The Loud Siblings and other canon characters (It's a Kid's World Universe)

The versions of the Loud siblings that exist in the alternate timeline where the events of "It's a Kid's World" take place.

     Lincoln Loud

Lincoln Loud from the IAKW timeline.

  • Big Brother Instinct: His reason for toughening up is because he failed to keep what remained of his family together. He trains as a swordfighter to defend his siblings from hostile threats. This trope especially comes into play when he brutally assaults Chester Bundy for cutting out his sister Lucy's eye.
  • Back from the Dead: He dies at the end of season three after getting crucified by Chester and his followers. But Asherah revives him and he returns to defeat him and save his friends.
  • Dork Knight: Lincoln, an archetypal nerdy boy, ends up becoming a badass warrior later in the story.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: He's this with Lynn, at first. She berates him for not being strong, tough or manly enough to lead the siblings in season one, which is something that preys on his brain in the following season. However, he overcomes this and becomes a tougher and much more battle-hardened kid as the story goes on. Meanwhile, Lynn undergoes a lot of trauma and becomes more insecure, though she still retains her toughness.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Lincoln goes from the meek, relatively weak nerd kid he is canonically at the beginning of the story and trains to become a skilled knight and experienced warrior in combat.

     Luna Loud
  • Being Good Sucks: She's given the choice to run off with Sam and spend her last few weeks before being erased from existence happily with the girl of her dreams, or to stay with her younger siblings and keep them safe and orderly for as long as she can. She chooses the latter, as she knows she has to be selfless and responsible for their sake, but that doesn't change the fact that this choice hurts her.
  • Berserk Button: She loses it when she sees Lynn try to punch her brother in the face, and then later when Lynn loudly confronts her over her choice to leave Lincoln in charge over her.
  • Big Good: As the oldest remaining member of the family after The Big Vanish, Luna acts as this for the rest of her siblings. She helps maintain order in the house, and keeps them safe. She's in charge of the Loud's strategy for defending themselves against Hank and Hawk's attack on their home, and her final act before vanishing herself is to put Lincoln, the most responsible of the younger siblings, in charge after she's gone so that they'll be able to get by without her.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Luna arguably gets the most focus in the first season of the story, only to get erased nine chapters in and not appear again until the end.
  • Killed Off for Real: A variation. She's not literally killed, but she does vanish as she turns 16 at the end of the first season. She doesn't appear again until after the effects of the vanish are reversed near the end of the finale season.

     Luan Loud
  • Both Sides Have a Point: The conflict between Luan and Asherah is essentially this. Neither of them is the bad guy, rather they have conflicting points of view and just get off on the wrong foot. Luan is normally a comedic, joking, light-hearted person that isn't particularly easy to annoy or anger, but the events of the story take a toll on her. After Luna disappears and the remaining siblings get split up, Luan is by far the oldest of her group and is left with a lot of pressure to keep them safe. That, combined with the fact that she is struggling to maintain her cheerful outlook on life, given all the bleak stuff happening around her, has made her more sour, sceptical, and distrusting toward people. Then Asherah comes in. She means well, but her method of informing the Loud siblings of the information they need to know by pretending to be a fortune teller and scaring them with her fear-inducing prophecies probably wasn't the best way to do it. Since that point, the two teenage girls are hostile toward each other and mutually dislike/distrust the other. Eventually, the two come to blows after it's revealed Asherah let Lisa get taken by the villains so that they wouldn't kill everyone else present. It's an understandable argument, but Luan's anger is equally as understandable.
  • Jerkass Ball: Some people have criticized Luan as being too harsh towards Asherah in this story. See Both Sides Have a Point above for elaboration.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Luan is more tomboyish than Asherah as shown in season four. Aftet reconciling, the two engage in a light-hearted discussion where Asherah expresses mild annoyance in Luan's pranking tendencies, and also is grossed out by her fart joke. Luan also discovers that Asherah is actually a fan of the girly Princess Pony franchise, just like her sister Lucy. The trope is downplayed since Luan has some feminine traits despite her prankster tendencies while Asherah is also a clinically-minded young girl of science.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Luan is this compared to Asherah when they fight. Asherah has a little more fighting technique, but Luan is an experienced brawler, since she has fought with her sisters all her life. Luan wins the fight.

