     Karina

Karina Carver (renameable) - 17 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1_39.png
The protagonist. After having dreams about the mysterious green book, Karina finally encounters it in the school library, which leads her to the Emerald World.

The Already-Available Characters

     Terrance

Terrance Powell /Soa - 18 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2_04.png
Terrance is one of the first characters Karina meets. They run into each other while Terrance and Elias are trying to catch Veon. He likes "Playing Cards" and "Toy Horse".

  • Babies Ever After: In his "good" ending with Karina, he ends up having a son with her, who, like Elias, also dislikes carrots.
  • Manchild: Downplayed, but he still likes playing with toy horses.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Blue to Elias's Red.
  • Secret Identity: Terrance is actually Soa, the infamous thief who made a big name for himself quite long ago. He admitted that he stole because he was jealous of how rich people could live off of poor people. However, he then decided not to be Soa anymore.
  • The Stoic: Not unfriendly at all, but he pretty much never smiles. The only time he does so is when he told Karina about his past of being Soa on their first date, and even then, it's a sad one.
  • Stoic Spectacles: Terrance often comments on his bad eyesight, and in Karina's "bad" ending with him, she meets his counterpart in her world, who wears glasses.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Despite sometimes getting on the other's throat, he is still the closest thing to a friend Elias has. And even after either character marries Karina, they are still close enough that their children think of the other as a Cool Uncle.
  • Younger Than They Look: Terrance looks like someone in their 20s, but he's only 18.

     Elias

Elias Brooks - 18 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3_38.png
Terrance's partner in bounty hunting, a guy with mean tongue and mean attitude, but means well. He likes "Harmonica" and "Terry the Toaster".

  • Babies Ever After: In Karina's "good" ending with him, he ends up having a daughter with her.
  • Does Not Like Spam: He really loathes carrots. Terrance forces him to eat, though, seeing how it's good for him.
    • Cool Uncle: Which makes him this to Terrance's son, who also dislikes carrots.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: He comments on how he should probably cut his hair, and blushes when Karina agrees. He never does cut it, though.
  • Lovable Jock: In the "bad" ending with him, Karina meets his counterpart in her world, who is a basketball player in the school.
  • Luminescent Blush: When he gets embarrassed, which is pretty much half the time.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Elias can act like a real jerk at times, but he is a good person.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Like Terrance, he almost never smiles, but takes this further by having a scowl on his face all the time.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Red to Terrance's Blue.
  • Tsundere: The most notable thing about him. He's a type A one and has fitting attitude. Interestingly, this makes his rare emotional moments very cute.

     Aiden

Aiden Oakley - 17 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/untitled_05.png
The owner of a flower shop, and he mainly sells roses. Aiden is revealed to be also from Karina's world, and he comes into this world three years before her to run away from his family. He likes "Glow In The Dark Stars" and "Toy Horse".

  • Babies Ever After: In one good ending with him, they have a daughter together.
  • Continuity Overlap: He is a classmate of Mako, Yumi and Hana from Festival Days.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: He has shining blue eyes which marks him as a nice and optimistic boy.
  • Nice Guy: Kind-hearted and cheerful, he's easily one of the nicest characters.
  • Perpetual Smiler: In contrast to Terrance and Elias, Aiden always smiles.
  • Something about a Rose: He sells mainly roses. Ironically, this is why giving him a rose won't level up the mood on a date with him, because he has too many of them already.

     Fidel

Fidel Morgan - 20 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/5_4.png
The shy and timid police officer. He saves Karina when she falls of a bridge during their first meeting. He likes "Project Toaster" and "Puzzle Cube".

The Secret Characters

     Veon

Veon Silva - 19 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6_84.png
The first character Karina meets, a thief who steals food and other domestic stuffs for a living. Despite having a lot of involvement in the intro, he's a locked character and you have to unlock him. He lives in the South Further Outskirt and likes "Harmonica" and "Puzzle Cube".

