The Royal Family

     Charles zi Britannia
Power - Geass: World of Lies

The current Emperor of Britannia.

  • Big Bad: For Britannia, at least.
  • Not His Sled: His plan in this story is not to use the Ragnarok Connection, as his brother still believes. Instead, he intends to force Lelouch to enact the Zero Requiem from canon, dying after making the world unite in hatred of him, to bring about world peace in the aftermath.
  • Villainous Rescue: Right as Pucci is on the cusp of total victory, Charles arrives to deal with the threat in person, using his Geass to bypass the priest's Stand and kill him with a headshot.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: His main goal is to end deceit and war in the world. His methods, however, involve trying to break his son to make him carry out his canonical Zero Requiem plan, up to and including losing his life in the process.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: A weird example (though neither is a hero outside their own mind) where he gives one and receives one from his counterpart from canon.
Canon!Charles: How dare you! You coward! You demean us both with this - This mockery of a scheme!
LLBR!Charles: You dare say that while you clung to Ragnarok to the very end?

     Marianne vi Britannia
Power - Geass: Transference

The murdered favorite wife of Emperor Charles.

     Schneizel el Britannia
Power - Stand: Every Star

The Prime Minister and Second Prince of Britannia, one of the best tacticians on the planet.

  • Always Someone Better: Lelouch has never been able to beat him at anything.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Lelouch letting himself get stabbed with a sword (that had a Stand Arrow hidden in the tip). His narration admits he honestly hadn't considered that (or Lelouch's subsequent power-up) a possibility.
  • Final Boss: Becomes the last threat Lelouch faces.
  • Hero Killer: His kills Shirley, and Lelouch dies of the injuries he sustained to kill him.
  • Transhuman Treachery: Abandons his humanity to gain the powers of a vampire.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Finally loses his cool when he realizes Lelouch has beaten him, trying in his last moments to kill Lelouch out of spite.
Schneizel: No... I can't lose! There's too much at stake! Humanity! The future! A better world, where humans can live at peace! You've robbed them of that possibility, for chaos and uncertainty! Wrrrrrryyyyy! Lelouch!

     Cornelia li Britannia
Power - Stand: Crush 'Em

The Second Princess of Britannia, a ruthless general who has never known defeat.

  • An Arm and a Leg: Loses part of her arm against an Anubis-wielding Mao. She later gets a prosthetic to compensate.
  • Defector from Decadence: She abandons Britannia in favor of JOJO after he informs her of Charles' plans.

     Euphemia li Britannia
Power - Stand: Imagine

The Third Princess of Britannia, a caring young woman who hopes for peace.

  • Loophole Abuse: Utilized when faced with a vampiric Kanon; her Stand only keeps living things from harm.
  • Official Couple: Gets together with Suzaku. They even have a daughter by the final scene.
  • Personality Powers: A girl who doesn't want harm to come to anyone gains a power that keeps all living beings near her from being harmed.
  • Unexpected Successor: Ends the story as the new Empress of Britannia.

     Clovis la Britannia
Power - Stand: The Wall

The Third Prince of Britannia, and Viceroy of Area Eleven at the start of the story.

  • Adaptational Badass: Canon Clovis couldn't do anything when Lelouch attacked him except beg for his life. This Clovis gives Lelouch his first real Stand fight.
  • Adaptation Personality Change: He is much more confident than his quickly irritated canon self. In canon, he quickly lashed out at Bartley when the "poison gas" is stolen, while in this story he calmly berates Bartley instead, taking the chance to take a few sarcastic jabs at him while belittling him.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Clovis's Stand is comprised of bricks, which are sturdy (Durability A) and strong enough to create vibrations louder than a gunshot when striking something.
    • Detachment Combat / Rocket Punch: The bricks that make up The Wall can be broken apart and launched like projectiles.
    • Spectacular Spinning: His Orbital Death Storm technique, which has all of his bricks rotate as a Spin Attack, although it also uses 4 bricks on the ground that are all perpendicular to each other and sweeps the floor, which Clovis used to locate the invisible Lelouch.
  • Hates Their Parent: When hearing of Lelouch and Nunnaly's supposed death for the first time, he lashed out at his paintings and blamed his father for their death, a scene not shown in the anime.
  • Final Speech: After Lelouch fatally wounds him, Clovis comes to regret becoming consumed by vengeance, and begs his unseen killer not to continue the Cycle of Revenge. At the time, Lelouch just scoffs at that, but after going through a lot of Character Development, he begrudgingly admits that Clovis had a point.
  • First-Episode Spoiler: Second chapter specifically, but the fact Clovis of all people has a Stand serves to emphasize how different this story will be from canon.
  • In Spite of a Nail: He still dies from Lelouch shooting him, though it takes a while this time (and he doesn't know his shooter's identity).
  • Starter Villain: Lelouch's first Stand-wielding opponent.

