The Party
Dorro Knott
Dorro Knott: Halfling Rogue
Played By: Doug Horn
The reincarnation of Tir, the God of Travel.
Formerly a member in an all-halfling thieves gang, Dorro stole a valuable sapphire from Baron Henri Le Flure. After learning of his godly heritage, and that the Baron had all the members of his guild killed, he has since sworn vengence on him and come to accpet his part in a new family of Godlings.
- Berserk Button: Any appearance of Baron Le Fleure becomes this to him, making him willing abandon the party's plans or break stealth for his stated goal of ruining every facet of the Baron's life. This has occasionally gotten him or the entire party into trouble.
- Beware the Silly Ones: Dorro is usually one of the more playful and less serious team members, but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of blowing up an entire ship and the plans he instigates tend to end up with him on top.
- Extradimensional Shortcut
- Five-Finger Discount: He's a member of a thieves guild when we first meet him.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Torrvic
- Loveable Rogue
- Stock Shōnen Hero: Doug reveals in one of the mailbags that Dorro is inspired by Monkey D. Luffy. He's a +0 INT, Hot-Blooded hero and his main motivation does seem to be protecting his friends.
- Instant Expert: Averted. He is the first to realize that the party can train their godly powers and teaches the others how to improve their skills.
- Thieves' Cant
- To the Pain: What he wants to do to Baron Le Flure—he's flat-up stated that killing him wouldn't be enough.
Phryane Tinueth
Phryane Tinueth: High Elf Bard
Played By: KayThe Reincarnation of Pelios, the God of Emotion.
- Arranged Marriage: With Queen Sirena.
- Emotion Control: Can control and manipulate the emotions of others, and as a consequence Questionable Consent is a consideration.
- For the Greater Good: Phryane genuinely wants to protect Ani, and she is totally willing to use her Emotion Control powers to that end. However, she doesn't seem to realize how disturbing it is for other people when they realize they've been magically manipulated—the person hurt most was Queen Sirena, who was manipulated into thinking she was genuinely in love with Phryane and that Phryane loved her back, but members of the party are also disturbed in retrospect by the things they did when under her influence.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: Her usurption of the throne of Ani actually does benefit the people, but since most of them fall under her thrall, when they come out of it, they assume that she's evil. Kay actually compares the in-game response of her character to the response to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: With Haldir.
Xion Praeten
Xion Praeten: Human Sorceror
Played By: Michael KeyThe Reincarnation of Voara, the Goddess of Force.
A young acolyte of Kadar, a nation built on a religion of anti-magic. His mother sent him away after a seeker stone reacted to the divine magic flowing within him.
- Coming-Out Story: His character is a former member of an anti-magic cult. After developing magic powers he is forced to run away from home. He's also gay, and the sorceror from an anti-magic family allegory has a second layer of meaning.
- Instant Armor: Can cast Mage Armor as the Godling of Force.
- Mind over Matter: He is the reincarnation of Voara, Goddess of Force. This is the main way his power manifests.
- The Smart Guy: More or less functions as this for the party; he started out as a nerd in Kadar and remains one of the most intellectual team members.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Cheese.
- White Sheep: Seems to be this to most of his family.
Torrvic Wildtongue
Torrvic Wildtongue: Dwarf Paladin
Played By: StephenReincarnation of Ova, the Goddess of Beasts.
The spirits of nature reached out to him and left an onyx claw on a silver chain, joining him with a White Wolf, an avatar of Ova.
- Action Dad: Is the father of probably-still-unborn twins at the Spear of Jardin, although they clearly have inherited some divinity and are growing at an unnatural rate. He's en route to this trope.
- The Alcoholic
- Healing Hands: Of the standard variety; his healing doesn't induce pain like Pera.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Dorro
- Manly Facial Hair: Torrvic's beard is features vines growing through it since he connected with the Dragonturtle, and, as a Running Gag, persists when he shapeshifts - Whatever animal he shifts into, it's that animal with a stereotypical dwarf beard.
- Nature Hero: Being the reincarnation of Ova, Goddess of Beasts, this is a given.
- Speaks Fluent Animal: Can communicate with all sorts of beasts, but it is explicitly nonverbal. He can feel their wills and desires.
- Voluntary Shapeshifting: Learns how to transform into different animals, very similar to the Druid's Wild Shape ability.
Pera Rivers
Pera Rivers: Human Cleric
"Played" By: Aram Vartian (as a DMPC)Reincarnation of Siforr, the God of the Sun. Originally set up to be a player character, the Dungeon Master Aram took over after his player dropped out of the game.
Pera was the middle child of three siblings. He watched his older brother slain before he was held in captivity by Baron Le Flure. He is saved by Dorro Knott while the rogue was attempting to steal from Le Flure.
- Break the Cutie: Happened to him in backstory—from what we can tell, he was a normal kid before his brother was murdered in front of him and he was kidnapped, taken across the world, and locked in a tiny room.
- Brought Down to Normal: after using his power to absorb an entire forest fire, Pera loses his powers. It's temporary, but that's not immediately obvious and party anxiety is high for an episode.
- Embarrassing Last Name: How the players react to his last name of "Rivers."
- Healing Hands: Like all clerics, but as the Godling of the Sun, his healing powers painfully involve fire. Those he heals feel their bodies burning to the core, but regain their hitpoints anyway. Leads to some Body Horror moments.
- Out of the Inferno: Pera tends to lose his clothes in this manner.
- Playing with Fire: All of his powers involve fire, to the point where the party is not sure if he is the Godling of Fire or the Godling of the Sun.
- Power of the Sun: It is revealed by the God King that he is the reincarnation of Siforr, God of the Sun. As long as he's in the Sun, he can use most of his abilities without limit, and can store that power for later.
Rina Falaval
Rina Falaval: Wood Elf Ranger
Played By: KellyReincarnation of Jodar, the God of Luck. Rina is introduced later in Season 2.
The apprentice of her cousin Aramil, Rina was kept from meeting the party when they first entered the Ironwood Forest. She is teleported along with her cousin while the Party is in the Union, but remains with the party after he is sent back. She acts as the party's ranger, making all sorts of lucky shots with her power to manipulate the probabilities of the world.
- Born Lucky: She is the reincarnation of Jodar, the God of Luck.
- In game she is given a d24 to roll instead of a d20, where all values 20 and greater count as criticals.
- Critical Failure: She is not the God of good luck, and when she rolls a 1, the Random Number God is not forgiving.
- Friendly Sniper
- Friend to All Living Things: Judging from her complete willingness to pick up and care for two baby owlbears after their mother dies, she has at least a few shades of this.
- Winds of Destiny, Change: When at her full potential, she can see the whole of probability laid out before her, and picks the path that best helps her.
