Race Bannon
Sues Dr. Benton Quest for custody of Benton's sons, Johnny and Hadji, arguing that because he raised the boys more than Benton did, he has a better claim to being their real father. Later revealed to be a robot made by Dr. Zin. The real Race returns in a later episode, this time suing the US Government with Benton for the right of gay marriage.- Adaptational Sexuality: He is gay.
- Adaptational Villainy: While he wasn't the one suing Benton, it is implied that he conspired with Dr. Zin to produce the full-body mold used to build the robot.
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: He and Benton Quest were friends in the original show. They are married in this series.
- Straight Gay: Race is about the manliest man in the series. And gay.

- Adaptational Sexuality: He is gay.
- Ambiguously Gay: ...or, at any rate, he lives with Race. Benton doesn't seem to be interested in much beyond his experiments, though.
- Adaptational Jerkass: He's a good father in the original series and even has some Papa Wolf moments. Here he's so wrapped up in his scientific work that he's basically a non-entity in Jonny and Hadji's lives, and even the supervillains believe Bannon is the better caregiver.
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: He and Race Bannon were friends in the original show. They are married in this series.
- For Science!: Works against him in court, as he's clearly more excited to talk about his research than about Jonny and Hadji, which helps Vulturo's case.
- Parental Neglect: To a ridiculous degree. He shows zero emotional attachment to Jonny and Hadji, doesn't remember their names or even what they look like, and only seems to care about what they're doing when they damage his equipment.
- Standard '50s Father: Played for Laughs as he's unfailingly polite, even when he's threatening the boys.

Ernie Devlin
A stunt jumper whose constant injuries and subsequent pill addiction cause him to lose his sense of morality and good judgement. Was sued twice (by the same person, no less) and later planned to make a will with Harvey.- Dented Iron: His body is a complete mess from years of stunt injuries and he pops painkillers like candy, but he's hard to keep down for long.
- Scatterbrained Senior: Thanks to both age and numerous head injuries.
