).
- The Runaway: Once ran away from home in a Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama? episode after her owner yelled at her. Being unable to find a new place and realizing there's no place like home, she returns to her master.
- The Smurfette Principle: Due to Momo not being present, she's the only girl in Tama's group during the Tama & Friends: Third Street Story series.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl:The Tomboy to Momo's Girly Girl.
- Youthful Freckles: She has markings on her face that resemble these, emphasizing her being the youngest member of the group.
Kuro (Wocket)
Voiced by: Tetsuya Iwanaga (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Jimmy Zoppi (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Yūichirō Umehara (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
A black hyperactive dog.
- Heroic Dog: In Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, Kuro sometimes plays the role of a police dog. He once saved Tora when he got hooked on catnip.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Gon. The two are rarely seen apart.
- The Klutz: He's a tad clumsy in Have you seen my Tama.
- Lovable Jock: He's the most athletic of the group.
Gon (Bengbu)
Voiced by: Junji Kitajima (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Jimmy Zoppi (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Wataru Hatano (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
A wise, laid-back dog.
- Big Brother Mentor: Plays this role for the group well, especially in Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?.
- Catchphrase: "It'll work out somehow."
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Kuro. He's hardly ever seen without him.
- Mellow Fellow: He's very laid-back and calm.
- Smart People Wear Glasses: His human form in Uchitama?! Have You Seen My Tama? wears glasses, and he's one of the most well-learned of the group.
Bull (Buru/Bupkus)
Voiced by: Tarô Arakawa (Japanese, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Jerry Lobozzo (English, Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama?), Tomoaki Maeno (Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?)
A bulldog that bullies Tama's group.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Bull in older installments is a complete bully. His Uchitama incarnation is much less nasty, if still cantankerous.
- Betty and Veronica: The Veronica to Tama's Betty for Momo's Archie.
- The Bully: In the earlier series, he stroked fear into Tama's gang as he often chased and scared the wits out of them just for sport.
- Interspecies Romance: Has a major crush on Momo. In Have You Seen My Tama, he also falls for another cat named Kai, even though it was unknown whether Kai was male or female.
- I Was Quite a Fashion Victim: His owner occasionally has him wear very strange-looking sweaters, much to his dismay.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Very grouchy, bullies Tama and his gang, but will lend a paw when necessary. He even once saved Pochi when he was held hostage by a crook in a Tama of Third Street: Do You Know My Tama? episode.
- Large Ham: He's very dramatic in Uchitama?! Have You Seen My Tama?, practicing poses for when he has to introduce himself to the rest of the group, and singing a song of heartbreak when he thought Momo was in love with Tama.