     Lynn Loud
  • All Amazons Want Hercules: Lynn and Maxie both love each other precisely because they're so alike. They're both strong, tough, masculine, hot-blooded, rowdy, and boisterous individuals who enjoy competing with each other and engaging in banter. Maxie loves these things about Lynn just as much as she loves them about him.
  • Break the Cutie: Lynn gets put through HELL in this story.
  • Love at First Punch: Lynn meets, befriends [[and eventually falls in love with]] Maxie Cooper, a boy she first encounters inside a ring of fire, where the two are forced to fight to the death for everyone's entertainment. They stalemate, form a truce, and manage to escape together. From there, they gradually get closer and closer.

     Lucy Loud

     Lana and Lola Loud

     Lisa Loud

     The other Louds

     Ronnie Anne Santiago

It's a Kid's World original characters

All the characters that debut and/or play a major role in Just Some Ordinary Dude's/Tales of Interest's story "It's a Kid's World."

    Lord Viribus/Jake Kelly/Boris Durvil
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_viribus.png

His real name Jake Kelly, Viribus is an alias he uses as a means of channelling fear towards others. He was once a pushover when he was young, and was frequently bullied and rejected by others. He grew up bitter and resentful of the world and wanted to change it into what considers to be an ideal society, with upgraded beings. Usually, this entails transforming humans into robotic servants that obey his will. He is the Big Bad of many of Just Some Ordinary Dude's Fan Fictions, including It's a Kid's World, Pushover or Payback. Two Peas in a Prison and The Loud's Finest Hour.

  • Big Bad: He is essentially the Arch-Enemy of the Loud family across the entire multiverse. Lynn and Lincoln in particular have quite a lot of beef with this guy.
  • Eviler than Thou: In "The Loud's Finest Hour", he proves to be this compared to the show's canon rogues gallery, so much so that they're forced into an Enemy Mine with the Loud family in order to stop him. Their plans are to rid Michigan of cherries, bully children on the school bus, or even just get some peace and quiet. His plan? To conquer the entire multiverse with an army of evil robots that are really converted children from other worlds.
  • Foil: Like Lincoln, he was sometimes the victim of bullying and could be seen as a bit of a pushover when he was younger. However, Lincoln faced all the hardships he was dealt with an headstrong and optimistic mentality, and retained his kind and idealistic world view no matter what. Viribus became bitter, spiteful, and aggressive as a result of what he endured.
    • He's also this with Lynn Junior, as it's also revealed he was the reason she turned so violent in some universes/timelines. Both of them turned sour and violent towards others after they were bullied, but for all Lynn's character flaws, she still means well (in her own way) and she definitely loves her family. Viribus hates everyone and doesn't share Lynn's redeemable traits, and takes the same mentality she has about being tough and dominant and takes it to it's most extreme.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: He was once a little boy who was picked on and excluded. Now he's a crazy and violent man hell bent on revenge against the world, and a very formidable threat, too.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: He's the reason for Lynn's antagonistic and abrasive behaviour after her dreaded first day at Middle School, as it's revealed he took her under his wing and taught her to be aggressive and to always prevail against all others by any means necessary.
    • He's also this in "Inside the Loud House". While Morag and the Miller family were the ones carrying out the nefarious plans in that story, it ultimately revealed they were just part of a bigger collection of foes that had teamed up against the Loud's, with Viribus being their leader, but he doesn't actually show up himself until the following story.
  • Meaningful Name: The name he chose, "Viribus", means the word "strength" in Latin, which of course reflects how he tries to make himself appear strong and invincible at all times towards others.
    • He also assumes the identity of Boris Durvil in "It's a Kid's World" when he poses as the last adult man on earth. Of course, this name is just an anagram of Lord Viribus.
  • Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The villainous and aggressive manly man to Lincoln's heroic and humble sensitive guy. He tells Lincoln he despises him precisely because he doesn't lash out against the world, and views him as too weak and passive to stand up for himself against those that wrong him. Viribus has no such qualms about using his might and will to crush all adversaries and make himself a powerful and feared being.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: See From Nobody to Nightmare above.

    Maxie Cooper
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_maxie.png

Lynn's friend who eventually becomes her boyfriend. In "It's a Kid's World", they meet by being forced to fight it out inside a literal circle of fire. In the B-Canon timeline, they meet when Lynn attends a fancy party as part of a bet that Maxie was working as a young security guard in.