The Knights of the Round

  • Adaptational Badass: All of them are given Geass (or Stand, in one case) in this story, in response to JOJO taking over the EU in Arc 4.

     Bismarck Waldstein
Power - Geass: Future Vision

The Knight of One, a powerful warrior loyal to Emperor Charles above all else.

  • The Dragon: Serves his Emperor faithfully in all things.

     Gino Weinberg
Power - Geass: Beyond Sight

The optimistic Knight of Three, an excitable young man.

     Dorothea Ernst
Power - Geass: Deja Vu

The Knight of Four, and agent of Dio.

  • Cruel and Unusual Death: She gets crushed inside her Knightmare after Suzaku hits it with a Spin-infused ball.
  • Déjà Vu: Her Geass causes others to experience this and nothing else.
  • Expy: Surprisingly enough, she has shades of being one to Nagito from Danganronpa 2. Both engage in evil actions in the hopes of provoking good to overcome it. Her narration even has her asking Kallen to use her as 'a stepping stone' on the path to being a hero and saving the world.
  • Token Good Teammate: Somehow becomes this to Dio's forces. She actually hates Dio and most of his followers, but follows his lead in the hopes of being defeated by some 'hero' that can overcome him.

     Anya Alstreim
Power - Stand: Flash

The stoic Knight of Six, plagued by memory problems.

  • The Stoic: Nothing much seems to get a visible reaction out of her.

     Nonette Enneagram
Power - Geass: Radar Locator

The Knight of Nine, an optimistic woman.

  • Shipper on Deck: Takes time out of infiltrating the Black Knights base to tell everyone she thinks Ohgi and Villetta are a cute couple (to the latter's embarrassment.

     Luciano Bradley
Power - Geass: Gaze of the Veil

The sadistic Knight of Ten, a ruthless madman on and off the battlefield. Actually loyal to Dio.

     Monica Krushevsky
Power - Geass: Just Monica

The Knight of Twelve, a serious young woman devoted to justice.

Military

     Guilford
Power - Stand: Take On Me

A knight in service to Princess Cornelia.

     Darlton

A seasoned general, and direct subordinate to Cornelia.

  • Sacrificial Lion: Is killed in the climax of the second arc, courtesy of an Anubis-possessed Euphie.

     General Bartley
Power - Geass: Stand Scouter

A general in charge of Code-R on Price Clovis's behalf.

  • Required Secondary Powers: His Geass, as part of allowing him to determine the powers and capabilities of Stands, allows him to see Stands despite not possessing one himself.

Valkyrie Squadron

The Knight of Ten's personal all-female subordinates.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Nina kills them all by using glass shards to inject air into their bloodstreams, triggering a fatal reaction.

     Marika Soresi
Power - Stand: Ghost Love Score

A member of Valkyrie Squadron, and Kewell's sister.

  • Me's a Crowd: Her Stand lets her create clones of whatever or whoever she touches (though only one at a time).
  • Revenge: Wants to kill Suzaku for his role in her brother's fate.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Sir Luciano. Even to the point of treason.

     Lillianna Vergamon
Power - Stand: Through Fire and Flame

A member of Valkyrie Squadron, and Marika's best friend.

  • Ascended Extra: Her canon counterpart barely had much screen time, even in the spin-off that fleshed out Marika. Here, she's given a more developed personality, and an extended fight sequence.
  • It's Personal: Wants to kill Zero for killing her uncle, Colonel Kanyon West.

     Others

The other members of Valkyrie Squadron.

  • Bit Character: Even in canon, these two barely have a presence.
  • The Team Normal: They're the only members of Dio's forces to not have any supernatural abilities.

The Purists

A faction of the Britannian military obsessed with racial purity.

     Jeremiah Gottwald
Power - Stand: Agent Orange

The leader of the Purebloods Faction, and a fervently Loyal soldier.

  • Heroic Sacrifice: Gives his life helping Nunnally defeat V.V.
  • Shock and Awe: The loyalty-based strikes of lightning aren't just a Running Gag - that's his Stand firing electricity. The first combat use of it is when he kills P 2 F.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Actually warms up to Suzaku during the final battle against Stand Out, after the Honorary Britannian risks himself to rescue the Purebloods under P 2 F's control (displaying his Loyalty in the process). He promotes him to Warrant Officer on the spot.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Empress Marianne and her children. He leaps at the chance to help Nunnally battle V.V.

     Villetta Nu
Power - Geass: Recollection Lever

An ambitious member of the Purebloods Faction, who runs afoul of several Stand users.