  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Obviously the "bad boy" type and a love interest for Karina.
  • Casanova Wannabe: His dialogues are rather flirty, but he's never had a girlfriend in his entire life.
  • Cat Boy: The first one Karina meets. Bonus point for also being a male version of a Classy Cat-Burglar.
  • Expy: Of Lance from Wonderland Days. They are both cat boys with flirty attitude and the habit of calling the protagonist a "princess". And when it comes to their appearance, Lance is pretty much Veon with black hair and gold eyes - they even wear the same kind of choker - albeit with different outfits.
  • Fantastic Racism: The people here don't really like cats, and his stealing action doesn't help.
  • Gentleman Thief: Even though he steals, he only steal food and other necessities, and is pretty nice and laid-back.
  • Hidden Depths: He actually wants to be good at crafting.
  • The Nicknamer: Calls Karina "Princess".
  • Perpetual Smiler: Almost never loses that smug-ish smile of his.
  • Secret Character: To unlock him, find the red marker (Click on the blue bowl on West Street) and go to South Outskirt and click on the place where the bird drawing is. Your character will draw something next to it. You can do it once a day. One day, when you go there you'll see Veon having been caught by Terrance and Elias, then you get the option of staying with Elias or Veon, choose staying with Veon (go to farther outskirts, there's a house that's were you find him).
    • Or you can just enter the cheat code "effthepolice" at the beginning of the game to unlock him.

     Clyde

Clyde Hiram - 21 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/7_64.png
A gentlemanly magician, Clyde's location is at the Carousel. He likes "Playing Cards" and roses.

  • The Casanova: Also quite flirty, but he's more subtle about this than Veon and opts to sophisticated nicknames like "Milady".
  • Hidden Depths: Despite his confident nature, he is actually anxious that he won't be able to become a great magician. But Karina believes in him and he no longer feels insecure.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Also a cheerful and smiley character.
  • Secret Character: You can unlock him by choosing the "work" option when you have no HP left to faint and he will help you. But if you use the cheats for infinite HP, this will be impossible, so you can also just enter "workingovertime" at the beginning of the game.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Wears a white suit most of the time, with a purple shirt and tie.

     Raine

Raine Quinn - 18 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/8_4.png
The only girl other than Karina in the game, Raine is a quiet, sickly girl with a fondness for roses. She likes roses (duh) and "Project Toaster".

  • Curtains Match the Window: The only one to have her hair color matched her eyes.
  • Gay Option: The only female love interest for Karina.
  • Luminescent Blush: She usually spots this.
  • Secret Character: To unlock her, buy a lot of roses from Aiden's flower shop, he should at some point give you a shovel. After that, go to the woods and click on the ground, you should see an option to plant the roses you've brought. Choose the planting option and plant 12 roses. After that you need to go away from that area and then come back, Raine is there now.
    • Or you can use the cheat code "gardeningisforsquares".
  • Shrinking Violet: Of the sickly, quiet and anxious type.
  • Something about a Rose: She loves roses, and she believes that Karina, who plants 12 roses in the East Gate, is the love of her life.

     Sky

Sky Irving - 20 years old

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/9_35.png
A mysterious and seemingly scary boy, who turns out to actually be very childish and shy. Sky lives in the factory in North Outskirt. He likes "Terry The Toaster" and "Glow In The Dark Stars".

  • Babies Ever After: In the "good" ending with him, Sky and Karina have a son together.
  • Cat Boy: The last one, and the hardest to find.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: Despite not going out because of fearing the discrimination people have for cats, he really wants somebody to talk to. This is notable in the first time you meet him when Sky panics when you're about to leave, and he hopes to be able to make friends with people some day.
  • Luminescent Blush: He blushes a lot due to also being the "shy" type.
  • Manchild: At first sight, Sky looks like a mature character, until you actually talk to him, which reveals him to actually be a very, very childish person.
  • Sarashi: Sky wears bandages all over his body to hide the nasty burns he had back when the factory had an accident.
  • Secret Character: Sky is, hands down, the hardest character to unlock in the game. You'll have to do a Chain of Deals of these to unlock him, in order:
    • Get the pencil from the trash can outside Terrence and Elias's place.
    • Give the pencil to Alix (the hotel owner), he will give you a paper clip.
    • Give the paper clip to Fidel, he will give you scissors.
    • Give the scissors to Aiden, he will give you a pocket knife.
    • Give the pocket knife to Elias, he will give you a screwdriver.
    • Give the screwdriver to Xolga (the teddy bear in the shop), he will give you a magnifying glass.
    • Give the magnifying glass to Terrance, he will give you a lint brush.
    • Give the lint brush to Mr. Toko (the yellow bartender), he will give you a flashlight.
    • Go to the abandoned warehouse past Fidel's home.
    • Or you can just skip all the above and type "bartermaster" at the beginning of the game.
  • Shrinking Violet: Of the lonely, childish and insecure type.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Has golden eyes and is a cat.