  • Amazon Chaser: He loves Lynn precisely because she's so tough and tomboyish, revealing that he always found it hard to talk to more feminine girls given his own crass nature. He also respects her as one of the few people his own age capable of giving him a tough fight.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Downplayed. Maxie is very aggressive and easily prone to anger, but despite this, he can be a pretty chill guy sometimes and isn't actively malicious. He sticks up for Lynn when he sexist friends try to exclude her, and he even put his life on the line for her when they were captured and forced to fight in the ring of fire.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: In "It's a Kid's World", when he and Lynn are captured by the EWF, he volunteers to fight in the ring of fire on her behalf so that she remain out of harm's way. After some shenanigans, this does end up costing the boy his life as he gets kille by the large bruiser Atilla the Hulk.
  • Love at First Punch: He first meets ,befriends, and then eventually falls in love with Lynn by throwing down with her in the EWF inside an actual ring of fire.
  • Men Are Tough: He's tough, aggressive, and full of bravado and macho banter. As such, he's actually the perfect match for Lynn Junior.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Before they become a couple, he and Lynn have this dynamic. They both like each other for their bravado and abrasive personalities, but this also means that they can sometimes butt heads and get very competitive with each other. They still like each other regardless, and it anything, their stand-offs just make them grow even more fond of each other.
  • Worf Had the Flu: He lost and ultimately died in his fight against Atilla the Hulk. However, this was only because his friend turned rival Dennis interfered and distracted him, as he was actually on the verge of winning until that point.

    Asherah
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_asherah.png

A mysterious fortune teller girl with a crystal ball device that presents visions of past and future events. In reality, this is a gimmick that conceals the fact that she is really a young science prodigy capable of many incredible feats.

  • The Bus Came Back: Asherah was last seen vanishing near the end of It's a Kid's World, and wasn't seen again in any of Just Some Ordinary Dude's stories after that since he shifted focus to his B-canon timeline. That was until The Loud's Finest Hour, where she returns along with her own timeline's versions of the Loud siblings to help with the final battle against Lord Viribus and his multiversal army of robots.
  • Catfight: Inverted. Asherah and Luan finally come to blows after it is revealed that Asherah let Lisa get captured by the villains, but it's actually quite a vicious and brutal brawl. Luan wins, albeit just barely, by forcing Asherah to submit.
  • Child Prodigy: Downplayed compared to Lisa Loud since she's considerably older than her, but still much younger than someone who you'd expect to have her level of scientific knowledge and capabilities.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While Asherah could come across as a bit of a jerkass at first, such as when she scared the Loud sisters with her horrifying visions of the future and when she coldly but fairly pointed out that Lisa's well-being was not more important than the rest of the children camping at Groove Hill to her sisters, she was ultimately doing what she believed was right, and she did argue a perfectly valid case. She did not threaten the Loud family outright, Luan's just mistakenly percieved her words as such. She did let Lisa get captured by Viribus, but trying to stop him would have just resulted in many more casualties and likely wouldn't have prevented her capture anyway. Plus, she did go out of her way to revive Lincoln after he was killed by Chester Bundy, and yet Luan and Lola still hated and distrusted her for it. Luan, despite having an understandable reason for doing so, was being very harsh towards Asherah.
  • Hidden Depths: At first, she seems the superstitous type, posing as a fortune teller in a tent with a crystal ball, similar to the type of shtick someone like Lucy would do. However, it's later revealed that this is a front to cover up the fact that much like Lisa, she is actually a young science prodigy.
  • Magic Versus Science: Asherah's very character plays around with this trope. At first, it seems like she's a fortune teller with a crystal ball that can magically see into the future. It turns out it's only a gimmick, the magical part isn't really there, and instead, she is just a scientist with a device she made, meaning her visions into the future are done through technological means.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: A Downplayed case with Asherah as the GirlyGirl to Luan's Tomboy. After the two patch things up and start interacting in a more friendly way in season 4 of It's a Kid's World, the two briefly have a discussion where Asherah brings up how she thinks Luan's pranks are immature and unladylike. She's also grossed out when Luan does a fart joke on her. In the same conversation, Asherah mentions she actually likes the ultra girly Princess Pony franchise that Lucy is into, to Luan's surprise and slight amusement. Downplayed since Asherah is also a clinically minded woman of science and Luan her own fair share of girly traits.

    Chester Bundy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_chester.png

An evil little boy that rises up the ranks in the new council of children established in Royal Woods after the adults are gone. He climbs the ladder to power and eventually takes over the whole city. He claims his ideas of expansion and exclusion are for the sake of population and scarcity of resources, but in actuality, he's just a bitter little brat who enjoys hurting and killing others.