  • Badass Normal: Is a skilled knight and holds her own against several foes stronger than herself even before getting a Geass.
  • Happily Married: Still gets together with Ohgi by the end.
  • Irony: A woman who lost her memory in canon gains a Geass that allows her to erase memories, even her own.
  • Unwanted Rescue: Receives several from Suzaku.

Chigusa

A young Japanese woman created by Villetta's exposure to New Clear Days, who lingers on for sometime after first being formed.

  • Hearing Voices: Regularly hears Villetta talking to her as a result of her Geass.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Gives her all to kill Kusakabe, even knowing doing so will wipe her out of existence.

     Kewell Soresi
Power - Stand: Almost Human - Geass: Absolute Survival

A high-ranked member of the Purebloods.

  • Arc Villain: Serves as one to the biggest recurring threats in Arc 2, alongside Mao.
  • Butt-Monkey: The story is not kind to him, to say the least.
  • Sanity Slippage: Wasn't particularly stable to begin with, but by the end of Arc 2, he's barely able to play at being human, with a single-minded focus on killing Suzaku.
  • Strapped to an Operating Table: Quite literally once Code-R gets their hands on him. Amongst other things, he's injected with Pillar Man blood.
  • Was Once a Man: By the time the experiments are done, he barely qualifies as a human being anymore. Being made to forget his identity (alongside any unconscious limitations he was holding for himself) doesn't help that.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: He only has a few days to live after Code-R is through with him. In that time, however, he intends to have revenge on those he feels wronged him, and doesn't care how much of Japan burns in the process.

Others

     Lloyd

An eccentric scientist focused on Knightmare Frames.

     Cecile

Lloyd's assistant (and minder).

     Kanon
Power - Stand: Breakpoint

Schneizel's aide and right hand man.

     V.V.
Power - Code Bearer - Spin User

The elder twin bother of Emperor Charles, and current head of the Geass Order.

  • Fate Worse than Death: He exits the story trapped under heavy, immovable debris at the bottom of a frozen lake far away from civilization (or Thought Elevators he can teleport to), with no one knowing where he is or caring to try and rescue him. Eventually, his mind shuts down entirely.
  • Hate Plague: His Geass allowed him to drive anyone into a mindless, homicidal rage. Naturally, he used it to wipe out most of the royal family besides his father and brother.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: His downfall is caused by the niece he crippled, and the Spin-infused ball she made him drop at his feet.

     The Geass Trio

Commander, Sergeant, Corporal

Power - Geass: Secret, Disorient, Fury

A trio of Geass bearers sent to interrogate the Kozuki resistance cell in the wake of Stand Out's debut.

  • Better to Die than Be Killed / Defiant to the End: The Corporal uses one of the two poison capsules he had in his mouth to kill himself rather than give any information out to Kallen's group.
  • Blinded by Rage: The Corporal's Geass, Fury, can inflict this on others that make eye contact with him.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep" / No Name Given: None of them were really given a proper name, not that they were important enough to have one anyways.
  • Fantastic Racism: Seems to have disdain for Stand users.
Commander: Killed Frederick Breedington, did we? Strictly speaking I should turn you in, but if you promise to continue killing Stand users, I think we can make an exception.
  • Fat Bastard: All 3 of them were described to be overweight.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Kallen used a hand mirror to reflect the Corporal's Fury Geass to himself, giving Kallen enough time to put him out of comission.
  • Interface Screw: The Seargent's Geass, Disorient, inflicts this effect on others within his range.
  • Magical Eye: They're Geass users.
  • Powers Do the Fighting: None of the three actually fought physically, instead only relying on their Geass powers.
  • Smug Super: All three were very confident in their powers, believing that the power of Geass was outright superior to Stands and felt comfortable lording their powers over Kallen, Ohgi, and Tamaki without taking precautions to outside factors.
  • Telepathy: The Commander's Geass, Secret, which functions similar to an inferior version of Mao's: The Commander can perceive secrets of the people he uses his Geass on, but his Geass doesn't give him the direct knowledge of the person's thoughts or opinions, only the things the person has said or done.
  • Too Dumb to Live: The Commander makes the mistake of revealing it's lethal to try and have a Stand and Geass at the same time ... when someone is nearby with a Stand Arrow. The Commander realizes his mistake a second later before Lelouch strikes him with the Arrow.
  • Warmup Boss: Serves as this to mostly Ohgi and Tamaki, but they're also the first Geass opponents Lelouch and Kallen faces. Their strategy, while effective, was simple as well, with Kallen deducing the limitations of their power within the first exposure to their powers. They also only last 1 chapter before dying.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: They're all dead by the end of their first appearance.
