Quadzo
Quadzo Headward Shortstakk/Shortstakk
- Archnemesis Dad: He's the Arc Villain for the majority of the Ladies Book Club prequel comic, before his eventual Heel–Face Turn.
- Fantasy-Forbidding Father: In the prequel comic, he is shown to be against Legzi going to college, as he would prefer to see her learning to run the family business.
- Jerkass Realization: When he sees just how much Legzi's friends mean to her, he realizes how douchy he has been and allows her to go to Darkmouth, after all.
- Middle Name Basis: Downplayed. He sometimes goes by his middle name. This was done to explain away the Continuity Snarl of him having been named twice in the show.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: How he finally gets Legzi into Darkmouth.
- Workaholic: The brings-the-work-home kind. His house is filled with mannequin legs and books about them.
Heartricia
Heartricia Shortstakk
- Continuity Snarl: A pretty big one. She's stated to still be alive in Season Two, but is depicted as having passed away in the Prequel Comic.
- Generation Xerox: Much like her daughter, she is/was also a member of a trio of adventurers.
- Genius Bruiser: A competent adventurer who also runs business side of a factory along with her husband.
- Happily Married: By all accounts, she's had a good relationship with Legzi's father.
- The Lost Lenore: Serves as this for Quadzo in the comic.
Fyllemore "Fylle"
Fyllemore "Fylle"
The father of Rah'ōxah.
- Artificial Limbs: He has a removable robotic arm made for him by Quadzo, (the only arm he ever created.) Though he's not wearing it when first summoned, as he was completely unprepared for it.
- Blessed with Suck: During his first appearance, he receives the entirely unwanted and uncontrollable power to shoot explosions from his eyes.
- Do Not Call Me "Paul": Hates being called by his full name (which he inherited from his father) and much prefers "Fylle."
- Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: With Rah'ōxah's mother, assuming that Higher Education Is for Women and that "stabbing prisoners with a pitchfork" counts as a tomboyish trait.
- Non-Action Guy: He's a librarian — a librarian working at a demon prison mind you, but still — because he prefers the relatively laid-back lifestyle which comes with such a job.
- Popularity Polynomial: In-Universe. Being very Long-Lived, he hasn't changed his haircut for at least 70 years, and it's started becoming fashionable again.
- Spell My Name With An S: Like his daughter, he has a normal name (Phil) spelled in a "fantasy-esque" way.
Rah'ōxah's mom
Rah'ōxah's mom
- Generation Xerox: Much like her daughter, she seems to harbor a great love for adventure.
- The Ghost: Unless that one elf woman from the prequel comic was intended to be her, in which case her husband got a hefty redesign between issues.
- Hero of Another Story: Like (maybe) the other mothers of the ladies book club, she's also said to be out questing offscreen.
- No Name Given: Never given a name.
- Torture Technician: Works as this in the same demon prison as Ryjinah's parents.
Ryjinah's dad
Ryjinah's dad
- Bad Powers, Good People: Is somewhere between this and Affably Evil. He does sustain himself on suffering gets a kick out of his job, but he otherwise acts like a decent man and a doting father. Perhaps a case of Pay Evil unto Evil?
- Dem Bones: He's a necromancer, much like his daughter, and uses his abilities to raise skeletal soldiers during the fight against the porflings.
- Jack of All Trades: Ryjinah describes him as a "jack of all tortures."
- No Name Given: His name is apparently unpronounceable in the common tongue.
- Punch-Clock Villain: He does work as a Torture Technician at a demon prison, but he's a perfectly personable guy in private.