  • Cold-Blooded Torture: He loves doing this to others.
  • Eviler than Thou: Compared to all the other antagonists and villains of not only the canon series, but also the other villains exclusive to "It's a Kid's World" as well. Even Viribus, for all his despicable and insane actions, has somewhat noble intentions. Chester has no redeemable qualities whatsoever.
    • He's also this to Chandler. In the canon series, Chandler is a Jerk with a Heart of Jerk that bullies Lincoln, but he never goes beyond just being a generic jerk. In this series, he's much more benevolent, but even at his worst, Chandler could never compare to Chester, who is his antagonist for a large portion of "It's a Kid's World."
  • Eye Scream: He cuts out Lucy's eye when she talks back to him just to remind her who's boss.
  • For the Evulz: He seems to enjoy causing chaos and inflicting pain on people.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: He mentions that before the adults vanished at the start of "It's a Kid's World", he was just a loner who was left out and ignored by all the other kids. After climbing up the ranks in the newly formed council of children, he became the sole ruler of Royal Woods that frequently tortured and murdered others for crossing him.
  • Meaningful Name: Chester's last name is Bundy, after Serial Killer Ted Bundy. Chester turns out to be just as vile.

    Don Morito
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_don.png

He is the son of the local mafia boss in Great Lakes City. After the Big Vanish and the adults are all gone, he assumes control of the mafia now comprised of children and teens and uses his henchmen and weaponry to take control of the city. He drives Ronnie Anne and Sid out of the city and captures their friends. He also takes on Carl Casagrande as his personal servant.

  • Hidden Depths: For the son of a highly regarded mafia boss and the new leader once the adults vanish, he is actually quite intelligent, well spoken, and even sophisticated in his composure. He frequently refers to social-political theories of history and well known distinguished thinkers to justify his own actions.
  • Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Don is the strong-minded, ruthless, calculating and tough manly man while Dickie is the nice and friendly, utterly innocent sensitive kid.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: He is a ruthless and cold-blooded, tough mafia leader that rules Great Lakes City after the adults vanish from existence. His brother Dickie is a sweet and innocent Cheerful Child that doesn't have a mean or malicious bone in his body. The two are still brothers nonetheless, even if Don admits he doesn't understand his younger sibling.

    Dickie Morito
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_dickie.png

The younger brother of Don Morito. They may be brothers, but they are nothing alike. Dickie is a happy and childish, innocent little boy who has business running a mafia of any kind. After Carl kills Don and Dickie ascends to become the new mafia boss, Carl quickly manages to convince the others to betray Dickie due to how inept he is at such a ruthless and dirty job.

  • Children Are Innocent: In a story where so many kids are either actively villainous or are forced to do very drastic things for the sake of survival, Dickie Morito is oddly enough one of the biggest examples of this in the story. Despite being part of a mafia family, he is not a mean or morally compromised boy in the slightest. Even when his brother dies by Carl's hands and Dickie is made the new leader, he is too soft and kind-hearted to take to being a mafia boss properly, and as such, is replaced by Carl.
  • Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Don is the strong-minded, ruthless, calculating and tough manly man while Dickie is the nice and friendly, utterly innocent sensitive kid.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Don is a ruthless and cold-blooded, tough mafia leader that rules Great Lakes City after the adults vanish from existence. His brother Dickie is a sweet and innocent Cheerful Child that doesn't have a mean or malicious bone in his body. The two are still brothers nonetheless, even if Don admits he doesn't understand his younger sibling.

    Shi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_shi.png

A high-ranking member of the group of the monks that Ronnie Anne manages to recruit into her army when she and Sid travel to the Arvon Temple.

  • Action Hero: He is one of the good guys and is among the toughest, being a highly trained monk that is capable of getting the best of Ronnie Anne during their sparring.
  • All Monks Know Kung-Fu: Shi and all his fellow monks from Mount Arvon are all shown to be skilled martial artists, with Shi being probably the best of them all.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He is loyal to Ronnie Anne, to the point where during the Human Harvest, he stands in front of Ronnie Anne and willingly gives his life to defend her from a group of zombie enemies.
  • Warrior Monk: He is a highly skilled martial artist and he uses his skills a lot to help Ronnie Anne and her forces win their battles.

