Main Characters

Jimmy Roberts

• Butt-Monkey: So very much in the film where he gets treated like crap by everyone, especially Craig, He just can't seem to say "no" to anyone.
• Extreme Doormat: He gets walked all over by everyone and can't say "no" to anyone, not even the cartoons.
• Gibberish of Love: He stutters whenever he talks to Robin and is really a Nice Guy.
• Nice Guy: He's pretty mild-mannered, unlike his best friend.
• Running Gag: He stutters whenever he's trying to talk to Robin.

Golly Gopher

• Deadpan Snarker: He is prone to making snide remarks.
• Disembodied Eyebrows: Him and Dolly’s ears float above their heads.
• Dreamworks Face: Many times drawn with the top of his head tilted like an eyebrow to give him a smirking, mischievous expression.
• Everyone Has Standards: He may be selfish a lot, but he is disturbed by Jimmy's Stalker Shrine toward Robin.
• Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Only wears a blue polo shirt with two yellow stripes.
• The Hero: Well, at least in his cartoons...
• It's All About Me: He has a huge opinion of himself.
• Mocky Mouse: He wears White Gloves, has his own amusement park, was originally owned by a Mr. Alt Disney, is the mascot of Appleday Studios and is a rodent.
• Nice Character, Mean Actor: He’s a sweet little guy in his cartoons, as opposed to the selfish manipulative jerk in “real life”.
• Jerkass: He gets better though.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: What he upgrades to. Nearly having the host that keeps you alive killed in a train accident can do that to you!
• Opposites Attract: Golly is one heck of a narcissistic and selfish egomaniac, yet he’s paired up with the overly sensitive Nice Girl Dolly.
• Official Couple: With Dolly.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Dolly’s Blue.
• Rodents of Unusual Size: Seems to be about two feet tall.
• Snarky Nonhuman Sidekick: to Jimmy.
• Token Evil Teammate: While not evil, he's the only one out of the toons who is selfish, egomaniacal, and scheming.
• White Gloves: Standard wear for toons in his creation date.

Dolly Gopher

• Beware the Nice Ones: In the series at least, she isn’t above whacking Jimmy in the head with a mallet when he fails to ask Robin out or when he hurts Tux’s feelings after making fun of him and his act at school.
• The Conscience: She’s the only cartoon character who seems to worry about overworking Jimmy with his new job as a cartoonist. In her first appearance, she’s also greatly concerned as to whether they hurt Jimmy with the safe they dropped on his head.
• Damsel in Distress: In “Hero in Train-ing “
• Disembodied Eyebrows: Her and Golly’s ears float above their heads. Her bow even floats along with them.
• In Love with Love: Instantly squees when she discovers Jimmy’s crush on Robin. She’s also always the first to get him to try and get him to date her in the series. Also, she insists on helping “with the romantic scenes” for the new cartoon in the film when Jimmy becomes head of Appleday Pictures .
• Palette Swap: Wears a yellow dress with blue stripes in contrast to Golly’s blue shirt with yellow stripes.
• Nice Girl: When she’s tied to a railway, Dolly is far more concerned about causing a traffic accident and the passengers on the train than herself. Not to mention she’s the only one of the toons who forces a smile and claps at Tux’s bad puns when the others boo and throw fruit at him.
• Official Couple: With Golly
• Opposites Attract: Sweet-natured, empathetic Dolly Is paired with selfish, arrogant Golly.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Golly’s red.
• Rodents of Unusual Size: Seems to be about two feet tall.
• White Gloves
• Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Looks exactly the same as Golly except with a dress, eyelashes and a bow.

Tux the Penguin

• Non-Indicative Name: He's an alligator, not a crocodile.