Characters from other stories

Characters that appeared in Just Some Ordinary Dude's other stories.

    Barbara "Babs" Bestie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_babs.png

A tough and aggressive tomboyish rival to Lynn Junior. She makes her debut in "The Quest for Glory" where she is aligned with Dr Linnaeus and the Miller family. She acts as the main antagonist for everyone to beat in the Royal Woods Astonishing Quest. After she is defeated by the Louds and the villain's plan are thwarted, Babs reforms and becomes relatively friendly with the Louds, though she still frequently gets into scuffles with Lynn.

  • Always Someone Better: She is this to Lynn in "The Quest for Glory", easily besting her in a fight and proving to be even more dominant in the challenges of the Astonishing Quest than Lynn usually is. Though this turns out to be because Babs is wearing a power vest that enhances her physical capabilities. When depowered, she and Lynn are more evenly matched.
    • In the past, she dominated everyone, male and female, that she went up against during all her big fight events. Then she fought the male champion of her age and weight category, Ace, and while it was an incredibly tough fight and she even had the upper hand for most of the match, she came up short in the end.
  • Blood Knight: She's a champion fighter and is always down for a good scuffle.
  • Competition Freak: To the point that she was willing to align herself with villains and wear a super-enhancement power vest in her debut story.
  • Fiery Redhead: Babs deliberately dyes her hair red because it represents the blood of her enemies.
  • Meaningful Name: Her surname is BESTie, and she certainly strives to be the best.
  • The Rival: Babs and Lynn are certainly this.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Babs and Beth may be sisters, but they couldn't be more different. The only thing they have in common is their red hair. Babs is a tough and abrasive tomboy while Beth is a more feminine and graceful pageant girl.
  • Tomboy: Calling her that would be an understatement. Babs is a buff, aggressive, incredibly standoff-ish girl who has an obssession with being the strongest and toughest. She is full of masculine bravado and has a competitive nature that even rivals Lynn's own. She doesn't have any femininity whatsoever. At one point, she even claims she has a macho reputation to uphold.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Babs is a huge tomboy who loves being tough and strong while her sister Beth is an aspiring pageant girl with a lot more elegance and grace.
  • Unwillingly Girly Tomboy: In Class or Crass, Babs is goaded into a bet where she competes with Lynn to see which of them can pretend to be an elegant and feminine lady at a fancy party the longest. This involved Babs wearing a dress, doing a curtsy, suppressing her violent urges, and minding her manners all night. Needless to say, neither girl managed to keep up the act for too long.

    Elizabeth "Beth" Bestie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_beth_21.png

She is Babs Bestie's sister and a fellow pageant girl that befriends Lola.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: For the most part, Beth is a nice and approachable, classy young lady and is much nicer than her rough and abrasive sister. That being said, she does have a more devious and scheming side to her, as shown in "Class or Crass" when she and Lola compete in a bet.
  • GirlyGirl: While she isn't as experienced at pageants as Lola, she is actually even better at behaving like an elegant and graceful lady than her, since she has less of a Hair-Trigger Temper. Like Lola, she is an aspiring pageant girl with a very feminine style.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Babs and Beth may be sisters, but they couldn't be more different. The only thing they have in common is their red hair. Babs is a tough and abrasive tomboy while Beth is a more feminine and graceful pageant girl.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Babs is a huge tomboy who loves being tough and strong while her sister Beth is an aspiring pageant girl with a lot more elegance and grace.

    Alternate Universe Albert
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tv_tropes_alt_albert.png

He is an evil Corrupt Corportate Executive from an alternate timeline that Lincoln and Lisa travel to in "New Worlds and Old Soldiers." He is an ex-war veteran who was permanently injured and disfigured during his service. He expected praise for his actions, but when this didn't happen, he grew bitter over his lack of respect as well as what he had lost. Now he has big plans to make up for what he feels was a wasted lifetime.

  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: He's the epitome of an evil-minded, ruthless and selfish businessman.
  • Evil Counterpart: He's the counterpart of Albert/Pop Pop from another world. While Pop Pop is a Cool Old Guy who holds the respect of his entire family, this version of Albert is an overly-ambitious and bitter, evil old man that intends screws up the lives of his own family just so he can force his daughter to help him with his evil plans.
  • Evil Cripple: He is bound to a wheelchair and has a glass eye, and he is a very malicious and dastardly old man.
  • Glass Eye: He has one of these.
